why the e-mails from one of my regular contacts has suddenly become SPAM and are automatically being sent into my junk folder?...this has only happened over the last few days and I've checked all my settings and they are still okay. I don't have any problem when receiving any of my other contact e-mails .

I hope some one from Microsoft see this and they reconsider putting a update to re add this feature. I just got this computer and already I want to send it back. I really need folders to keep my contacts sorted. Either add the option or let me download the old Outlook to install. And buying Office outlook is not a option.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSorry, I could not find the correct place to post this. Basically some how I accidently moved my Contacts folder into my Windows folder. Now the Windows folder template has dissapeared and in place of it is the Contact template, when I open it i can add and remove contacts but inside the folder is all of the Windows sub folders. How do I get this back to normal please, I am afraid someone else will hop on my computer and carelesly delete my contacts folder which contains all those subfolders. I did try one result i saw about going into regedit and deleting those "Bag" files but they didnt work.

Then I need to re-download all the messages, either by clicking on them or by synchronizing the folder. As the number of messages is quite high, this takes a lot of time and is an annoyance every time it happens.

I have no idea why its missing. I tried to copy it from my laptop with vista but i cant do it (don`t have needed permissions). Only solution i have found is to buy it for 30$. but that`s not and option. Im running Vista ultimate 64 bit.

For some reason i do not have any Admin rights when i log on to the server. It treats me as a regular user, I think. I can't change security settings, can't install any programs, can't browse the network. Is this the way Vista is supposed to work or is something broken? And how do i get real Admin privileges?

I'm running a triple boot of Server x64 RC2, Vista x64 SP1 RC, and Vista x86, installed on two internal hard disk drives. These are SATA drives, but not hybrids. They both have 8MB caches. (One is a Samsung HM250JI. The other is a Hitachi TravelStar 7K100.) I also have 1GB of Intel's Robson NAND. Now, in Disk Management, a 513MB (sic) FAT32 partition is there, called NVCACHE. It's listed as its own HDD, sandwiched between HDD 0 and HDD 1. So, there are two possible explanations as far as I can see: 1st candidate explanation: There's an Intel page that discusses Turbo Memory, which uses the "NVCACHE" term when describing its support for Vista ReadyDrive and "T13 specification Command Handling," which I had assumed applied just to hybrid hard drives, not to regular HDDs.
The other thing that's fishy is the 513MB cache size. Where'd the remaining 511MB go if this system has a full 1GB Robson NAND? Was I gyped out of 512MB of NAND? 2nd candidate explanation: This has something to do with the SATA caching functionality that I have enabled in the x86 partition. [See: Device Manager -> Disk Drives -> right-click on a SATA drive -> Properties -> Policies -> Enable Write Caching on the Disk -> Enable Advanced Performance.] If that's the purpose, then the question is: Do I need to confine my use of the SATA cache to one OS installation, or am I safe to enable this function in all of the OSes simultaneously? (Will overwrites by different OSes of each others' caches destabilize the system or not?)
Following the instructions to fix this doesn't work because everytime I try to do something I get a window that asks for a password for "ASP.NET Machine Account". I have no idea what the password for this account is and leaving it blank doesn't work. I have a standard login now that won't allow me to create a new account of any sort nor can I make changes to my standard user account without permission from the ASP.NET Machine Account.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI had been using the true admin account to do my everyday work (now i know i shouldn't have) also had my old admin account (both password protected) and lastnight i decided to change my SID using the NewSid program just for kicks and giggles.. the first time around it just sat there for a couple hours not managing anything but to open a new account.. the ASP.net machine account... since i had no idea what it was or what it did i chose to delete it (again, now i know i shouldn't have).. then i tried the NewSid again, only this time it worked.. it did what it was supposed to change registries and hives, and rebooted the system.. only to find out I only had my guest account, my admin and regular account were not showing up at all just the guest one is showing up yet my hard drive is still intact, and I can still see my admin and regular account folders.. just cant access them..

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have got Auslogics Defrag program and after each defrag I do it tells me I have a number of junk files, at present 971 sometimes its way over 1000 and I then do a disk cleanup hoping to get rid of them, but after installing another game or program of some sort, again I am told I have several junk files.
I would like to know how I can get rid as it also tells me that they can slow the PC down and lessen performance, not that my PC is a slouch, far from it, but I still don't like the idea of junk files on my PC and would like for once to sort this out, as before I have never taken any notice of it, perhaps I should have, but thats me, untidy as always!

This is my second time around testing Vista ultimate 64 bit and after much testing I cannot believe what a heap of absolute rubbish this OS is. How many years did it take Microsoft to develop this junk? I have the latest drivers/software/ quad core intel 6700 CPU with a modern motherboard and running 8GB of RAM. Yeah....I anticipate that you are all screaming and tearing your hair out and gnashing your teeth because I have told the truth about this piece of OS junk.
Vista Ultimate will not remain stable if you load and use a substantial amount of software on your computer. Yet both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of XP Pro are relatively stable. I am a business man and I can tell you that vista is unreliable and a total waste of money. In fact microsoft should pay anyone to use this piece of rubbish and the amount of time wasted attempting to trace down problems.....
I thought I would download the new Ubuntu 8.04 and give it a try because all the Ubuntu nut jobs were saying how cool Ubuntu is with their new release. I installed Ubuntu on my machine. I tried Open Office Spreadsheet. I thought I would try to enter a Macro then run it. I then had to install Java to be able to run a macro. If I didn't know that I needed to use Synaptic to figure out how to get the Java update, I would be screwed along with many others who try this crap. Just FYI
OK, so Java installs. BFD. It works but it isn't that good. Now, lets play some music. I navigated to bobrivers.com to play a tune. I was prompted to install some more updates. Fine. Did that. The install went OK. Then I had to install a couple more updates. That went fine. Now I clicked on the song to play and the page just froze.
No wonder why Ubuntu is such a piece of crap. Can't play a simple tune from a web page. Now in Vista, I could navigate right to the page, play the song and I would be as happy as a clam in a whorehouse.
Is there any way to REMOVE the Junk Mail Box? I do not want any of my mail going to the junk mail box because it's too easy to miss mail you DO want that way. I want all downloaded mail to stay in the inbox until I move it. I always was able to DELETE the junk mail box in Outlook, and that is the way I prefer it. Why does MS have to make things harder instead of easier?!
