I used to open a picture from Windows Photo Gallery and click E-mail and Windows Mail would automatically open for me to send the photo to my contacts. Now when I click E-mail, I get a dialogue box asking what file size to attach it as, I choose, and it closes. How can I bring back this feature?
View 6 RepliesHow do you import photos into windows photo gallery that are on disk? It won't let you add them if they're already in the Pictures folder. And if import them from outside pictures folder it just includes that outside folder. The help is hideous for this app!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have MSN so I can't send photos from my Windows Photo Gallery. It says it's not compatible. So in sending attachments from my MSN e-mail, I am having trouble with attachment size. For some reason some of my photos end up being over 1,500 KB. Which of course takes forever to send. I need to make them smaller some how. I don't know how they got bigger. When some of them are normal sized and they are taken with the same camera and imported the same way.

When i look at a thumbnail of a picture it looks fine till i open it with windows picture gallery... it opens it and it looks all yellow and i have to "fix" every pic i look at, and it still doesn't look any better! Using Vista Home Premium on HP Pavilion a6120n Computer why does Photo Gallery and an HP Officejet5610 All-in-One print only half of an intended 8 x 10 on Soft Gloss paper but the complete picture on regular paper ? This printer has had some other peculiarities but this is the latest. Other programs do print the 8 x 10 but the quality looks poorer.

I re-associated jpegs with the Photo Gallery, but whereas previously a double click on a jpg would open that image on its own in Photo Gallery, now it opens up the whole Gallery with 100's of thumbs.

With the older outlook product I was always able to cut and paste the column into the TO field and send mass emailings. Now that I am using winmail I get an error when I try to do this: CHECK NAMES: no matches found ........I have a clunky work around-I have added semicolins to each email address in the excel sheet but this of course is not a useful permanent fix. Can someone tell me how to turn off the "check names" feature or if this is not possible, how winmail can be used with excel to send mass mailings.

Well it does not! I am a very long time computer user with years of experience and never had this problem with Outlook Xpress. I know how to set up groups but cannot find the path to it. View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently "upgraded" from XP to Xista Home Premium. Big mistake! I have used my camera to take group photos for years and I used the camera's recording function as a means to identify the people in the photos. It worked great! Now, with Vista, I am unable to get any sound whatsoever. The visual indicator moves across the screen as though there was sound there.
I have tried "open with" different alternatives with no results. I can get sound by kind of going in through another program (Roxio) so I know the sound is there. Vista has cost me a significant amount in that I could not use some programs plus I had to buy a new printer.
I have an older computer, running XP, and I used Microsoft Digital Library, to keep track of about 2K images. I now have a new computer, running Vista, and have used the "transfer files " (using a USB) option, on Vista, to import all the photos, to the new HD. I also installed the old Microsoft Digital Image Suite (including the "libr ary"), on the new Vista=A0HD. Some of the photo files transferred just fine - dates taken, labels, etc.; however, a bunch of them transferred with totally incorrect dates taken, an d missing, or no labels. Needless to say, to fix this mess, on an individual photo file basis, is go ing to take forever. (I did change a few of the dates taken, and added labe ls, using the Photo Gallery, on Vista, and it did work, but there are tons of them, still wrong.)
View 6 Replies View Relatedwhy my photos pixelate when I zoom into them, they are okay for a few zoom clicks, but then they begin to pixelate, the problem seems to be the same on Photo shop, Picaso and my other programs, but its a little bit better on Office Picture Manager (which I still have on a trial basis) the same pictures were perfectly okay on my old computer and I could zoom right into them without pixelation, my old computer is a far lower spec than my Sony vio so I expected the photo facilities to be as good or better on the Sony. The odd thing is that the photos look perfect when the screen saver slide show enlarges them, no pixelation at all!

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to do this it says it is going to take around 7 hours and nothing else happens..I know it shouldn't be doing this and that I am doing everything correctly as it used to work fine. However I recently had to reinstall vista on my laptop and don't know if this has caused a change which will prevent photos burning now! I am using CD-R discs and my drive is compatible with DVD discs and CD-R and CD-RW so I'm not going wrong here! All the discs I am using are new and therefore blank. Also I'm not a computer whizz in the slightest so any explanations have to be fairly simple!

When I scanned photos with XP on my HP1200 printer/scanner in Preview I could enlarge the photos. With Vista can't seem do that. Am I missing something here? I can scan in Paint or in Windows Photo Gallery, but in neither can I enlarge the photo.
Do you know how do I attach more than one photo to my message in one go?
I can't seem to attach more than one photo at a time.
What should I do?
