When I download pictures from my digital camera, it stores them all in one folder. Is there a way that I could download them into folders that it created by picture-taken date?
View 6 RepliesAfter I edit my pictures, I can sometimes lose the "date Picture Taken" on. It does not show on the Details View. If I copy the file to a flash drive then look at it using Windows XP I can see it on a details view but not in Vista. I seem to lose the DATE more so if the file is greater than 2000KB

I used Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition and I thought I had a virus, so then I scanned the 254 cookies and yeah. I'm not sure if it was gone before or after that but my pictures are gone.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron 6400 Core 2 2.0G Duo Processor, 2 Gig of ram and a 256MB ATI Mobility X1400 video card. I am running Windows Vista. Whenever I play a Divx movie with WMP it skips. Sometimes the sound plays good but the picture becomes slows down. After about 30 sec? min, the picture takes off and catches up to the sound. I have tried other players and I get the same results. The only one that seems to work is VLC player. I talked to a fella in a computer shop today and he suggested more ram. Is 2 gig of ram not enough, or should I have more? I have another computer that is also an Inspiron 6400 with the exact same hardware but it has XP on it. It does not have any problems with it. Is this a vista problem or do I need to upgrade it already?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI use Vista Windows Mail. My cousin just got a new computer with Vista and uses Windows Mail. I have no problem receiving pictures from others and no problem with my emails that I send. When I receive emails from her it shows there is an attachment, but the picture comes thru as the box with a red X. There is no yellow line above it to click on. Right clicking the red X doesn't work. As long as her emails show there is an attachment, why aren't her pictures coming through?

View 4 Replies View Relatedi was using a tweak guide to help speed up my computer running Vista Ultimate 64bit. I must have unchecked a box that turns off the display of picture properties as you hover the pointer over the picture. I don't even remember what it is called anymore so it makes it hard to find out where i must have unchecked it at. If anyone knows where in my OS i could find this and get it back i would truly appreciate it. Didn't think i would miss it, but i do.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been having some trouble creating folder pictures for my albums and movies. on my old Xp it was a peace of cake doing this, but i can't seem to get it working in vista. I right click on the folder in wich i want the albumart to show, and i choose the picture, and apply the setting but the folder does not change. I don't know if it has something to do with my folder options. I have been searching the net for an answer but there seems to none.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy autoplay function is being change automatically and I can't figure out why. I have to load what ever ie.. jumpdrive, sd card, thumbdrive, cd/dvd and so on then the last program I used to do what ever with said media thats what opens. Instead of giving me the choice to pick what I want it to do. I have to go in manually and change everything to default and click save.
All is ok untill I use say copy a music cd and it starts all over again. Say this time I have a picture cd, I put it in and the copy cd opens up. I have to go in agian change it back and start agian. It just a pain in the butt. Is there a way to stop this from happening on a permanent basiss.
I cannot send a picture from another site, I don't know why. For example, I see apicture on another site and want to send it by e-mail to another person, so I right click and then click on send e_mail and no e-mail option comes up. I usd to do this all the time now I can't. Shouldn't a create-mail come up with the attacment of the picture and I then put in who I want to send it to?

Anyway, until the last few months, when opening the Pictures folder I was able to preview each picture/photo at a glance - using Windows Photo Gallery - without having to double-click on any one in particular, before being able to see the photo. Now unfortunately, for some unknown reason, I am only able to see the filename of each picture/photo with some sort of cover - Does anyone know which setting previews each picture/photo when viewed as Large Icons?

View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen i checked the windows help and support to find help for something, i noticed that all the "links" that refer to the help articles next to them have a little box with a red X inside them. (like this box that appears in a web browser when a picture cant be displayed). another problem is that i have deleted all the restore points before taking aware of this situation and i cant do a system restore to try to fix it. i have tried the offline help, deleting temporary files, but i cant find a way to fix this it still has the same problem. i use windows vista 32bit with sp1 and all the updates.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently uploaded pictures from my camera to my XPS M1530 (uses VISTA Home Premium). Anyway, I deleted the pictures and also deleted it from my trashcan. However, I noticed that if you go to "Start" => "Pictures" => "Recent Pictures & Videos"....it shows my recent pictures....even the ones I thought were permanently deleted! The problem is that it shows a "preview" of the picture....I tried right clicking and deleting it. But ofcourse, since I already deleted it, it shows up as "this is no longer located in [location]. How do I get rid of these images? Are there any more of my pictures stored somewhere else?
