How Copy One Picture From Slideshow?
Apr 4, 2008I have downloaded a slideshow from the web and want to copy one picture from the slideshow. How can I do this ? i am running Vista Home Premium.

Media Centre - Where Does It Get Slideshow From?
Jul 7, 2008When running media centre and listening to music there an option to run a slideshow. How can i control where it gets it's pictures from? I'm tired of looking at various buttons and banners from assorted software apps, visited websites etc and maps of europe from my tomtom backup. I tried changing the stetting in the Library option to no avail - even with no directories set to watch, it still pulls in picture files from random locations - is there any way of controlling where media centre gets it's pictures from. I have a single directory with all my photos - how can i get it just to use this directory?

Apr 4, 2008when I presented a slideshow using Windows, the slides would fade-out/fade-in during the transition from one silde to the next. Yesterday, I did a slideshow and there was no fade, just straight transitions from one to the other. Last week I did install SP 1 for my Vista Business os, but have run successful slideshows since then. What could have happened? I have not changed anything.

May 1, 2008My old Windows XP PC died months ago (motherboard problems) and so I took out the hard drive (which still functions fine) and put it in my new PC, but I can't seem to copy any of my files in the My Documents folder from the old drive to my newer larger drive. I've had this drive in here for the last several months and have had no problems writing other files to this 'older' drive (250 gig Maxtor 16mb cache, 7,200RPM drive (btw it's only a year old), but when I try to copy files to another drive I get the following error message: "You'll need to provide administrator permission to copy to this file." This only happens with files that are in the My Documents folder. My current login has administrator rights, so I'm thinking some how this has something to do with this drive being from a different computer's installation of XP.

May 27, 2008I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 Core 2 2.0G Duo Processor, 2 Gig of ram and a 256MB ATI Mobility X1400 video card. I am running Windows Vista. Whenever I play a Divx movie with WMP it skips. Sometimes the sound plays good but the picture becomes slows down. After about 30 sec? min, the picture takes off and catches up to the sound. I have tried other players and I get the same results. The only one that seems to work is VLC player. I talked to a fella in a computer shop today and he suggested more ram. Is 2 gig of ram not enough, or should I have more? I have another computer that is also an Inspiron 6400 with the exact same hardware but it has XP on it. It does not have any problems with it. Is this a vista problem or do I need to upgrade it already?

Jul 29, 2009I use Vista Windows Mail. My cousin just got a new computer with Vista and uses Windows Mail. I have no problem receiving pictures from others and no problem with my emails that I send. When I receive emails from her it shows there is an attachment, but the picture comes thru as the box with a red X. There is no yellow line above it to click on. Right clicking the red X doesn't work. As long as her emails show there is an attachment, why aren't her pictures coming through?

I must have unchecked a box that turns off the display of picture properties as you hover the pointer over the picture. I don't even remember what it is called anymore so it makes it hard to find out where i must have unchecked it at. Aug 10, 2008My autoplay function is being change automatically and I can't figure out why. I have to load what ever ie.. jumpdrive, sd card, thumbdrive, cd/dvd and so on then the last program I used to do what ever with said media thats what opens. Instead of giving me the choice to pick what I want it to do. I have to go in manually and change everything to default and click save.
All is ok untill I use say copy a music cd and it starts all over again. Say this time I have a picture cd, I put it in and the copy cd opens up. I have to go in agian change it back and start agian. It just a pain in the butt. Is there a way to stop this from happening on a permanent basiss.
Cannot Send A Picture From Another Site
Feb 6, 2009I cannot send a picture from another site, I don't know why. For example, I see apicture on another site and want to send it by e-mail to another person, so I right click and then click on send e_mail and no e-mail option comes up. I usd to do this all the time now I can't. Shouldn't a create-mail come up with the attacment of the picture and I then put in who I want to send it to?

Anyway, until the last few months, when opening the Pictures folder I was able to preview each picture/photo at a glance - using Windows Photo Gallery - without having to double-click on any one in particular, before being able to see the photo. Now unfortunately, for some unknown reason, I am only able to see the filename of each picture/photo with some sort of cover - Does anyone know which setting previews each picture/photo when viewed as Large Icons?
