Windows Email To Remember By User Name
Jan 21, 2010I want Windows email to remember by User Name, but not my Password. If I select "Remember my credentials", it remembers User Name and Password.

Download Only 1 Or 2 Email At A Time And Can Not Remember Changing Any Settings?
Jun 16, 2009i encounter for quite a while now is that when i download emails it only receive one or two at a time. So every time i need to click on the send and receive or wait untill it downloads on its own time. i tried several conections and can not remember changing any settings.

In Vista manager I have set the number of folders to 1000 and nothing!

But this isn't the problem the problem is that it have changed the default view.. It's Hebrew so everything is mirrored. I'v tried Brink's Tutorial in method 2 that helped me last time..

Jul 29, 2009Would be VERY useful if under the "show" drop down window, include "My threads" so user doesn't have to check email for updates. Yes, I could do a search for for my posts, but that requires additional steps for something that may result in no changes or if I just wanted to check quickly. If there are instructions someplace on how to do this, then another suggestion would be to put the Q&A in the FAQs. Its so hard to find info on many MS & related sites, that you have to prepare yourself that you won't find the answer on the first try and expect it to be a time sink, therefore unless its stopping you from completing an important task, some may not want to takes the time and keep getting frustrated until they are ready to take the time.

Dec 19, 2009Been using Home Premium 64 SP1 on HP Pavilion dv7-211 laptop for about 3 months. Still using 98SE on two desktops and XP on another laptop. I'm 75 and my memory has not improved with age, so I may not remember everything correctly. My best recollection is that I didn't have the problem until recently. Every time I totally shut down I lose my resolution setting. It always returns to the lowest resolution. I've looked through the other posts and didn't spot this kind of problem.

Mar 19, 2009It allows me to record any streaming sound, mic input, line input,etc. ( I converted cass tapes and Vinyl Records) I have created many MP3's from 10seconds to 8hrs. I tried to use it on my vista laptop and it just won't work. I have tried many recorders to MP3 but my built in mic picks up any sound in the room.

Can Remember Network Passwords
Mar 23, 2008Is there a way to make vista remember network passwords so I do not have to re-enter them everytime I re-start my computer. I have tried checking the remember password option but it does not do anything. I have also tried it with UAC on and off. I am runnig Vista Home Premium and I want to maintain a network connection to 2 computers. One is running windows server 2003 and the other is running windows 2000 server.Also is there a way to have a VPN connection re-start when a Vista computer is turned on?

May 6, 2008I know every one here has this default Vista (even XP) problem. The problem is that the folder customization / layout never stays the way you set it, even minutes later after closing/re-opening explorer.
This is driving me insane. For example, in explorer under Computer I choose large icons. Close, re-open its back to list view instead.
Sometimes other folders will somehow change views by themselves too.This is really annoying.
Someone suggested a fix months ago, but I do not remember how. Would appreciate tips on this. I *do* already have checked on "remember folder's view settings" enabled as well.

Access FTP Through Vista Explorer, But Couldn't Remember Password
May 21, 2008I was trying to access my FTP through vista explorer, but couldn't remember my password. I typed in the wrong password a few times and as a result I can no longer access any of my FTP locations. I have turned off Vista's firewall, turned off AVG, checked the router, made a new port 21 rule, and restarted my PC. I simply can't figure out what might have happened and I can't seen to find any solution.

In Windows Explorer my user XXX does not show up. User HP does, and it has all my documents. I don't want the path to all my stuff to go like "C:UsersHPDocuments" , I want it to be "C:UsersXXXDocuments". Mar 26, 2008[This is my second post on the same subject. The first thread died] I had this Vista Home Basic machine working okay, but the power went out and then another person who was high used the machine. They named a new user as administrator. I don't know what else they did.
Now I have a new user as administrator and the previous users are gone. I still see evidence of them in the file tree but the old programs are gone and the documents are buried in C > Users > Admin (that was a name of a previous user that I had named when I first got the machine) I've gradually installed some of my old programs and I'm currently
just rebuilding everything, but it would be a lot easier if I could revert to the old user system. The Control Panel > add or remove user accounts is useless. I only have two icons there So is there anyway to return to the original condition? How can I recover the missing users?
Impossible To Save A User In Windows Home
May 26, 2008I have the following environment: 2 PC with Windows Vista Business, 1 2003 Server and 1 Laptop with Windows Vista Home Premiun. In Windows Home Premiun I try to enter to any of the other and password asks me, I am given it and I tell him to keep the password. If I close the session or I put out it, again asks me the credentials.
In User Accounts I try to add a user and a new password and in type of alone document appears myself activated the second option. ..One credential of website or programs and not the first one that is the one that interests me. How do I be able access the other PC without me ask the user password and save that user correctly?.
Windows Disk Diagnostic User Resolver
Jul 29, 2009I ran Autoruns for Windows and under Task Scheduler it has Windows Disk Diagnostic User Resolver with a Red Circle with a White X inside of it. Image Path C:WindowsSystem32dfdwiz.exe
What concerns me most is that it is "Unticked" to autorun.
a. Should I have this item ticked to run?
b. If so what has caused it to become unticked and now apparently is not running?
c. What are the consequences of placing a tick back beside it to enable it to run?
In the past few days I had some erratic computer problems, but has now seemed to have settled down.
