Jul 5, 2008The sign in button does not appear on windows mail when I use the newsgroup. I could sign in awhile ago(as in months)

Can Not Sign In On Windows Mail
Apr 3, 2008I have set up my account exactly like I did on a different computer that has outlook 2003 on it, but whenever I try to sign in, I keep getting another sign in window after each attempt to sign in.

Mar 3, 2009We have outlook 2003 on several pc's and all attachments come through fine. We got 2 new pc's with this p.o.s. Vista home premium on them and they come with Windows Mail (formerly outlook). Well, hardly any attachments come through with Windows Mail, while outlook 2003 is working just fine. The help file on Windows mail says to go Tools, Options, Security, and to uncheck the boxes that keep attachments from opening. I have done this, and of course, it doesnt work. Messages continue to come through without any attachments on Windows Mail, while the the pc's with outlook are just fine. Most attachments in any kind of file format don't come through. We are particularly concerned with PDF files which we need more than anything else.

Mar 30, 2008Just having subscribed to microsoft newsgroups from within Windows Mail, I'm unable to sign in. Clicking on the Sign in button gets no response. When posting it asks me if I want to sign in and when I click on YES, nothing happens. I would rather access newsgroups inside IE7 but there I'm not able to reply at all. Is there a connection?

Mar 7, 2009I have been using Windows Mail for several months iwth no problems. I try to send mail, it asks for my user name and password for the accountl I type it in and try to send, but it pops back to the sign in. I have checked the options section and verified the user name and password. Nothing works and I cannot send mail!

Mar 8, 2010I am having an issue with the hd 4350 card. I read on another post that re-installing windows solved the problem however I have an on-board video unlike the said poster. Problem: Device manager only lists the on-board display adapter, not the 4350. Heres the funny thing, When I run my diag program (pasted below) the 4350 is actually listed. I did RMA the first one I received and was disappointed to see the replacement doing the same thing. Anyway the reason for this post is to find any other possible solutions before I go an re-install windows. Wiping my puter is really the last resort for me but at this point RMA is no longer the issue.

The only cure is to press and hold the on/off button until the system powers down. Windows says that I have the most current video driver. What else can I check before sending it back to HP? I have set so that her name -Pat- appears as the key player in the game but for no apparent reason sometimes she becomes 'User' and Pat is not shown on the screen. Mar 25, 2009Whenever I attempt to sign onto AOL through their software, the entire system crashes. Spyware and Antivirus scans came back negative. I tried using different versions of the AOL software but the crashing still occurred. I did a restore back to a time before the crashes started, did not work. Updated all my drivers, still no success. Everything else works just fine. I can connect to the Internet, surf with IE, download files, no problem.
I finally deleted my broadband connection, deleted the network/lan card using device manager. Restarted the computer, Vista recognizes the Lan card and automatically installs the drivers. I created a brand new connection in the Network center and tried to sign onto AOL; it finally works! Here's the kicker, though. I restart the computer just to make sure everything works and guess what? When I try to sign onto AOL, the computer crashes!
I did not make one single change between the time I successfully logged onto AOL till the time I restarted and it began crashing again. It certainly appears to be something wrong on the networking end of things, I just don't know what. It looks like the AOL software is accessing some network file/setting that then sets off the crash. Is it the card itself, the drivers, some Vista update that didn't install correctly. I am at my wits end. Short of a restore back to the factory install point, I don't know what to do.

Jun 21, 2008I have had a new vista desktop for about 6 weeks. It is hooked directly into a Linksys router which in turn hooked to my DSL modem. I also have a laptop on the network connected wirelessly. For the first few weeks, whenever I clicl on network I see three icons--one for the desktop, one for the laptop and one for the router. Acouple of weeks ago I noticed that now there is only an icon for the desktop and for the laptop. I have rebooted several times and then run the network utility but the router ceases to show up. The router works as both pc's have internet access and both pc's share files ok.

May 3, 2009I can't uninstall apps shown on Add/Remove programs nor can I update to SP2 for Office 2007. Same error code 2203. This has been going on for quite a while. Using Vista Ultimate. I'm willing to completely re-install Vista but have issues I think because I started out with XP with free upgrade to Vista Home. Then I purchased the upgrade to Vista Ultimate. So I don't have a new installation version of Vista to install as new. Same would apply to Office 2007: I only have the upgrade CD. How can I fix the uninstall/install/2203 problem? (The supposed fix for Windows Installer also fails with the same error code) Or alternatively, how can I do a complete new install of Vista Ultimate and Office 2007?
