Sep 19, 2009Does anyone know how to retrieve an email that was sent out before the other party can read it? I sent one out and need to get it before the other person reads it.

Auto Retrieve Email
Mar 23, 2008I am set to auto retrieve email every 10 minutes and to retrieve email
each time I start mail. It retrieves each time I start mail but never
auto retrieves email regardless of the time frequency that I have set.
I have tried turning off the retrieve when started and that does not
make the auto detect work either. This option worked when I initially
started mail but stopped working shortly there after.

Mar 23, 2008I have 2 user accounts on my pc, both running WinMail with identical options set on both. They are set to check for emails every 5 minutes and at startup. One works fine on both options. The other will not automatically retrieve emails every 5 minutes. It does retrieve when it is started or when manually receive emails is initiated. Every 5 minutes, I hear the tone that is set, but it will not retrieve the email.

Dec 12, 2008I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit, and yesterday, when I started my PC up, I was presented with a scaled down version of my desktop. Upon further investigation, I found out that I was at c:UsersTEMPdesktop. I attempted to put some files back on the desktop, and ran into other issues, so I did a Ctrl-Z to undo what I did. These files ended up in the recycle bin, with the c:UsersTEMPdesktop label, and any attempts to retrieve them result in an error message stating that this does not exist. I have gotten back to my original desktop, which is at c:UsersMedesktop by searching other internet sites about this disappearing desktop profile issue

Jun 19, 2009I'm trying RAID 0 for the first time and i'm having some problems. I set up my hard drives to the RAID0 option in the BIOS. chose my HDD, allocated space, striped, everything. when time came to install windows and it searched for the driver, i put the proper driver in a USB drive. it recognizes it, sees it, and when i click ok, it starts installation but then stops with the message "windows could not retrieve information about the disks on this computer".
i just don't get it. i downloaded the driver on the manufacturer's website. i made sure it was for the 64bit vista os. i even downloaded all the different country specific drivers and tried each one of them. i basically tried every driver, even the 32bit version just to make sure. still the same message. everything's new and working properly so i don't think it's a hardware issue. both hard drives are the exact same brand, type, & capacity. they are both recognized in the BIOS.

Feb 6, 2009This is the third time now my mail has had problems. I am at the moment attempting to get Microsoft help but that seems to be taking forever. 2 times previous to this I have logged into my Windows Mail and found that they have had to retrieve all my mail folders as they got "lost" somehow. Now I log in yesterday morning to check on some e-mails that I have saved in a folder titled "Job Searches" and all of the e-mails in there are there in title only but have no content. Another folder same thing basically except that every e-mail content is the same. I'm baffled.

Jun 15, 2009I keep getting these spam emails from random valid email addresses telling me I have X amount of dollars waiting for me in a online casino. Every time i delete and block the emails address i get another from another email address generated. Its obviously spyware, I have run AVG and spybot and it hasnt fixed the problem.
