When Manually Receive Emails Initiated: Not Retrieve The Email.

I have 2 user accounts on my pc, both running WinMail with identical options set on both. They are set to check for emails every 5 minutes and at startup. One works fine on both options. The other will not automatically retrieve emails every 5 minutes. It does retrieve when it is started or when manually receive emails is initiated. Every 5 minutes, I hear the tone that is set, but it will not retrieve the email.
When I open my windows mail it is only checking my first email, not the 2nd. When I go to webmail for the 2nd email address, the emails are there, but even if I leave them as unmarked, they don't appear in my windows mail. I do have the "include this account when receiving mail" checkbox ticked
Does anyone know how to retrieve an email that was sent out before the other party can read it? I sent one out and need to get it before the other person reads it.
I am set to auto retrieve email every 10 minutes and to retrieve email each time I start mail. It retrieves each time I start mail but never auto retrieves email regardless of the time frequency that I have set. I have tried turning off the retrieve when started and that does not make the auto detect work either. This option worked when I initially started mail but stopped working shortly there after.

every time I try to receive emails it gives me this error message. i have never entered a user name or password and all of a sudden I am being asked to enter one. I have tried every thing

My new emails are not coming into my inbox unless I exit out of Mail and then re-open Mail. If I hit Send/Receive, I get an error box with "Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks. Please review the list of errors below for more details. But there's nothing in the Errors box.

setting up windows mail on new hard drive and can't seem to figure out how to get it right. I am using a live.com email adress. I have already tried getting rid of antivirus stuff and fiddling around with security things. When i click send/receive mail it goes through and tells me i have no new emails which i know isn't true, i have 10 sitting online. Using windows mail I can send email but cannot receive email any more.Everything was ok like a week ago. But now i cant. When sending and receiving begins to download emails but then disconnects. This infuriating situation occurred exactly one month after receiving the new computer with Vista Home Premium already installed. My old computer is connected as a small network. When the problem initially occurred on 7th June it said "Receiving 1 of 8" but never did and after a while (1/2 to 1 hr?) I logged off and logged on again but to no avail. I thought maybe a big photo or something was coming in but nothing eventuated. I accessed my email via Optus Web Mail and saw that there was nothing there bigger than 493KB. I have telephoned Optus (Australia) 5 times but they insist it is a Windows Mail corruption problem. No one was able to tell me what this error message actually means. Another issue that may also be connected was when I downloaded a trial version of a home video editing programme. It cut the 30 day trial by about 8 days, finishing on June 1st. June the first I thought? Why June 1st? I asked on the forum but they could not explain why.

My computer just recently had a melt down and I just had to use my HP Recovery Disks & reinstall all my software including - Microsoft Office Home and Student . Now for some reason my Windows Mail Ver 6.0 has decided to no longer receive incoming emails.
