I have Canon BJC-2000 Injet printer. It always worked perfectly with Vistas. Now since I changed the ink cartridges, it won't work. I send the print job and in the print queue is says "error - printing" and that's it.

Just bought a new computer (Alienware M17 with 64 bit windows vista ultimate) and installed the drivers for my Dell 924 all in one via a Dell 3300 wireless printer adapter. The printer is working fine with my new computer - however after I installed the printer the following message pops up about every 15 minutes:
Printer communication system has stopped working and was closed. A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available. Sometimes an additional prompt appears to submit the problem to Microsoft =96 however Windows has yet to find a solution to the problem. The only printers I have installed on my system are my =93Dell Photo AIO Printer 924=94 and the default =93Microsoft XPS Document Writer.=94 I=92ve never seen this issue with any of the other computers that use this printer running 32 bit versions of vista.
I keep getting the following error when I try to print. Job Status Window Interface has stopped Working. I called Lexmark and they said it was a windows problem. Has anybody had this problem? Is there a fix for it?

I have a language program that I purchased and when I try to "Print" a group of lists or flash cards with this program, I am getting this message in a box that says "Microsoft Windows" in the upper left blue area with this message in the white boxed area. It goes on to Say "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the programand notify you if a solution is available. "But Windows is not notifying me of any solution. And I can't print and it then closes the program. I contacted company and they recommended I uninstall and reinstall the program which I did and the same issue continues to occur. I have Windows Vista Home Basic so I wonder if there is something in Windows Vista causing this and where can I find a fix.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Vista computer and an XP computer. Both are on a domain. I have an HP Laserjet 1018 printer attached and installed locally on the Vista computer. The printer is shared and is added to the XP computer. When printing from XP to the laserjet printer on Vista it acts like it goes..no errors but nothing comes out. However, if you restart the print spooler then the jobs start printing. The printer works fine when printing from the Vista machine but not when you try to print from other computers on the network. Anyone know how to resolve this without having to restart the print spooler all the time? Drivers have been reinstalled and that does not help.I also tried removing the printer. Re-adding it. Sharing it again and re-adding it to other hosts on the network....same issue.

All has been working well for a couple of months. A day or two ago the printer stopped printing from the Vista machine. I get no error messages. The print jobs just sit in the queue. I have hard coded an IP address for the printer, and it is still correct. I can connect to the printer's configuration page over the network using the IP address. I can still print to the printer from the notebook running XP--no problems. I can also print to a USB-connected printer on the Vista machine.

It stops printing after only finishing the top half of a sentence. I got it to work once. I'm also having an issue with my mouse and keyboard. The mouse will sometimes click a second time and the keyboard will get stuck on the last key for like 3 seconds.

I have a laptop (new HP) with Vista Home Premium SP1 preinstalled, 3 GB RAM,250GB HDD, AMD Turion 64 processor. Using Zone Alarm free as firewall and AVG 8 free as antivirus. Know that firewall is not issue since have full access to printers (can ping the network connected printers) and all other networked computers without problem. I understand that AVG has had a printing issue in the past but I totally turned off AVG by uninstalling itand this did not clear the issue with printing.
Out of the box I have connected the new laptop to the following printers using the latest drivers available from the manufacturers or using Vista's built in if the drivers aren't available from manufacturer's web site.
The following are connected through the home network via wireless and work flawlessly with 3 laptops running XP Pro (2) and XP Home (1).HP 2200DN - B & W Laser (network with Cat5e cable through WAP/Switch) OKIDATA 5150 - Color laser (network with Cat5e cable through WAP/Switch)Epson 1280 (connected through a Sony XP computer share) Epson R260 (also connected through the Sony XP computer)
The last printer is a Canon BJC80 which is connected via a USB to Parallel printer cable (Belkin) which works great with no delay on any of the laptops running XP.
I have a Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard as part of a desktop package. This was working fine until Vista Update installed something and it stopped working. I have tried to roll back and un-install with no joy. I have also tried to Re-install the drivers for this also with no joy as all I get is the following error "Error 1612".

I've been searching for an answer to this for a while, but haven't been getting very far. Scenario: Vista 32bit Home Premium SP1 PC, with a Konica Minolta 2500w Magicolor printer via USB. All printing works fine from the desktop. XP Laptop with SP3, all sitting together happily in a wireless network (workgroup called workgroup). File and printer sharing is turned on, and I can exchange files between laptop and desktop with no issues.
I can see and install the printer on the laptop, and I can print a test page (I had to turn bidirectional off to achieve this, or at least achieve this without restarting the print spooler every time). When I try to print from an application such as Word, I get an error to say that there was an error printing to the printer, check printer is installed properly, etc. If I try to print from notepad I get an error the handle is invalid. If I try to print from Wordpad, no errors, but no print job is created either. I can continue to print test pages from the laptop even after receiving this error. Within the Network and Sharing Centre, I can see the printer listed underneath my Vista desktop machine. If I connect the printer directly to the laptop via the USB cable, the laptop can print from any application I choose.
i keep betting this error "Bfvietnam.exe has stopped working" and i dont know how to fix it i tryed updating it running it as admin and running it in XP SP2 mode

Also, same thing with Internet Explorer...I'm getting real sick of Vista's shoddiness..
We just purchased two new Vista machines (1 laptop, 1 desktop) for our church office, both running 32 bit Home Premium. I am running an account with (as far as I know) complete admin access. We have a network printer which has its own IP address assigned by the router. All three pieces of hardware run through our WRT54G router. I have tried to install the network printer on both machines. With the laptop, Vista's "Add Printer" wizard found the printer and installed it without a hitch. The laptop can print perfectly fine.
However, the desktop is having several printing issues. First I attached an HP USB printer to it. Vista seemed to install the drivers just fine, but I didn't do a test print to make sure that it worked. A few days later I tried to add the network printer as I did with the laptop, but things started going bad! If I select the option of installing a local USB printer the wizard hangs and tells me its "not responding"............
I have a Canon multifunction machine hooked up to an XP computer. I can print to it with two other XP machines and a Windows 7 machine. But when I try to install the Canon Vista x64 driver on the Vista machine, it looks for a printer attached to the computer in order to complete the driver installation and it will NOT find the networked printer. So, the driver install stops. I have tried hooking the printer up to the Vista machine and the driver install completes. But, when I go back in and try to reattach the printer to the XP machine and find the drivers, the Vista machine won't find the damned drivers. Geez, Vista sucks. (But at least 7 is great)

The answer was DEP (Data Execution Protection)was shutting it down to protect my computer..What's the problem??? All run through a WiFi/Ethernet access point, some hardwired and some via WiFi. This internal network uses assigned tcp/ip addresses (static ip's). The network is stable and everything has worked nicely for years, until now.The Vista and XP machines can access each other via Windows Explorer, so the LAN network is intact and working.
The problem:
1) The Vista machine stopped communicating with the network printer. After several printer re-installs, the Vista control panel printer function printed successful test pages, but no application will print.The test and setup utilities for the network printer, which gets direct access to the printer via the network, identify and can configure the printer, even as the applications report errors, such as "unable to initialize printer" or show a blank, empty page when viewed in print preview.
2) I cannot ping the printer in DOS, nor can I navigate to/access the printer via the browser with the Vista machine. The XP machines can both ping and access this printer (it has function, status and setup pages). However, the Vista machine will ping the XP machines, and ping and access/open the access point, and even the dsl modem.I have turned off the firewall, but it makes no difference.Since everything "used to work," I am at a loss.
By now it should be obvious that, under the Vista operating system, I have Home Premium, there is a severe overall, general "has stopped working" problem.
Thus far I've experienced:

Is it not obvious by now that Vista has a problem, maybe a compatability problem, with everything from Internet Explorer and Microsoft Word to third party programs which cause programs, as I mentioned, even programs made by Microsoft, to "stop working"? Is there no an overall "stopped working" patch or something that Microsoft has released by now?...............
All of a sudden some of my programs stopped working, for example catalyst control center is supposed to start as soon as vista starts, but now it gives me an error like:
"CCC.exe has stopped working"
Same with some others...
Yes i ran AVG, i ran malware, and superantispyware, none of them finds anything.
I cant even load daemon tools now, it gives me some error: "Engine loading was failed", cant uninstall it, it gives me another error, and some of the programs like netlimiter if i start them from my objectdock dock they automaticly stop working, only when i start them from the normal .exe they dont crash.
i have Vista64 and Windows Mail. Yesterday i installed IE8 and all the office 2007 patches (don't know if relevant). Now i am having problems printing emails. I get a windows with a script error (i have a German windows, so i try to translate the error to english):

View 4 Replies View RelatedI receive the following errors when attempting to synch my iPods or iPhones with iTunes. After synching just a handful of songs, I get an "iTunes has stoppoed working error". It does not happen with my AppleTV however. Also, note that I can keep it from happening if I simply start the iTunes Diagnostics tool and leave it on the screen while it updates the iPod. I came across this workaround by chance but it is obviously annoying. Before you ask me the obvious, I have completely uninstalled iTunes, Quicktime and anything that I could find relevant to iTunes including the iTunes database, music, everything! Something persists however because I cannot get rid of the error.

I'm not sure if this is a Vista problem or not but I have brother MFC 240C Printer and sometimes when I start up my Laptop I have to pull out the USB cable for the printer for the Laptop to boot up, sometimes it boots up fine.
