Jan 16, 2010I have some stocks that I own on my favorite's page is there a way to print the favorites? Vista PC. To Lazy to copy them by hand. I keep the page updated fairly regularly.

Apr 21, 2009I have a Vista Business computer which, when I try to print using the auto-duplex unit on my HP Business Inkjet 1000 printer prints the second page upside down, whether I check the Flip Pages Up box or leave it unchecked. I do not have this problem on my Vista Home computer which uses the auto-duplex unit correctly. For some reason it looks as if the printer drivers on the two computers are different as the screens to set the properties are radically different. have posted some screen dumps from the two computers at to show the differences. Is there any way I can change the printer driver files, (or whatever files are causing the problem), on my Business computer to be the same as on my Home computer so that I can print all of my documents from the computer I use the most?

Feb 15, 2009When using Windows explorer, is there a way of entering it with the folders in favorite links closed and the right panel just showing the drives in your computers? It becomes a bit of a pain to close the folder and click on computer under favorite links.

May 23, 2008I'm super-new at this forum, but after searching around, I found posts from someone that had a very similar problem to mine, so I thought I'd try my luck too, and see if anyone knows how to fix this. My problem is that I accidentally deleted my -C:Users......Links- folder earlier, and then everything under "Favorite Links" in folder view disappeared. I found a way to re-create it by doing a -RUN>shell:links- command. This did the trick, but now, when I drag a folder onto the Favorite Links, the folder itself is moved into -C:Users......Links,- and not just a shortcut to the folder. When I drag a folder onto Favorite Links, I want a shortcut to that folder appear -- I don't want the whole folder to move into -C:Users......Links. I'm sorry if it's hard to understand this; my English isn't very good.If someone has any idea how to fix this problem (can it be done in the registry, perhaps?), I would be very happy if you could post here

Also how do I stop pages from auto loading. When I leave my pc on, when I get back to it I noticed other sites have automactically loaded. These ere sites my grandson went out to. I was asked if I wanted to prevent change to my home page and I answered yes because very often certain web sites try to make themselves your home page. Now I want to change my home page to comcast.net but every time I reboot it goes back to MSN as my home page. I went to tools/internet options and changed my home page to Comcast and clicked apply but whenever I start IE8 it reverts back to MSN for my home page. How can I make it keep comcast as my home page?

Also the PDF printer dialog box shows "Error - Printing" and the PDF printer refuses to print. PDF files can be saved from other programs with no problems. Aug 22, 2009I get this literally every time i surf the net for a while. basically IE gives that message and then kills the internet, firefox does not work either. there is nothing wrong with the TCP/IP as i can ping the sites no problem. only method of fix rite now is to restart, but that is unrealistic and just a work-around. Will Not Display Web Page Correctly, XP
Apr 28, 2008For years I have used a financial services website to monitor my investment portfolio (www.moneyextra.com ) For years with Windows XP/IE6 and later with XP/IE7 everything worked (and still works) perfectly. I now have another machine running Vista Home Premium SP1 with IE7 which will not work reliably with this website. When I view my portfolio, some of the web pages are often incomplete - but sometimes they are complete.
I have tried using the MS User Agent String Utility to emulate IE6 but this does not work predictably either. Sometimes when I use this utility the website is incomplete - but when I subsequently open a new browser it is OK. If I close and reopen the browser the fault usually reappears. The behavior is unpredictable......
Slows Down When Scroll On A Page
Apr 25, 2008Whenever I am playing some kind of music in the background, and I go to scroll up and down a page, the music gets muffled or degraded and slows down. This only happens when i Scroll on a page. Moving Graphics tend to slow down too when I scroll.
