User Profile Cannot Be Loaded ..
Nov 14, 2008I have recently been having many with my computer. Firstly, i was having problems with the SID where it says user profile cannot be loaded. After many hours i managed to fix this problem but i've recently got a new problem.
I Installed a new wireless network card into a pci slot and started the computer and it worked. As i hadn't had my computer working for a while i decided to update the video card driver and decided to check for updates for windows. I installed both the video card driver and windows updates and rebooted. But when the computer tried to start up all the fans started and the power light goes on but nothing happens.
I don't know whether the problem is with the new hardware, the driver update or the windows updates. The computer won't start at all and i have some important work on it.

Jun 30, 2008Ive been having problems with my laptop just recently, it was sudden! I had no problem whatsoever with it before, its an acer aspire 5630, ive never had major problems with it and its almost two years old! This is my first major problem, When i try to logon it says 'Profile cannot be loaded' Ive read everything possible on the internet from my desktop to try and find out what to do, most mentioned safe mode, this is another problem, my safe mode Does not work!
I can get into safe mode but as soon as i do it comes up with a black screen that says safe mode in every corner! Ive tried repairing my computer from one of the options listed with safe mode and it tells me it cant repair itself! this happened two days ago and i still have no idea on what to do, i use my laptop for school, it is very important that i get it fixed, im not sure if its something wrong with my laptop or windows, I have windows vista home premium.
Monitor ICC Profile Not Loaded
Feb 21, 2009Like many serious photographers my workflow is colour profiled so what I see on screen is printed, using separate ICC colour profiles for monitor and printer. I have done this for years. I now have a problem with Vista32 Ultimate SP1 where the monitor ICC file (correctly located in ...spool/color) and with the monitor color options showing my ICC and with "use my profile" checked -- it doesn't. The monitor profiling to generate the profile file runs fine and the result on monitor is great until I sleep/resume or reboot -- at that point my profile is briefly loaded and then "kicked out" as it reverts to native. I need to find a way to stop Vista doing this

Jan 15, 2008Two nights ago when i started my computer up and typed in my password instead of the screen just putting up 'Welcome', it changed to 'Preparing Your Desktop'. After this it took about 3 minutes for my desktop to load, which is almost double the amount of time. When the desktop finally opens, a bubble pops up telling me that my user profile was not correctly loaded, and a temporary one has been loaded in its place.
At first i thought it might have just become corrupt and i could start a new profile. But none of the changes stick to this temporary file or any new user name i create. Frustrating that i have to upload my itunes library everytime i want to listen to music. So i had a friend of mine try to help me, and he had me checking a file HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionProfileList
Under here i tried to ensure that the key name did not end in .bad (but it does end in .bak), The ref count was at 1 which i changed to 0, and the state count was already at 0. None of this did anything... and really i don't know enough about computers to really comprehend what he has me doing here.
User Profile Was Not Loaded Correctly, Service Failed The Logon
Sep 13, 2009Ive been having endless problems with my vista. Firstly, I had the error message "Your user profile was not loaded correctly! You have been logged on with a temporary profile." for a good month or so, I was in the middle of exams and didn't want to risk trying to fix it myself, I was advised the best option would be just to reinstall vista, but I wasn't sure the best way to go about that either. Now on my laptops first birthday, I stopped getting this error message, and started enjoying usual computing again, until I started getting this message instead.
"The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded."
If I complete a system restore a few times I can access my account again, but after a day or so I start getting the error message again. All my old files (from before the error messages started appearing) are under my old user folder which I can access in users. I renamed it at some point during the time of the first error message. I thought that because of this I could delete my main account, and make my secondary account an administrator instead. (not sure if thats the right way to go about things, as the first option the thread for this error provided was not working) and now I cannot access my control panel, or windows updates, to tamper with user accounts.
Add Picture On Contact Profile?

Jul 19, 2009My daughter purchased a Dell PC that has Vista 64 bit loaded. We didn't realize it was the 64 bit version until recently. Her problem is with IE. She has broadband access, but as soon as she drills down more than two levels, her browser slows right down. For some reason, it worked well and fast for about a month, but she recently rebooted her PC and it's s-l-o-w again. Has any else experienced this problem? Is there any way or reason to go to the 32 bit version of Vista?

Apr 13, 2008I've been trying to install Vista Home Premium (clean install from Upgrade media) on my primary desktop for over a week with major issues. Most appear to be driver related on an nVidia board using nForce drivers for the SATA control. I installed using the default drivers that Vista loaded and had to deal with multiple hangs during installation. Finally got it installed only to have it hang during Win Update and blue screen, then fail to boot. Recovery was unsuccessful and so another reinstall was done. Next blue screen ended up with a "Corrupt or missing" error on ci.dll and absolutely no ability to reboot to Windows.
Decided I'd had enough and went to reinstall XP. Now I have issues with the drives being accessible to either XP setup or Vista setup. Tried loading SATA drivers and nothing worked. No drives visible........

Jul 29, 2008wanting to add XP as an addl os using dual boot. I managed to get XP installed along with Vista home basic, but apparently messed up the boot sequence. I can can boot Vista, but not XP ...error window says file: tldr status: 0xc000000f the selected entry could not be loaded as the application is missing or corrupt
I used Vista Boot Pro 3.3 to set the booting. If I set VPR to install legacy booting, it will boot up with XP (no dual boot choice), but not Vista. If I select use legacy boot for selected drive E (XP), it says it is set, but a reboot brings me back to the error above. If I use VBR and set booting for Vista, only Vista boots. I have tried using the XP CD to do a repair install, but it asks for a password, which I never have set. When I hit enter, it keeps asking for password, then times out after the 3rd failed attempt. I only have the Vista backup CD (2 actually) from Dell, not an install Vista CD. My hd is a SATA, and I see that may be a problem by reading other threads here, but I have no floppy drive, only the cd/dvd. If I need another file which may be missing, can someone point me in the right direction ?

Dec 9, 2009"The resource loader cache doesn't have loaded MUI entry". I get this error every time I try to install or update just about anything. I had this same problem a while back and couldn't find any answers so I called DELL and paid for them to fix it because this is my business computer and I needed to install something right away. I just chalked it up to the price I have to pay for my LACK of computer skills. It worked fine for several months but now it's happening again and I don't want to pay for it again. I would like to try the quoted fix but I have no idea what "that user control THINGY" is or how to turn it off. BTW, my OS is Vista 32bit and I have McAfee Security Center installed.

Not having many games lying around, I decided to download steam and install Half Life 2. If you are reading this, and using a 64bit edition of windows, then my guess is you are having problems with Half Life 2. Apr 24, 2009Running under Vista Home Premium SP1. I just loaded Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 (which had been running previously under WinXP with 500MB RAM) into my new PC with 3GB RAM. It would not run and requested that I increase Windows Virtual RAM! Task Manager shows RAM with Total=2939MB, Cached=2080MB, and Free=20MB. My first guess is that the problem has to do with having an administrator and five standard users, four of whom are minimum-user kids and should be removed (along with the kids).
