Latest Version of Adobe Flash Player Released
Version: 10.1.53.64
Date Posted: June 10th 2010 Flash Player is still not supported for playback in a 64-bit browser yet. Remember to uncheck the Google Toolbar option if you do not want it installed to. See release notes. Adobe Flash Player Download Page
If you have problems installing the Adobe Flash Player, then you might use the uninstaller program to remove the old Adobe Flash Player version and try installing the new version again afterwards. How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control
If you use Firefox, then it uses a separate plug-in than Internet Explorer. You will need to select your OS, click Continue, and select "other browsers" to install the separate plug-in for Firefox from this link instead. You should check your Adobe Flash settings and click on the Delete all sites button at this link every so often.

I ask because when I go into Programs and Features, neither of these are there. I do have an Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX and an Adobe AIR (whatever that is). I also now have an Adobe Download Manager which came when I downloaded the subject two programs. NOTE: The Flash Player shows as a plugin on Firefox
ALSO: The site told me to uninstall the older versions of these two programs prior to installing the new, but I don't have an older version of either. This came about because I was having a problem with a game that worked until after I installed the latest NVIDIA driver. The game manufacturer told me to install both of these as a measure to correct the issue. It didn't correct it BTW. Other games still work fine.

A few sites are reporting that MS has released another beta of SP2 to the public. Unfortunately, all the links provided by those sites point to older versions. Does anyone have a link to the x86 version of the latest SP2 Beta? It would have to be higher than v.285.

Vista shows that those who run Microsoft are stuck in the Windows 9x mentality of endless upgrade cycles. They failed to grasp that during the adaption of XP, and as a result of the actually quite good quality of XP, computers became a part of everyday personal and business life. The arbitrary changes to the Mac platform have come home to roost: Adobe is not working on a 64 bit version of Photoshop for the Mac OS because of uncertainty about the platform. And Photoshop, if you are a moron about the realities of color management like most Mac users-is the only dubious excuse for the Mac platform to exist.
When Vista came out most people were satisfied with their XP software, boxes and peripherals. Users do not switch stable staples without good reason. Unless they are Mac users. There is no rational, in the sense that Economists define rational, reason for the vast majority of the XP installed base to switch to Vista. There are overarching reasons not to switch to Vista..........

Of all the programs I use in Vista, Adobe Acrobat Pro is the one that performs the worst. Frequently while editing a file the application window goes into the "twilight zone" with the entire appliction window becoming fuzzy and unresponsive sometimes for as long as 30 seconds. It does not completely hang, and eventually responds. This happens on at least 3 different machines. All have Quad Cores and with 4GB of memory and are otherwise very responsive machines. Is there an explantion for why Acrobat does this in Vista?

Fresh off a brand-spanking Vista SP1 install, an SP2 install, and an install of 64-bit Firefocks (Shiretoko 3.5 Beta 4), I am going to now try and install Shockwave and see if it works with my 64-bit Firefox and IE8 browsers. If the ordinary install routine doesn't make the Flash content show up on the test page then I'm going to try this suggested method from the Techarena Forums.
From the people at Adobe Labs: Quote: Originally Posted by Adobe Labs (click on this box to Hyperlink there) Release versions of Flash Player 10 for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux are now available from the Flash Player Download Center. I'm installing V 11.5.0.596 of Shockwave. I'll be using IE 64-bit to do it. And then I'll try jerry-rigging Flash and report back. I'll be installing V 10.0.22.87.

If I get the OEM version, I know that a restriction in the license means it cannot be transferred to another computer. I need to get clarification on the following:
1) What happens if my computer crashes and I am told I have to reformat the hard drive and re-install Windows? Am I forced to buy a new license?
2) What if I want to have a backup hard drive, or upgrade my existing hard drive to a bigger one? If it's the same computer and only the hard drive is upgraded or a second one added, does that mandate a new license?

I upgraded my pc and bought Windows Vista ultimate 64bit, and i would like to install Windows vista Business 64bit. How can i do it? I took ultimate because it was the only version i could find (in my area anyway) that had a 64bit version in the box. But i don't want the media center, the high definition, and all the multimedia stuff. All of these ultimate "extras" are of no use whatsover to me. So my question is basically can i install the Business version with my ultimate key ? (is it "downwards" compatible in a way ?). I don't understand why ultimate is the only one with 64bit in the box. It doesn't make sense to me. It would have been much more logical for the Business version to be the one with 64bit in the box.

I purchased a new PC in early 2007 that came with XP. A month or so later I received the Vista upgrade CD which I have never installed. I intend to buy Windows 7 when it becomes available and wish to minimize my system upgrade problems as much as possible. Based on my understanding I would have to do a complete harddrive erase to install Win 7 and then reinstall all my applications. If possible and practical I'd like to upgrade XP to Vista and then Vista to Windows 7. My question am I likely to have problems going from a current up to date version of XP to a 2+ year old version of Vista which would require many updates to bring up to the current level?.

Vista told me on Monday that my computer had new updates available. So, being the normal computer guy I am, I looked to see what they were. Mostly Security stuff for the system. So, I said sure lets update. Well, in the process, Vista turned off my system restore, and now takes about 10 min to come up after a reboot or shutdown. When I try to run or load programs, the system hangs up, and task manager has it at 100pct CPU use. Now I am going to do a total format and reinstall. My printer does not even work correctly now and it is only 3 months old. It ran great when I first got it. I think I am going to load up vista again and totally turn off the updates so it does not even temp me. OMGosh I don't want to but only thing I can do. TY Microsoft for wasting yet another weekend on redoing my computer.

I run a dual Monitor set-up and that has been fine with previous drivers. Since installing 180.48 yesterday, when I reboot or start-up, it all defaults to a single monitor and messes up my icons. Fault appears to be on the NVIDIA part of things, as it loses the tick in the second Monitor under the NVIDIA Control Panel "Set Up Multiple Displays". It doesn't lose the tick in "Do Not USe SLI Config".
