Themes - Is Any Website For Download Files To Change The Appearance?
Jun 29, 2005Windows XP allows you to customise the appearance of Windows XP and has I think 4 different appearances you can choose from in the display properties under windows XP style with Windows XP plus installed. Is there any website that lets you download files to change the appearance of Windows XP without installing an extra program such as Window Blinds? I ask because I'm not artistic enough to create my own.

Apr 23, 2006I can do all my normail activites, suddenly it will takes ages to load up pages. I can't dld anything. i do a GOBack and it works fine and then again the same problem after an hour or so. Aug 2, 2009When I downloaded the updated drivers for my hp scanner software, an icon appeared on my desktop and if I right click it to delete it my computer freezes. If I drag it to the recycle bin or any other folder it just duplicates it and it is still on the desktop. I can't find anywhere else where I could delete it from the registry for example or add/delete programs list. I can't rename it , to try to delete it, because of the freezing issue. I will never use it so It bothers me that its there.

So I went on windows messenger, and people who play the game says it was working. So now I know its only me. When I type in www.hyperiums.com it leads to the usual "this page can not be displayed" page. Anyone know how I can fix it?

It is a video site where I am able to see the videos I can choose from, but as soon as I try to log on, I get the error. I was using IE 8, but switched to 7 because I thought that was my problem. I tried deleting cookies but that didn't work either. Help!

Feb 1, 2006There is a website I use at work that is a State Government database. The site will start to load but it stops. On the left side would be a menu that would load normally that is Java. It does not load so the database is unavailable. The site tells you to disable pop up blockers which i have. I had norton on the computer a while back and the only way i could get into this website then was to disable Norton. This current problem started when I loaded the AOL Security. Even with AOL security and all firewalls disabled still can not access the site. So i removed AOL security and loaded AVG and Zone Alarm in its place. Still can not get into the site with those disabled.

Sep 21, 2007For the last couple of weeks I haven't been able to access www.bankofamerica.com. Seems all other website are fine. I know it is working because I can access it through my laptop that is connected through the same router and modem. Here is how my network is set up:
-I have DSL with a static IP (I've tried using from the 5 available and none work).
-For a router I use a Sonicwall TZ 170 that is assigned one of the static IP's from the 5 available.
-I use a Linksys WRt54G wireless router as a wireless access point with DHCP turned off (my desktop is connected straight to the Sonicwall).
The only glimmer of light that I have seen is Anonymizer (www.anonymizer.com). I downloaded the trial and when it is running I can access www.bankofamerica.com. When I check my IP at www.ipchicken.com it reports another IP other than my static IP which is what the Anonymizer does, but I don't understand why I would be able to access the site. My static IP can't have been blocked because I can access the BoA site using the laptop and the static IP.
Red X When Visit A Website
Aug 8, 2005I try to go to Roadrunner's speed test and all I get is Red Xs. My main PC gets the site correctly. This started when I upgraded to ZA Ver. 6, so I uninstalled V 6 and went abck to ver. 5. It appears that all settings in ZA are the same for both PCs but only one shows the site properly.?

However, tonight I am unable to do so on my desktop computer. I keep getting page not found. I also have a laptop and the site does show up there. My server is AOL and I have a Windows XP computer. My gut tells me when my desktop updated, perhaps my work site became blocked somehow by the firewall? I have no idea how to ublock it if that is the case.

When I get onto the Microsoft website and try to add updates manualy, the site checks out my PC system to see what os system im running (i presume), then I get 2 options, 1 to install custom updates and 1 for download priority. If I click on either I get a bar with moving green dots in telling me itschecking for latest updates on my computer. It does not stop! And when I press the Back link or close it just about freezes my whole pc, even Ctrl, Alt & delete does not work

Aug 13, 2007I have asked this question in several forum and no one has been able to figure this out. I can not access: www.onlinebandit.com. It is not a gambling site just a game site. All of my friends can get there plus people in the forums I've been to. If I can remember correctly these are some of the things I've tried. Its been a long journey.
1. I used to have McAfee. It has been deleted with the McAfee uninstall tool. I then d/l Kaspersky KIS7. I have done this process 4 times.
2. While both of these were deleted I tried to get to the site. Nothing. IE can't display the page.
3. I've contacted the site management they told me to use the site called the *cloak*. This site did allow me to d/l the client but when I was asked to run the application. IE7 said it had encountered a problem and had to close. No matter what I do I can't get to this site.
Microsoft Website Denied Using XP
Feb 15, 2008i regularly download windows updates(i have xp home edition with Dell demension 1100) when prompted in the past with no problems , this time i noticed the download stopped at 23% and the icon disappeared.Going directly to windows update i get "Internet explorer cannot display the webpage" in fact if i type anything with the words "microsoft" or try to download a site with the word "microsoft" it reads the above,so my question is , why has the computer been completely blocked out like this? I have restarted the computer several times but still no good.
