Aug 13, 2007I have asked this question in several forum and no one has been able to figure this out. I can not access: www.onlinebandit.com. It is not a gambling site just a game site. All of my friends can get there plus people in the forums I've been to. If I can remember correctly these are some of the things I've tried. Its been a long journey.
1. I used to have McAfee. It has been deleted with the McAfee uninstall tool. I then d/l Kaspersky KIS7. I have done this process 4 times.
2. While both of these were deleted I tried to get to the site. Nothing. IE can't display the page.
3. I've contacted the site management they told me to use the site called the *cloak*. This site did allow me to d/l the client but when I was asked to run the application. IE7 said it had encountered a problem and had to close. No matter what I do I can't get to this site.
Unable To Access Go To Desktop : System Wont Work After Virus?
Mar 16, 2007i got windows xp home and im unable to enter my desktop or login, when i start up i get to the windows xp home logo and the process bar, but after that everything turns black and stays that way forever.i can't enter safe mode, the computer simply dont let me, i tap the safe mode options key, f12 for me, not f8, but the screen never shows up, it's like it doesnt register the key is there, i can tap f8 to get the booting options and f1 for bios options, but not the safe mode.
this happened after i found a virus in winlogon.exe, the AV deleted it and that is when things got messed up, although i have done this before actually, but then i just repair installed windows and everything went back to normal, but when i try this now, it doesnt work, it installs windows all over again, the blue screen and the yellow progress bar, but when it's suppose to reboot and then continue the installation
Can't Access One Website
Sep 21, 2007For the last couple of weeks I haven't been able to access www.bankofamerica.com. Seems all other website are fine. I know it is working because I can access it through my laptop that is connected through the same router and modem. Here is how my network is set up:
-I have DSL with a static IP (I've tried using from the 5 available and none work).
-For a router I use a Sonicwall TZ 170 that is assigned one of the static IP's from the 5 available.
-I use a Linksys WRt54G wireless router as a wireless access point with DHCP turned off (my desktop is connected straight to the Sonicwall).
The only glimmer of light that I have seen is Anonymizer (www.anonymizer.com). I downloaded the trial and when it is running I can access www.bankofamerica.com. When I check my IP at www.ipchicken.com it reports another IP other than my static IP which is what the Anonymizer does, but I don't understand why I would be able to access the site. My static IP can't have been blocked because I can access the BoA site using the laptop and the static IP.

Nov 17, 2006okay at first this wasn't too anoying but now it is a major problem at first it was just that when i went to windows update it would get stuck in the thing where it says that it is checking for the latest updates.to try and solve this issue i did these things:i ran windows update for 3 days straight and didn't do anything on my computer (it was stuck in the screen i mentioned before)i reinstalled windows, but for some reason the problem carried over a friend of mine told me about windows defender and that it was free, so i installed it and behold it uses windows to update and im stuck with the bare bones of the program.

Aug 31, 2007My tower was going into perpetual restart after bios, so I copied stuff off, then reformatted and reinstalled Windows. Did all the drivers, anti-virus, internet, so forth. I had problems with validating Windows, but that's solved now. Now, it seems, after about ten or twenty minutes, IE will not work, and I'll have to restart, to do it all over again. I haven't tried installing Mozilla to see if it works too, but I do know that the Automatic updates won't work either. It just hangs and never does anything.

Aug 22, 2007Did a repair install, everything is working except windows updates, it says I have updates and I can click on custom and it shows them when I click to install them it acts like it will then a box comes up and say they all failed. I turned off auto updates and went to the site and click on custom and they came up but the same thing won't install did it with express install to and its the same,. Any one know what could be wring, one update it needs is the windows validation update I know the disk is valid it came with the machine and it retook the product number when I did the repair install.

We don't have one of those password reset disk that the Windows website says.
