I'm a Windows XP SP1 user and I used to have no problem using Bluetooth. I hadn't used it in a while, though, and when I tried to connect my phone to my laptop today, for some reason, I couldn't access My Bluetooth Places. When I tried to explore it, I got the error "path does not exist or is not a directory."

I have an issue with a Dell bluetooth mouse not connecting. The laptop is a Dell Vostro 1500 (brand new) running XP Pro SP2. The bluetooth keyboard is discovered and connects just fine.I go into the bluetooth configuration and "Find Bluetooth Devices", it shows the "Dell BT Mouse". If I right click and choose "Connect Device" it searches, finds it and shows a dialog box that says "Connection with "Dell BT Mouse" has been established successfully. To confirm that the correct mouse is being connected, please use it to click the button." But the bluetooth mouse doesn't respond. I cannot click on the "Click here" button.I replaced the batteries with fresh ones, tried updating the drivers, get a message "This device cannot start (Code 10). Tried deleting from Device Manager and restarting laptop and trying all of the above all over again.

After Service pack 2 was installed my bluetooth went mad(basicly)But i now got all the main features working with the Bluetooth.Before the installation of sp2 i had a mrouter that shared my internet connection with my phone via bluetooth.Now after that when i try to conect i get "error message 80042000"The router service could not be found on the device or bluetooth may be disabled"..Iv searched the net but no luck. Any tips at all would be great.The Bluetooth software is Widcomm.

On the website it says that the bluetooth stack is supported, however, when i try to use my PC suite software it says it cannot find a Bluetooth connection.
Every time I turn my printer on, I get the following message: USB device can run faster if you connect to a 2.0 USB port. As I have a lot of USB devices, I purchased a USB hub and have the printer going through it. Everything prints fine, should I swap my devices so the printer runs faster? I believe the problem might be with a corrupt file setupapi.log or Windows Image Aquisition. I have two such files and I do not know whether I am supposed to have two or not. Also, I am not sure if I can delete these files and where to get one to replace the two I have deleted.

This is for multiple reasons, one of them being that in Display Properties the Desktop tab has dissapeared. Nothing on the internet can change the fact. I have backed up all of my settings, just in case. Can you tell me three things?
(1). If everything stuffs up, and i use my backup to fix my computer, will i need all of my disks to reinstall my programs?

(3). If it is possible, HOW do i do it?

Couple of things came up: "Error TCP/IP adapter binding" and "TCP/IP not connected". Tech asked if I hit a keyboard key that shut it down. They referred me to Toshiba. Every time I try to click on a site I get an unable to connect message, if I go back and try again it usually goes through the third or fourth time clicking the link. This is happening with every site. I am running windows ME. I have tried disabling Norton, running ccleaner, all spyware utilities and nothing helps. I play lots of games online and so on. things were fine and then one day i recieved this error while trying to play 'halo' online. 'An error has occurred while trying to contact the gamespy master server'. after messing around with halo for a while i tried other games; doom3, quake3, counter strike and so on, but all with the same effect, i couldnt connect to a server. This was also the case when i tried to update Ad-aware, it freezes when i try to update. I went to the network adapters and unchecked Client Service for netware, NWLink NetBios and NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBios and made sure the DHCP was checked for TCP/IP. I rebooted the laptop and went and tried to connect to the network, still came up with unable to connect, check domain name, etc. Is there anything else I can do or do I have to reload Windows XP?

The "find a connection" Wizard seems to want to find a dial-up connection and nothing in the way of broadband. I use a Linksys Wireless G PCI Adapter card. The reinstallation did not wipe out any documents or user created files, so am wondering if there is a place in the old Windows files that I can use to get my old connection?
