I have my s-video cord connected to my laptop and the tv. Although, I am not able see my computer display on my tv. When I go under display settings, it does not give me an option for multiple monitors.

I also have it saved to a cd-r disc.What do i need to do so that I can play the movie (running it from the saved movie on the Ltop, or playing the CD in it on the Ltop) on a TV. I would think that all I need is some sort of cable;the ones that have red/white/yellow ends on them or something similiar.I want to show my family the mini tale i made on my 25" or 32" Sanyo tv, (and not my laptop)
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Lenovo Thinkpad T61, type 7659, model 2DM laptop. I am trying to use a self-made windows xp pro. disk to use the Repair function on my laptop. This is for multiple reasons, one of them being that in Display Properties the Desktop tab has dissapeared. Nothing on the internet can change the fact. I have backed up all of my settings, just in case. Can you tell me three things?
(1). If everything stuffs up, and i use my backup to fix my computer, will i need all of my disks to reinstall my programs?
(2). Is it possible to connect my pc's cd/dvd drive (PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-115D) to my laptop?
(3). If it is possible, HOW do i do it?
i bought a new lapto 3rd person worked great first two days now icannot conect to the internet .it says my connections are either unplugged or disconnected what do i do to get this stuff working right?

(Ick) I don't say that from a very valid standpoint, for I just find XP much lighter and easier to navigate. Like I'm running the computer, not the other way around. Well, I used the Vista installed partitioner to segregate a little chunk of my hard drive so that I could put XP onto the computer as well as Vista. While this was successful, I'm having a miserable time trying to find a driver for this video card. I've tried installing the Vista version, but it starts screaming that I'm retarded and that it's only for Vista (naturally). I know most of the drivers that were used in the Vista format work for XP as well.

It was working fine, and then suddenly got extremely slow, and the audio on start-up is broken up/stuttering. When playing videos the audio and video is also stuttering. Thought Norton Internet Security might be the problem, and uninstalled it, but problems continue. When computer is turned on, it is VERY slow to bring up Windows, and then extremely slow to connect to IE. So i did a clean install of windows xp. Now though, my video card isn't recognized. Under Adapter Type Properties, it's listed as VGA Save. The laptop has a Nvidia 8600M GS video card, and I cannot for the life of me find any drivers for the video card that work with XP. The drivers on Nvidia's website are not for laptops, and I have seen on other forums that there are driver issues with HP notebooks and XP.When I boot Windows XP, images load very slowly and my video card does not even show up in the device manager. In safe mode, spybot,i used ewiedo,smit,adware. i dont recall but i think spybot was the only program to find an item. When i rebooted in normal XP, i have been unable to connect IE6,Weatherbug,Widgets to my wireless connection. However Firefox is connecting pretty good,atlhough my wireless program is funny, its telling me there is no internet connection as i surf I tried 'internet options' such as resetting IE, i tried that scannow command. again, i dont have the system restore option to use. but also yahoo widgets are not connectiong nor weathebug.

I then shut my computer down to restart it, used it a few times (in 4-bit safe mode), then after I shutdown again, I cant log back in... it just freezes and the screen flashes, I cannot boot into my computer setup (default f2) or into safe mode (default f8), however I can run the XP cd and get into the recovery console, is there any way that I can change the boot sequence from the recovery console? The screen is dotted with a bunch of dots up and down the screen in columns, and is in 4-bit video mode.

I have managed to put video footage onto my PC from a video cassette (by plugging my VCR into the TV aerial socket). The video footage is saved on my PC as .mpg files & when I open them, they play fine on Windows Media Player.When I import them on to Windows Movie Maker, they are recognised as video footage and I am able to put them into the collections as video. However, for some reason, when I drag them onto the timeline, they go onto the audio line & I can't get them to go on the video line, so when I play it, the sound plays but there is no picture. I have tried saving them as .AVI files but that makes no difference
I have window XP SP2 installed on my laptop. I also use InterVideo WinDVD Creator for video editing. Recently when I try to import video file into my application, my laptop, processing percentage goes up to 98%, and the application just freezes up. I also tried the Microsoft movie maker software and I get the same result. I was wondering if I need to reinstall the application or there is something that my laptop is missing. The application was functioning fine until 2 days ago, and since then I haven't installed any other application.

Use fine, then after its been on for awhile it goes black again. Weird. I have the newest drivers and all the windows updates loaded. It just keeps going out. View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm setting up my friends home network. They have 2 PCs connected via ethernet and one laptop on wireless. The router is a wireless router / modem from 2wire. PC number 2 and the laptop both connect with no issues. PC number 1 is weird though. I can go to 192.168.1.254 and it opens up the router system page and I can go through and change and view settings. However when I try to go to any websites it immediately goes to "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage." I have tried netscape and the iTunes store and nothing can connect to the web. I have linux ubuntu on a Live CD and I can boot from that and it connects to the internet just fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy kid just disabled the video adapter on his XP Pro machine (Compaq, PII, on-board video) and now the initial Win XP screen comes up then goes dark once it gets mostly through the boot-up. It won't do any different in safe mode and even installing an AGP video card didn't get me around this. Short of reloading XP, is there a fix for this? Also tried reloading default BIOS settings just in case, no change.
