I am looking for a screensaver of a type like a moving banner across the display. A banner or flag that can have it texture or background customized from artwork that I choose or have made. If I am not clear, I need to have a picture or artwork I have stored or created on my pc move about the screen in screensaver mode. What should I be looking for?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that once the screen saver has been in use, on moving the mouse to resume Windows the screen goes black. Sometimes if the monitor automatically switches itself off the same effect is seen once the mouse is moved. At this point the LED status indicator flashes and activity on the hard disk but there can be 5 minutes or more before the display operates. Frequently the display will not operate and the only option is to restart the PC. The power management settings are for always on and the monitor is set for always on. There is no password requirement to resume from screen saver to Windows. I have checked the drivers for the monitor and they are current.

I'm not sure when they disappeared, but most likely when I had a virus. I've gotten rid of the virus, but the Screen Saver is gone.
I'm running Windows XP, of course. How can I get my tabs back?
I have a personal picture on my desktop as the background and the desktop icons all had clear background instead of a background color...then my daughter punched a whole bunch of keys and now the icon backgrounds are grey like my background color!! i forget how to set them back to clear, can anyone tell me how

Background images with bitmap icon will display in preview, but not those with what appears to be a film icon. Some of the regular Windows images, i.e. Azul, Windows XP, etc. have the film icon, and do not display in preview.

I was using wallpaper spinner which made my background change every minute. I have been using it for almost a year and never had any problems with it. Now when i go into properties to put a wallpaper up they are all grayed out and i only have the option of a color for my background. Anyone have ANY idea on why it cant display pictures and only colors? I have went into my pictures and right clicked and hit set as background and nothing happens i cant even use pictures that came on the computer for wallpaper and my wallpaper spinner was running and it wasn't even showing anything on the background.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a new computer with a 512 MB graphic card. My old computer had a 128 MB card but at the beginning, I only had 8 MB. I was using a screen saver with fish in an aquarium. With only my 8 MB card, the animation was really impressive. I tried my screen saver yesterday with my new 512 MB card and the picture was terrible. There were plenty of horizontal lines on the screen. What could explain this? Could it be that the program wasn't intented for this type of card? In those days, big cards like mine didn't exist. There might be a new update to this screen saver.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI got a huge hullabaloo and 'Malwarealarm' installed randomly ( I got it from a popup when Firefox told me the site was spywarefilled) and the computer was fine. I restart once, and I loose my background, my ability to select a background from the 'Desktop' tab under rightclick-properties on the desktop itself became null (just a black screen), and proceed to try a myriad of things. Installed the new DirectX driver, new ATI Videocard driver, DirectX9.0, rolled back to ATI Xtasy driver, then tried installing DirectX9.0 again. Run virusscan and spywarescans, got rid of a bunch of stupid cookies. When I login or logout of Windows, my old background appears for a second, then disappears once more.

Every picture I've saved from the Internet and every picture I've saved from my digital camera appears in the list of background pictures that can be chosen from the "Desktop" tab in Display Properties. MOST of these pictures would be inappropriate as desktop wallpaper so I'd rather not have them as choices in the list (menu). In addition, there are hundreds of them! I don't want to delete them from "My Pictures" however.

Regardless of whatever choice I make I always get a white background.Avast Anti-viruss scan found no viruses and 'Malwarebytes' found no malware. View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I open my Display Properties and move to the Desktop tab and choose Browse to choose a picture to set as my background, after I have selected Open and the box closes, the Apply button is unavailable and the image I chose does not appear in my list or in the preview. I've also taken notice that certain images that were once in the list of available backgrounds images, such as Ascent, Autumn and Azul no longer appear to be available. Right clicking on an image and choosing Set as desktop background does not work, and neither does choosing the same option from the Picture Tasks. Does anybody have any idea what has happened and how I can restore whatever settings I may have changed without applying a system restore?

We have one group in particular that has a user complaining that they are being logged off of remote desktop rather frequently. I checked their VM and the screen saver wasnt set to go off for over 2 hours and they are complaining that they are getting logged off after 30min. Is there a setting that can adjust how long before a remote desktop session will last before the person has to give the log in credentials again?
