IE7 Not Remembering The Password
Nov 4, 2006I am liking IE7 but when I log back on to forums like tech guys I have to log in it is not remembering the password .What can I do to get it to log on without doing this every time ,or is the tech guy website doing it for now?

Sep 22, 2004My computer starts up normally.It always just autologs on since I'm the only one using my windows xp computer. However, before anything can be displayed it immediatley logs off to the logon screen. I click my username and start the login process (i have no password and before even switching to my wallpaper or anything it says stuff like logging out and saving your settings.
I tried booting in safe mode too and the same infinite logon loop occured to, even with the default administrator account. The last thing I remember doing before this happened is I was playing City of Heroes when it crashed forcing me to restart my computer. This happens occasionally in certain programs but I've never had anything like this happen before. I tried unplugging my keyboard, mouse, usb devices, ethernet cable, no luck. Intel Pentium 4 1.7 ghz Geforce 5600 FX 256 mb windows xp home service pack 1, in case any of that matters
Logon Error - Command Length Incorrect - (NO ONE CAN LOGON)
Jul 15, 2005I've seen another post somewhere and someone else had this problem, but I haven't found a solution. We're using WXP Pro, SP2. After doing a repair install (the other person just had it after using Windows Update), at logon, after entering the correct, AND VALID, password either for a user Or the Administrator, Windows Logon displays the following Logon Message in a box: "!The system cannot log you on due to the following error: "The program issued a command but the command length is incorrect. "Please try again or consult your administrator."
No matter how many times logon is attempted, or with what account, the message continues to be issued. Thus, NO ONE can logon to the GUI. The Recovery Console can be used to logon as Administrator, but no password is requested even though there is one in place. I've searched the MSKB but didn't find any reference. Implementing "Last known good configuration" does not fix the problem.

Jun 7, 2005When i boot up the system hangs at the blue 'Windows xp' screen, the 'Windows is starting' is missing and it goes no further, the logon screen does not appear so i can't get in. I have recovery console on and i can get into the drive by booting in from another drive/operating system

Nov 15, 2005When yesterday I turned on the computer and did not have to enter any passwords. I finally realized I could use the wireless set up utility. I ran the wireless set up wizard from the control panel put my flash drive in the usb port, took my flash drive out of the desktop usb port hub, put it into my laptop, installed. i put the flash drive back into the USB port hub at the desk top and nothing happened - the mouse wouldn't move and no keyboard, so I hit restart.....

Sep 5, 2006I have a PC with Win XP SP2. There are 2 users on the PC, each admin users, each with no password. When you start the PC, it displays the Welcome screen, and you can click on either user's icon and Windows logs you in without asking for a password. So far so good. However, if you a)try and switch users, or b)logout and try to log in as either user, Windows now asks for a user password. But there is no password configured! You have to restart the PC every time you want to switch users.

Apr 29, 2005So I had XP Home and had one user "Quinn". I upgraded to XP Pro and for some reason, I was now prompted with a popup log in (similar to the one most people have and that I have at work) asking for a password for a user "Matthew". I don't recall setting up this user (my name) and had no password, but if I hit OK I was logged in with no problems.I looked into the User Accounts and saw that Quinn was still the administrator and that Matthew was a user. So I figured I'd keep it simple and got rid of Matthew since , well, I was Quinn and had no password for that account either.Now, when I boot up, I get a prompt for Matthew but by entering no password, I can't get in. The same happens when I try with Quinn.So after all of that here's where I'm at: I need to find a way to get into my computer and bypass the logins since I don't have passwords for wither account.

Although, he felt the need to "delete browser History" from IE7, all of it. With that, he deleted all my saved usernames and passwords, which I never can remember and that's why I save them. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me (different users).
In the dialog window for "Delete Browser History", is there a way to disable the "Delete Forms" and/or "Delete Passwords" buttons? I've seen a way to disable the "Delete History" button from that dialog box. (Pictured Below) I have tried using the same registry edits as the "Delete History" button tweak, but changing the relative info for forms and passwords, and it does not work. I'm running XP PRO - Updated as of this AM.
Won't Remember Logins And Passwords - Prompts To Save Every Time
Dec 14, 2004My PC won't remember usernames and passwords though it prompts me to save them after each time i login.
I have turned it off in Autocomplete and put it back on and no effect.
i did some changes in the control panel as advised by a website to boost game speed.
One of these was to go into the control panel and then admin tools and system and disable some of the automatic loaded programs.
I have also lost the windows xp theme and cannots ee how to restore it.The option is no longer present in the themes available.
Exporting E-Mail Accounts: Wont Remember Passwords?
Feb 24, 2006I have several e-mail accounts set up in Outlook on my desktop that I want to port over to a new laptop. It will save me the trouble of having to re-create them all over again on the laptop, plus I'm not sure I can remember all the passwords. On the MS website I've searched for "export email accounts" and several variations on that but have come up with nothing. The only thing I can find is how to import the accounts from Outlook Express into Outlook, which is not what I'm looking for.

Jul 29, 2005You guys are my last hope. This forum looks very active, so hopefully someone knowledgable will know how to fix my problem.I'm running Windows XP and very recently installed SP2. Here are some sys specs:P4 1.5ghz, gf2 64mb Pro video card.Suddenly about a day ago, different colored blocks would randomly appear on my screen (usually pink). I thought nothing of it, but it kept getting worse. I turned on my computer one day, and my LCD monitor kept flickering. I rebooted, then it loaded windows, then my monitor kept going to power save mode, then showed the screen, etc. I rebooted again, and my screen was stuck at the black loading screen that says "Win XP Pro" with the animation (except everything was weird colors and I could tell by the sounds and such that my computer loaded windows). Rebooted again, and my monitor said "refresh rate out of range". I set my refresh rate to 60, but nothing. Now, random pixels on my screen are red/pink/different colors at random times. When I move my mouse or a window around, random pixels change colors.
