I have just re-installed windows on my fujitsu amilo l6825 but dont have the driver disc, i am missing 3 drivers, if anyone can try and help me aquire them that would be great. Multimedia audio controller PCI modem Video controller (VGA Compatable).
View 2 RepliesI run a home network of several pc,s(6) of various makes/models plus i like to mess around with my mates pc,s(ouch) and im hoping someone(or more) can/will recommend a good program for identifying, downloading and installing the nessary and updated drivers needed to keep/get my pc,s running well, preferebly a free program but all suggestions will be considered and appreciated, and i forgot to mention that they all run on xp sp2. After doing some reading on this forum I downloaded EVEREST Home Addition. In Everest -> Multimedia-> Windows Audio is empty. In Everest->Multimedia->PCI/PnP Audio I have SIS 7012 Audio Device.Where from here?As a simple kinda guy I would appreciate full instructions.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA computer game she loaded it played it for awhile saved it closed it now it won't reload it shows the start up video and loads the features then goes back to the desk top no error message is shown it just shuts down i went to check my disk space and under drive c: it shows 5.69 gb used 3.71 gb available under drive d: it shows a color scheme for used and available disk space and according to that it's full So my question is do i need to buy more disk space, a new disk driver, an additional driver or how can i free up the disk space under drive d: i have already gotten rid of everything i can ran the disk clean up defragmented even went into hidden files and got rid of things in there nothing worked please help me.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt's a Compaq presario 700 laptop, XP SP2 home edition, 486mb ram AmD athalon and for some reason just recently the sound is not working right.If I'm playing a music file the sound that comes out is all broken up.This just started happening within the last week and I did uninstall (delete) the sound drivers and when I rebooted they re-installed, but I have the same problem.
This problem is kind of wierd I was having problems with my video card. When I went to boot up the screen would go black. New drivers would not fix the issue. So I bought the same videocard again, thinking that something was wrong with the old one. The new videocard still doesn't work, but in the process of trying to boot up it did something to the registry, so now if I try to boot up I see a blue screen which says there is a registry problem and it shuts the computer down. Getting frustrated I thought it was best to just reinstall XP - so I started the process, only when it got to which partition you tell it to use I got the same blue screen with a registry error. So now what? How can I reinstall XP I thought that when you were installing XP it was basically "running" off of the install disc, so how could the registry be effecting it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe tweak is simple.Beside the QoS and others around the Internet for the new XP Operating System,I found out that native drivers sometimes slow you down.So if you have applied all tweaks and you are still having slow downs try reinstalling your NICs drivers.I have reinstalled my NIC drivers with the latest found on their website, and now I can really appreciate all my available bandwidth.The difference is noticeable.My web pages now load almost instantly where they used to take even a minute.As allways, this tweak worked well for me, but may not work with everybody, just try.You can go back to native drivers anytime.

I am going to school tomororw and needed this off my computer. So I decided to wipe the hard drive clean with the Dell CDs that came with this purchase. I downloaded Windows XP and some of the drivers. Some of the drivers that i tried to download say they downloaded but then do not come up. Broadcom440x10/100 is saying the network cable is unplugged, I have no idea what that means and internet will not work. What can I do manually to make this work?

View 1 Replies View RelatedHi, yes, I did something really stupid! I was having major issues with laptop and as a last resort decided to reinstall Windows [should have been Vista]. However, I have two Dell Inspiron laptops and apparently used the wrong disc! I installed Windows XP. Now I have no internet as the Ethernet driver, and a few others, are showing errors. I looked in Device Manager etc and about 8 or 9 drivers were not installed. Oh, and the correct Windows disc is in US with my computer wiz son, and I'm over in UK! So . . . . is there anyway to install the missing drivers? Or even get Dell or Microsoft to help me get the correct version of Windows to reinstall?

View 14 Replies View RelatedWhile I was deployed my wife inserted an Mini SD card in to the card reader built into the computer. When she removed the card windows locked up, as soon as she reinserted the card windows worked fine. She removed the mini SD card from the adapter to use in her phone, and windows still worked fine, but as soon as she removed the Mini SD adapter from the card reader windows locked up and the windows would hang during start-up with out the adapter. Reinserting the adapter cured the freeze and hang, but windows ran very slow.I removed and reinstalled the card reader drivers and was able to remove the adapter, but windows still hangs on start-up with out the adapter placed in the slot.

A friends HP Media Center PC m7077c crashed. Had no recover disk, etc. Installed XP Pro SP2 and I need drivers (according to Device Manager). No sound is obvious but video controller is not. Video seems okay. Where do I find drivers for this machine. XP Pro, Home and MCE are different OS's ... as far as my experience. The drivers are not the same.

When i installed the graphics card drivers, i tried testing the graphics on a game (counter-strike) but as soon as i got into the game, the pc flashes a blue screen, and reboots. I cant see what the blue screen says because it flashes on and off again to quick for me to read it. I decided to uninstall the graphics card drivers, and the game worked perfectly, but the graphics were REALLY bad. So i thought i might need to update some other drivers, so i tried to install my wireless network card, but when i finished installing the drivers when i had to restart my computer, it flashed the BSOD.... AGAIN! I need help urgently as im going to a LAN gaming comp called "rezidue" and its on in 2 weeks, i need my pc fixed by then! All these problems started when i upgraded my CPU. Everything was running smooth, and i was happily playing along on my computer, when i was asked what my FPS was in counter-strike, and i was all "mine are 65!" and there like "wow that sucks, mines 130" so i set out on my epic quest to get better FPS then everyone else and MAN THAT WAS A MISTAKE. I upgraded from my celeron 2.8ghz cpu to a P4 3.0ghz HT cpu, and thats when things started messing up on me. My entire system is as follows (incase it can help someone help me) P4 3.0ghz HT CPU, Microstar P4 motherboard, 128mb Nvidia Geforce mx4000 AGP x8 graphics card, 256MB ddr ram (recently brought new 1GB ddr ram off ebay just for rezidue! should be here soon!) If I make a new partition and install MCE 2005, would I still be able to access XP Pro (like how you can change between operating systems on a Mac). I don't want to reformat and install MCE 2005 all by itself because I've had to reformat 3 times in the past year and I don't have the time to reinstall all my programs a 4th time. I just want to have 2 different OS on my system that I can change between...I'd use XP Pro 99% of the time, and then I'd reboot and switch to MCE 2005 when I needed Movie Maker and Media Center. I decided to get SP2 and ordered the CD after my auto update would show that on a list to be downloaded. After I received the SP2 CD, I checked for new updates by
