When I sign into MyCQU & then launch webmail I first get a message come up that says session timed out log in again, which is ridiculous given that I'm only just logging in then. If I click on the red cross to close that message down my webmail will actually show up BUT if I then want to say compose a message I then either get an error page comes up saying - ERROR. CD-RW and DVD-Rom stopped reading data on my CD's. They see the CD's but don't read the data, the CD's appear not to contain anything. I've posted the particular problem twice on this forum, but got no answer. For users experiencing the same or similar problems, I've now determined the cause... I've got a SAHARA USB 2.0 flash drive that came with a UFD-utility that enables one to configure the drive into a private and public area, enabling you to safeguard critical files. This utility causes this problem. Unfortunately I could thus far not find a solution, apart from uninstalling the utility and making do without this function. The flash drive works fine otherwise, not causing any problems. Only the UFD-utility does. I will see if I can find an update that resolves this problem and I will let SAHARA know about it.
I install windows xp, I was missing some drivers so i was able to get what i needed and my computer is running just fine but the wireless network connection is reading in Spanish. I've already gone to the regional settings and made sure it reads English, there is no other part of my computer that i have come across that reads in spanish except this section.
I can't install JAVA on my computer. I get error 1722 from java. I have followed everything on the page regarding how to get around this problem but with no success. The log says (in Swedish):tgrd: patchjre, plats: C:ProgramDelade filerJavaUpdateBase Imagesjre1.6.0.b105patch-jre1.6.0_03.b05patchjre.exe, kommando: -s "C:ProgramJavajre1.6.0_03" (tgrd=action, plats=place, Delade filer=shared files) I really need java! I have tried so many things now and I really hope someone out there can help me.
I have just received an old laptop from my sister, and had to put a new Hard drive in it as the old one had died. So all going good the Hard drive i could format, then start the installation of windows, until it then begins to state that there are files missing on the disc that it needs for installation. The disc is a legit copy of windows I have purchased and is in good condition with no scratches at all so there is no data missing. further more i installed windows 98 onto it and that was fine... The laptop is not so old as to it wont support XP as it is designed for xp and previously had xp on there.
I'm trying to reinstall Windows XP, I have an HP desktop and no CD so I'm using my i386 folder but I keep getting the error message, "error reading information from netmap.inf". I had a pervious error message about missing the wintupg/netupgrd.dll file and I found the file and created a folder put it in now I get this error message.
Windows XP Pro Problem began today.farlier today, the PC had booted to a disk reading error, using HDD #1, see below.I put in HDD #2 & life was good. When I had a chance to work on the problem [ disk reading error ] the BSOD & "bad_pool_data" error appeared.0x000000C2 [ 0x00000043, 0xDAE3E000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000 ]I have read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314492/EN-US/ .The solution described is "Greek to me".The same problem appeared on HDD #2, so I thought I had bad ram. I tested the ram; swapped it out AND ran diags.
We are looking for a faster way to transfer user data to a new pc or hdd. We currently use winzip with wildcards to search the hard drive for specified file extensions. Depending on the number of these files a user may have, it can take over an hour or longer. This is mainly because of their .pst files (some have more than one and are up to the 2gb limit), that are on there harddrive and the network team will not let the .pst's reside on a network drive. What we do is either slave the old drive to the new or we'll map to shard drive on a pc connected to the network, we will start winzip having it search with the wildcards and create the zip file in a data folder on the new pc or hdd.
i have a hard disk that has been recently affected by Win32/Mywife.E@mm virus and all the .doc and xls files have been reduced to 1kb irispective of their initial sizes and when you open the files you get this error; DATA Error [47 0F 94 93 F4 K5] I would like to recover the affected files to their original state, i have searched the internet over and no one seems to have the solution documented currently i am trying to download QuickView Plus (Version 8), i have tried all aplications i can come across, including recover my files, winhex, get data back for ntfs, and r-studio.
I keep getting an error 25099 unzipping core files failed when I try to install the latest java update. I can't find any java runtime on my pc. I am running xp sp3 on an e- machine t3504. I recently removed sun office and it apparently removed java as well.
This is a bit of a sprawling issue, so I hope I've hit the preferred forum. For the last 2-3 weeks I have had problems getting Windows XP to recognise both my MP3 interface and that of my digital camera. I could manually locate my digital camera, via My Computer - assigned as the F drive, but my MP3 was not recognised at all. Using advice from a forum, it was suggested that a System Restore might be the first place to look. I confess that I hadn't tried that because a previous attempt was rewarded with a message saying that Windows was not able to do that. At that point I turned it off in disgust. However, I guess that this action had purged the restore data held at that point, replenished the disk space available and got it working again, because it worked and both pieces of hardware were recognised again. So far, so good. Later that day I revisited the Secunia website for an on-line scan to check that all my major programs had been restored as current as possible with regard to security issues. Despite having gone there with no problems over the last 6 weeks or so, the scan could not take place owing to the site's inability to load the required Java applet (the site told me this). I imagined at that point that that this problem was down to my Java having been restored to an earlier version by System Restore and that some vital element to that had been junked by either Registry Mechanic or CCleaner during one of my registry clean-ups in between time. No problem, I thought, just un-install it then re-install Java from the Sun website. But no - Windows Installer came back with the message "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable". I am aware that there are a couple of elements to Java, but have regretably not got round to getting properly informed about their function within the Windows (XP Home, Service Pack 3 in my case). So far, I haven't missed whatever it does in its entire form, but I have noticed a few blank spaces in some websites and I cannot use UK websites to make purchases that require the "Verified by Visa" additional security layer. Any assistance with restoring Java fuctions to the usual would be much appreciated. I have visited the Sun website and tried a couple of downloads, but both were met with the same response by Windows Installer. I am also not really keen to go for a further System Restore as not only did my Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 complain bitterly with messages about corrupt files and vital security data being compromised, but I couldn't say at what restore point I would be resurrecting the problem at the root of it all.
I recently uninstalled an older version of Java because I updated to the new 1.4.2_06 version, I tried running a program that requires to have the newest java and it told me that I need to update to the newest one, so I knew there was a problem when I go to add/remove programs if I try to uninstall it I get the same error that I get when I try to reinstall it Windows Installer cannot be accessed I went through all the windows forums and know that my installer is running fine and that this is a java issue.
I am programming 2 links on a web page to pop up new browser windows. These windows contain pdf files. They need to use the same popup window, so I named the window. It works fine, but I am getting a "member not found" error in the main window where the links are. I do not get the error in Firefox, only in IE, which makes me suspect IE java security issues.
Well when i go to install this i get this error http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/1951/untitledan4.jpg Any idea how to fix it? This is really important as i cant install java and i really need it for school
while it looks like it has loaded fine, it appears that I am able to create some kind of error where another of the exact piece I'm moving is created. This new piece then replaces another piece, seemingly at random, rendering the puzzle unable to be completed since it is now missing a piece and with one duplicate piece. I've cleared the cache for all three browsers constantly, and set my javascript to not store any files on my computer so that it loads the puzzles every time, but it still gives me that error.
I've come to realise it might be an issue with my version of java, which is kind of hilarious seeing that the old versions seem to work fine, but the latest version won't. (Using build 1.6.0_20-b02) Uninstalled all my Java, installed a version that works on another computer (build 1.6.0_17-b04), with the same error
Computers a few years old its a Dell gx110 and it wont start , it will get past the initial loading screen but instead of going to my accounts page a message says that "a disk reading error has occurred" or "cannot find disk drive one" ive tried a few things but nothings worked
Today I wanted to install new version of Java Runtime Environment but I have Windows Installer error: http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/2...sinstaller.png Where is a problem ?

I just built a new computer, and am having trouble installing XP. It loads fine until igets to the fourth step, installation, and then it gives me a "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)" error. Apparently this can be a multitude of things: scratched disk (I took it out and tried cleaning it, like any cd is appears to have a few scratches I couldn't get out with a lint free cloth, but it's a brand new copy of XP SP2), bad hd, bad memory, etc. I don't have access to a burner at the moment to burn memtest or any hd testing software. Someone mentioned to me that XP can't install into HDs > 137gb in size so I was going to try and reformat my HD (Seagate Raptor 150gb 10k), but when I reboot, either from HD or CD, it boots back into a resume of the install where it promptly gives me the same error. How do you get back to the initial install setup, without it going straight into the resume of the old setup?
I recently replaced MSJVM with Sun Java. I want to ask if the Java Plug-in Control Panel 1.3.1_02 is supposed to be removed. In the Add/Remove programs
Data execution prevention error message appears every time I exit Windows Explorer. In addition, the window is not complete most of the time. The URL box is transparent and not accessible or visible. I have to attempt access several times before the window is complete visible.
Bought a Dell laptop with Windows XP for college last semester. She's had it for about six months now and earlier today upon startup it hung for a very long time (about 20 minutes). She rebooted it to the same results. I tried doing the only thing I knew how which was booting it in safe mode, which gave me a brief flash of a blue screen before restarting. I went to safe mode again so I could make out what the error message was before the computer restarted itself and I saw that it said KERNEL_INPAGE_DATA_ERROR. There's an error number at the bottom, but the screen flashes by so fast that I can't make it out. Anyway, it's been a few hours and startup is still hanging. I have tried booting it in the last good settings mode and nothing seems to work. I'm not very PC savvy (yes, I am a mac user :P) and my limited knowledge doesn't really help in this situation. I asked her if she had deleted any files which might cause a startup problem and she said that she hadn't. She uses the computer strictly for her iPod, printing papers, and burning the occasional CD. There are a few harmless games which have been downloaded for a long time now, but I don't think that she recently installed any software that could cause a kernel inpage data error, whatever that is. Her most recent piece of installed software is for her new phone, but even that was a week ago. When this problem started, the laptop wasn't very hot so I don't think that would be a problem either.
I have a toshiba laptop running windows xp. It crashed yesterday and now whenever it boots it give me the following error A disk read error occurred Press ctl alt del to restart.I managed to get to the selection of boot in safe mode, but it still won't boot and then I get I/O error reading boot sector. At this point I just want to get the data off it. Toshiba's recovery disk only has the option of formatting the disk and restoring the system to it's initial state (the Toshiba tech support explained that was a benefit, getting it back to the original state
Starting benq 500E scanner I encountered the following message: read image data failure 2882:1118. I know I've got the right driver installed, because it's the newest version and it always worked.
My company had our IT guy set up my laptop on the company network. He webex'd into my pc remotely and worked on it for over an hour. He created new user accounts, etc. I have since left the company and now when I attmept to log on at home (cable modem) the error says i cannot access certain files (outlook, etc.) because i do not have admin rights. Can anyone tell me how to over ride what he did to my laptop. I have windows XP prof. on my dell 8600 inspirion.
My problem is a result of a long series of attempts to fix a corrupt Windows registry file. A few days ago I booted my laptop and received a blue screen error: c0000218, relating to a corrupt Windows registry file. Windows could not load. After a lot of searching online I found a way to manually replace this and four other related files from the c:WindowsRepair folder using the command prompt.
This process seemed to work and Windows began to load. I then received a lsass.exe error saying something about invalid passwords. My laptop began an infinite cycle of restarting itself. I looked up the lsass.exe error and people seemed to think it was unrecoverable. As my hard drive was reasonably small (100g) and had been showing some signs of problems I decided to just buy a new one. I went out and purchased a new 320g 2.5" hard drive along with a 2.5" USB drive enclosure and another 1g stick of RAM......
