on xp, 2 login user accounds, 1st account has 3 imap e-mail accounts and OE remembers passwords.
2nd account, 2 pop3 e-mails neither send/receive unless i put in passwd EVERY time.
I can't see any changes between settings of OE between both XP login accounts
Outlook 2003 on windows xp asks every now and then(30 MINS or so)my password but does not remember it even if I check the remember me box, if not given it throughs me offline and I can not send or recieve untill I put myself manually online again and then it starts all over again.

I set up a new email account, and checked "Remember Password", but it doesn't remember.
I found a Microsoft article telling me that if my outlook 2000 installation is internet mail only (which apparently it is), I will need to change the registry value for "SMTP Prompt for Password" to 1. This didn't help.

I want the basic Windows XP system files and drivers on my "C" drive and then I want to accumulate data files (word processing, spreadsheets, photos, music files, etc.) on the new partition which in this case has been labeled the "G" drive. The difficulty I am having is getting getting the "Documents and Settings" to move over to the "G" drive. So that when I want to load photographs from my camera to the computer it goes for C:Documents and SettingsMy NameMy DocumentsMy Pictures. Instead I would like it to go to G:Documents and SettingsMy NameMy DocumentsMy Pictures. Using Windows Explorer I changed the file name of "My Documents" to 'Windows XP old path My Documents" and then I was going to set up a new path to the "G" drive through Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Managment>Disk Management.
However I noticed that when I clicked on Start in the bottom left hand corner and it puts up that little window that "My Documents" which was listed now had the new title 'Windows XP old path My Documents' which I believe means I haven't gotten to the proper place to change the main configuration for Documents and Settings. Long way of saying how do I change the basic configuration for where Document and Settings are stored to a new location.

I am running a program called Ceres (uses internet explorer) and even though I have told windows to remember my username and password, it still pops up everytime and ask for it. This wouldn't bother me too much, but other programs I use off a server which require a login also refuse to work. I have to go into that drive and type in the password before windows allows me to open it. I have reset the password option many times, but still no luck.

For example, I can set my folder to view Tiles or List or Details, but when I go back, it resets the view to what Windows chooses. Also, my quicklaunch bar won't remember the order of icons. After I change which icons I want where, it resets after a system restart.
So far, I have already tried deleting the BagsMRU key from the registry to reset the folder views. Also, I have already played around with the "remember folder settings" option in folder views. Am now able to access the Samba shares from my Windows Vista machine WITHOUT entering username/password for my Samba user because I made a Samba user equal to my Vista windows user "masterdam79".
I WAS able to select the "Remember my password" checkbox on my Vista machine, first time I logged on into the Ubuntu server and now I never have to type in the credentials again on that machine.
A friend of mine gave me an old Laptop Inspiron 7500. She can not remember her password or user name. We got it to safe mode but it still continues to ask for password/username when windows 2000 loads.
