Oct 7, 2009how do i uninstall these programs. I cannot get my printer or scanner to mail from those sites. i have a pd hotmail acct and also gmail and windstream acct. i use incredimail too. I went into tools and selected my incredimail acct for emails but for some reason they are going to the outlook programs and will not mail from there. i tried to set up new email accts from both but they will not mail.. I have tried to email from my excel program too and the same is happening.

Sep 8, 2005I'm trying to take a shortcut in Outlook Express using it's mail modification security feature to filter out spam emails. I would like to be able to copy and paste all of my "spam rules" from my computer onto the system of other family members using a USB storage device. This would end up saving considerable time by avoiding the input of over 150 words (this amount is always growing), one at a time, into each computers OE mail modification security feature. I've look in the WINOWS folder and can't find where the OE files are all kept, and specifically, the spam rules. I've been to the OE folder before but can't remember for the life of me what the address is.

Feb 25, 2007I have had a slightly annoying problem with Outlook Express which I use as my default mail client. Everything seems to work fine apart from when I try to open PDF files directly from OE, it tries to open them with notepad, which obviously doesn't work. I can save them anywhere else on my computer, my documents for example, and opening them from there works fine. I have the latest Adobe Reader. I can't find anyway to tell OE to open these attachments using Adobe Reader.

May 14, 2010I have an AT&T mail account and they recently paired with Yahoo on their homepage. My Outlook Express in Windows XP worked with my account fine for years until yesterday. I had to change the names of the servers to: pop.att.yahoo.com and smtp.att.yahoo.com. The port settings are the same 465 and 995. Also, my password is the same. The problem is when I try to receive or send mail, Outlook Express repeatedly asks me to enter my username and password for the servers. The password box is checked on the logon box that comes up repeatedly but not highlighted. What am I overlooking?

At first I had the POP3 and SMTP settings wrong and when I fixed them I didn't realize I had both the web based email and Outlook Express open at the same time. Now, whenever she tries to open Outlook Express, all it does is hangs open with "not responding" in the title bar. I can't even access the file menu. Is there any way to fix it short of removing Outlook Express and reinstalling it?
