Missing Sccbase.dll/slbcsp.dll Files For Hp Printer Install
Dec 9, 2007
System: XP Professional recently authenticated with MS GWA (cdrom enroute) was a ?pirated? copy
I have gone as far as I am comfortable with to locate and install the required .dll files. I authenticated the Windows XP. I downloaded 21 updates. I installed XPmedic, emailed them for support, and no response after 4 days. Below is the contents of the screen that stops the HP printer installation.
"Issues stopping installation:
slbcsp.dll (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftCryptographyDefaultsProviderSchlumberger)
This is a Cryptographic Service Provider manufactured by Microsoft.
sccbase.dll (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftCryptography|DefaultsProvider|Infineon)
This is a SICRYPT Base Smart Card CSP manufactured by Microsoft.
Im trying to install all in one printer on my laptop, but the installation won't start because it's missing three registry files. It's missing slbcsp.dll, sccbase.dll, and gpkcsp.dll. Anyone know where I can get them or get past this?
I can't install my printer because this file is missing or not right. I tried another solution, but my RunOnce file is not missing. Can anyone help? Windows XP OS trying to install a HP D4160 printer.
I'm trying to install my printer, usb, lexmark x75 all in one. When I try to install it I get a weird rpc server is unavailable error and it won't install it.
when i send a print job from a Windows XP computer, i do not see the printer icon that used to appear on the bottom right hand conner of the screen (where the time is displayed). What setting could have gone wrong?
I have a HP Officejet 710 All-in-one,when I try to install my printer it dose not install,I keep getting a message,C:WindowsSystem32AutoExec.NT.The system files not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows. Applications. What can I do to install this printer
I have Windows XP SP2 on my laptop. I have been using an Epson C66 printer with this laptop for about 2 years. I recently had a problem with the printer so I went through the troubleshooter process and was instructed to contact Epson. I did, and when I sent the error script that I receive, they told me to contact Microsoft. I have been searching the articles for patches, fixes, etc but am not having any luck. When I try to reinstall the printer (with the printer cd or manually), the installation appears to be going through and copying files and then I get a message that the installation can not finish. The error script says: "The I/O operation has been aborted due to a thread exit or an application request."
I am running widows XP with SP2 installed and have never had problems with the 2 printers I have installed. A Lexmark X2250 & HP photosmart 7760 untill we had to take the computer in to have Norton antivirus 2005 update installed. When we got it back I found that both my printers did not work & neather of them showed up in the control panal. When I tried to print I got a message reading "Windows can not connect printer. The printer spooler is not running". I contacted the company that put Norton in & they said they touch the printers. Can anyone help me on how to correct this problem or direct me to where I can get info. on the printer spooler so I can reinstall my printers? I am very new at working on the computer be would like to learn.
I'm trying to get my Canon IP8500 printer to work with my Samsung NC20 netbook which is running Windows XP.Usually I simply plug the printer into any Windows XP computer and it'll automatically install the necessary drivers. However, when I plug it into my netbook and instruct Windows XP to automatically search/find and install the drivers, it can't find any.So I've gone onto the Canon website and manually downloaded the drivers, but when I try to install them via the setup.exe it says that a newer driver is already installed, and aborts the setup. The weird thing is that there definitely isn't a driver already installed, because I've even gone into device manager and uninstalled the printer/driver before trying again.
I have a Windows XP Pro (Service Pack 2, if that matters) graphics specialty workstation on my Windows 2000 domain. I have the same problem that several other people have posted here, where I want anyone who logs into that computer to be able to use its locally-connected HP PhotoSmart 7900 color inkjet printer. But when XP is connected to a Windows domain, nobody who doesn't have administrator rights to the computer can install the printer; besides that, I really don't want to have to get involved every time somebody who's never used that computer before suddenly wants to print on it.
We've just purchased a new laptop and would like to be able to print from our Lexmark printer (attached to a desktop pc) that is in another room. All attempts to "add another printer" have been futile. I can't seem to locate a printer when I "browse" for one and have no idea what the URL is for our Lexmark.
My computer had been running fine, but I was using Mcafee and I hated it, so I uninstalled it. Without having any antivirus software to replace it with right away. So, about a week later (aka today), my dad was helping me install a new printer when everything went crazy. It was taking forever for my computer to boot up, and then after it was 'ready' it was incredibly slow. Then it would go to a blue screen with some text on it (I wish I had written down what it said, but I didn't-something about an infection detected) and we would shut it down manually. Finally, we were able to restore the computer to an earlier date. The printer is no longer installed, but I think I still have a virus.
I just installed avast, which during a reboot it did a scan where I had lots of infected files, and several options as to what to do with them. A few of them were temporary internet files, and not thinking, I hit delete. I realized this was a bad idea, and for the infected files after that, I selected "move to chest." I'm not sure where to go from here. A lot of them are c:system volume information\_restore... which might have something to do with why my speakers aren't working.
I run a system with win xp home and usb1 ports. I want to install a pci card with usb2 ports to use with my new printer. I would like to know what will happened with my usb1 ports after I installed usb2 ports. Will I have both type of ports available in the same time?
I have a printer installed but when i try to print it keeps saying if i want to install the printer. And when i click yes it says: Operation could not be completed And when i try to delete my printer it says: Printer cannot be removed. The Print Spooler service is not running. And then i click RUN i type in services.msc and enter. Down the services list i go to Print Spooler and double click it. It says "Service status: Stopped". Well then i click start and after bout 10 seconds it goes back to stopped again
I have been trying to install a HP PSC 1350 printer, but have encounter an error repeatedly. The installation runs smoothly until I am asked to insert the USB cable. When I do, the progress bar reaches 6/8 before I am notified that the 'RPC Server could not be reached'. I have check Services, and both the RPC services are on, but still nothing- what could it be?I am running Windows XP Home, with 171.2GB additional memory, 512MB RAM and and a 3Ghz Processor.
During my network troubleshooting, I was checking my NIC configuration on my desktop to make sure that file and print sharing was enabled and realized that there is nothing installed, no clients, services, or protocols. When I try to install I got an error message that the file could not be found. This is strange because I get access to the internet. Is this possible?Could this be the reason my laptop cannot access the desktop? How I fix this?
Brief synopsis:I recently did a new Windows XP install (after a crash). Now I cannot get my printer to install. The printer is a SHARED printer (HP Deskjet F380) on another machine on the network. The printer was previous installed on this machine before the crash and reinstall of WinXP.After nearly 2 hours on the phone w/ HP support, it's been determined (by HP support) that somewhere in the XP install, a missing XP driver is keeping this install from properly allowing any printers to be installed. The printer will 'appear' to be installed, but any attempt to print brings an error saying printer drivers aren't properly installed.
my computer is filled with all sorts of spyware and adware. Ive used all teh chekc programs etc. and deleted whatever i could but yet the pop ups continue to come. In add/remove programs i deleted everything i could but some things couldnt be deleted because the .dll files were missing or something along those lines. please review my hijack this and advise me further. I just purchased a used Dell Dimension 4700, it came without the OS installed or the resource cd with all the drivers. I installed the OS this afternoon, but in the device manager serveral yellow ? came up. The flags are listed for the ethernet controller, multimedia audio controller, PCI modem, SM Bus controller, unknown device, and the video controller (vga compatible).
In the printer and faxes window there are printer icons listed in addition to my default HP Printer. Whiy are they listed there and what do they do since you can't use them...or can you and if so, how? Two that are listed on my computer are:
I bought a new HP printer today. I had a hotfix installed at some point that shutdown and woke up my printer at shutdown and startup. The new printer isn't affected by this hotfix. Does anyone know where I can get this patch?
Two custom PCs with XP Pro at same SP level. PC1 sees printer through switch. PC2 can not see printer. PC2 connects and sees printer when I cable the USB DIRECTLY to the printer instead of going thru a switch. Therefore, I know PC2 can print. Have tried 2 different switches. An A/B data switch and Belkin's 4x1 USB Peripheral Switch F1U401. PC1 works with both switches but PC2 does not.
I am getting a code after trying to install a printer."the RPC server is unavailable"I had to delete this SPOOL.EXE file due to a virus How do I reinstall this file?
My system totally crashed. I reformatted the drive and reinstall XP. Well, everything seems to be going along just fine until I get to 70% finished with copying installation files and I get message after message saying that the files cannot be copied.
We've had to change our address space and therefore the printer address has changed. I've changed the address on all but one computer. On this particular computer when I try to edit the TCP/IP port I get the message:
"An error occurred during port configuration. Access is denied."
If I try to create a new port I can select that I want it to be a Standard TCP/IP Port and then it tells me:
"Specified port cannot be added. Access is denied."
I have connected 3 new PC's on a P2P network, and connected a HP 4610 Color Laser Printer via a JetDirect 175 print server. On one PC, I can only print from the Administrator account. The other 2 computers work fine. On the one that is having issues, when printing a test page I receive a "Failed to Print" error mesage, and looking in the printer jobs menu, it shows that there was an error printing. The Administrator account can print fine from this machine.
The user accounts are "restricted user" accounts on all 3 computers. All 3 computers are exactly the same type, and all have the latest updates.
