I just updated this machine to SP2 and have run SuperAntiSpyware (SAS) and CCleaner on it. There must be a conflict somewhere and I have no idea what files may be conflicting.

Pressing the power button again produces no result. If I switch off and then on the power supply again however, and then press the power button on the front again, the LED turns on for less than a second and then immediatly off, just like the first time.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a tool that I can use to go back to previuos versions of
files on my Windows PC. Basically I would like something like the "Time Machine"
that will be part of the next MacOS. All tools I have yet seen do not create
transparent versions the way I want them to. Either they require user interaction
(like most document management and source code management systems),or they run periodically (once an hour or so). I frequently find myself having screwed up or deleted or overwritten a file, a presentation or a letter, by accident and I want to go back to the original. I don't think I need the functionality to roll back the whole system to a particular point in time. Probably using "My Documents" or something below that would be sufficient. After it might be a question of the storage space at some point.
Can I copy the data of remote desktop to my Local machine.

Specifically, DST will start three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November). Thus, Microsoft is releasing an update to address changes that have or will take place in several countries. The update will be delivered automatically to Windows XP SP2 users starting December 12th (or can be downloaded now by clicking here) and will be included in Windows Vista.

View 14 Replies View RelatedSince the last 4-5 days my computer has been shutting down by itself. No warning nothing at all. Just Kaput.I mean windows doesn't show shut down message either. Also I feel it has something to do with my power settings( which are set down to never shut down/hibernate/standby), but I feel that if I leave it idle for some time.. that's when it goes.. if I keep working, it'll stay on.What's more, I think it started after an adobe flash player update( or maybe a windows update, both happened at the same time. Some kinda software distribution service 3.0).. System restore is not working either.I'm running Windows XP home on a compaq 2500 series laptop with P IV 2.4 Gigs processor, 512 mb RAM and 120 GB IDE HDD.

I had a bad virus on my computer and I wanted to boot it into safe mode. So I tried and everytime I tried it wouldn't work. I kept getting this message on a blue screen saying my video driver failed to initialize and it shut down automatically but it would boot up normal if I didn't try to go into safe mode.So I read that you could set your computer to automatically boot into safe mode from msconfig so I went in and set it to boot into safe mode automatically every time I powered up. So I turned off my computer and tried to.No matter what I do, no matter what option I select the blue screen with the error about my video driver comes up and it shuts down automatically.
