I have a windows XP.could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.Many times, and very quickly, my internet browser will shut down with almost the exact same error message.The "bbzvcelz" part always changes even if it is the same file. This problem has not lasted very long, my computer is 4-5 years old, and I have run Norton antivirus many times to eradicate the problem.

for some reason every time I start up my computer I get a Bad Image message saying that the file mshtml.dll is not a valid image. Because of this I can't use the internet! I take it out of the folder and put it back in and my internet starts to work. Now when I go to Internet Explorer I go to the browser and when I type in a site it just crashes and says IE has encountered a problem it has to shutdown. Luckly I have AOL also! but when I try to download with either browsers, it just shows a bar in the left corner loading as it does when you go to any other site and then it just stops and goes away.

Every time I log on, it asks me to download flash 6, I go to macromedia's site, download it, and it tell me it's been successful but, when I go back to the home page, it asks me to download it again. It's also stopping me from viewing java videos. I've downloaded the latest version of flash, java, ran an A/V and spyware scan nothing showing. Checked security settings, reset to default setting still nothing.

This happened a few times and a simple turn off/on solved the problem. Now I cannot get it to reboot at all. I am running a IBM NetVista with XP and Norton. Both XP and Norton have auto update so they should be have all current updates.

View 10 Replies View RelatedInternet access through my browsers and online games seems to shut off for no apparent reason.It just started doing this a couple days ago.If I wait long enough, it'll sometimes come back again.If I reboot, it's back online again.Strangely, bittorrent seems to keep working without any problems.I can also ping websites by name.I'm having a really hard time troubleshooting my problem.I'm really not sure where to start looking.I've tried turning on and off the antivirus and firewalls. I've run virus and spyware scans. I tried using a different network card. It doesn't seem to be the router since the other computers in my house work fine.My computer dual boots with Vista and I don't seem to have a problem in Vista.It just happened again immediately after I posted this message in IE7.I could no longer connect to any websites.I closed the IE7 window and booted up Firefox, which worked fine.When I opened IE7 again, it was working again as well.All of this happened within 1 minute.Another example of strange behavior. Right now, Firefox is giving me 'Unable to connect' when I try to browse. But it's also in the middle of downloading a huge file without any problems.Bittorrent is working fine.

I can tell it actually shuts down because windows doesn't try and run a chkdsk when I start it back up. Anyway I made sure to check my power settings and everything is set to Never shutdown or hibernate. It is also not hooked to the internet or a network. Just left it on doing nothing for about an hour and a half, came back and it was off. It actually only accesses the internet when I run Windows Updates.

For non-AOl Internet requests (simple example, when I install a program and try to register it - or even for when Media player 11 tries to go to the internet to get album info when I play CDs), how can I route my requests through AOL? Even with AOL sined on and the web working in the browser pane of AOL Openride, I can't get IE to work beyond the Sonicwall firewall though the AOL browser does (except, for instance, requets to view My eBay, for instance). I have Pc-Cillin security and Windows XP Media Center on a Dell Inspiron 1501 with AMD x2 CPU, 1GB RAM, 80Gb HDD, etc.I'm guessing the answer lies in RRAS or a third-party product. I can handle technical answers though the les outside references the better (time is hard to come by for everyone :)) Happy New Year to all!

When I sign onto the internet via NetZero, their start page opens up sometimes, but usually it doesn't. If it does open, it takes a long time to load and I really can't do anything on that page anyway. I've been having this problem for about 2 weeks now, so over this time I've tried doing restore operation, using several different dates, but nothing has helped. I thought about reinstalling IE6, but that looks to be a problem since IE7 beta is the latest thing, plus I don't know if I might mess up something within XP anyway.

Then it asks me if I want to give IE permission to change these settings. Of course not (I think?). And the problem is still there. Both IE and Firefox had slow connectivity yet I had him do a speedtest with speakeasy.net and it showed good speeds. He says the longer the computer is on, the slower is a surfing the internet. CPU usage is normal.

Could the recovery have messed with his computer networking drivers? He used a gateway recovery disk. His computer is either a gateway or dell computer.

I had Internet Explorer 7, and for about a month I would get a "Error: Operation Aborted" every now and then and I would have to open a new window, so Friday morning I downloaded Internet Explorer 8 Beta to see if it would remove the problem. It didn't, so I tried Firefox, but I found both IE 8 and Firefox to be annoying, so I decided to remove them both and go back to IE 7, but this caused a whole different problem. I think that I might have done something wrong while removing the programs because now IE doesn't work at all. Now whenever I click on IE, the IE screen will flash for about a second and then disappear.
