View 4 RepliesYou know when you plug your camera into your computer it brings up the picture transfer wizard. well my computer no longer does that and its kind of annoying. anyone know how to reactivate autoplay i guess? ive tried different usb ports and i even uninstalled usb root hubs and rebooted and let them reinstall themselves.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem which many others seem to share, which is that the Scanner and Camera Wizard has suddenly ceased to appear automatically when downloading from a camera. Until a few days ago, I could plug my Olympus into my computer with a USB lead, and a box would crop up offering several courses of action. I would choose the one which permitted downloading the camera files to a folder. Next the Scanner and Camera Wizard would pop up, and after a few clicks, the camera files would be downloaded to my hard
drive, and any unwanted shots would be deleted. I mention all this because some people appear to think that the Scanner and Camera Install Wizard is the same thing, but it isn't.Various cures have been put forward, like uninstalling Real Player 10, finding wiaacmgr.exe and renaming it to Scanner and Camera Wizard, and reinstalling the camera. I have tried these without success, and the wiaacmgr file is not present on either of my XP computers (one Pro, the other Home). I have also downloaded Autofix.exe, which found nothing wrong, and tried to persuade Autoplay to do the business.
Just got my first digital camera and all was good until I tried to download pictures to my pc. The microsoft scanner and camera wizard would not pop up when I attached my camera all settings and plugs checked). I found out this may be due to SP2 or Real Time, which I do not have. Has anyone else had this problem and what is the best and quickest fix.

I couldn't find the software download site for the updated driver but I saw sites that had copies of the one from the disc(which didn't work).Could someone give me the link to download the driver and other software to install it.If I only download the driver wouldn't I have to use the disc also to install the other functions like storing the videos and pics.If so wouldn't that put the older driver back on and it might install an old version of realplayer also.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use an Acer Veriton 7200D using Windows XP Professional SP1, bought a Labtec USB Webcam and installed it, it works and I thought everything was fine until I noticed all the icons on the sys tray have disappeared, the only one left was the Labtec camera icon.Second thing I noticed was when I want to see MY COMPUTER, it shows up nothing, the only thing showing was a torch saying "searching", so I deinstalled the whole thing and get system retore to get my icon and MY COMPUTER back.I then installed the camera on my daughter's machine which uses WIndows XP home and it was all right.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst of all, I'd like to address the fact that this thread is on the wrong board, but I'll be honest and say I picked it because so many people are viewing, and I really need some help. I don't exactly know where to put this thread, so if a mod feels the need to move this, go ahead. I am using Windows XP, though.Anyway, my friend let me have his old headset a few months ago, and it, basically, isn't working very well. For some reason, some days it works decently, and others not at all. I've found out that for the times it does work, I need to have the mic right up to my lips, and even then my friends have a hard time hearing me. My headset is always turned on, and I have the sensitivity all the way up. It's one of those headsets where two jacks come out the end, one a headphone and another a microphone jack. They are both firmly stuck into my motherboard.

I did the check in the audio controls in the control panel, it didnt detect my voice either!I don't know what to do, I even bought a new headset and it still doesnt work, can anyone help me out? I even tried to do detect hardware (even though it should be plug and play, right?) but it wasn't found, help?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've spent several hour perusing google searches, but haven't found anything high enough quality to suit my needs. I have an Xbox 360 set up to run on my monitor, and until recently had the audio run through my line-in connection and output through my headset with 3.5mm jacks. Then I bought a usb headset, and can no longer find a good way to pass the line-in audio through to the usb sound card built into the headset.I tried using Audacity to playback audio as it recorded, and it works, but the sound quality is terrible, and I really would like a better solution than that.Other things I've tried is using a winamp plugin (I couldn't even get that to start working) and opening my computer's basic sound card's input as a capture device in VLC media player (couldn't get it to work either). Can anyone provide a better way get the Xbox audio to the usb headset? an increase in sound quality to audacity would be ok, I may just need to learn to set it up better.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I first got the computer, when I plugged in a digital camera, I got a "found new hardware" pop-up, thereafter when plugging in the USB cable, the XP camera wizard popped up and the pictures were downloaded without a fuss. At some point it stopped working, and I've ended up using Picassa to get the images d'ld, but it won't let me add photos to an existing folder. I want the Windows wizard to work again, that was better. My new camera is not recognized at all, and if anything pops up, it's Explorer. I tried to install drivers from the disc that came with the camera, but keep getting a message that says I don't need to. I've tried to manually add the camera with the "add hardware" function, but it won't work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLast year I purchased a new digital Sony video recorder (TRV245E) and together with a quite new PC (operated by OS Windows XP Pro) and the software which came together with the Sony video on an installation CD the recorder works properly together with the PC. This year at first I explored this Sony's interface programe more deeply and there I've got the problem:The software program is: ImageMixer ver 1.5 for Sony made by Pixela.Connection cable between camera and my PC: USB cable.I know that the USB port on my computer is version 2.0.The software creates .mpg or .avi files. Hence I should use ordinary CD-R, not DVD. Problem: The ImageMixer interface program never delivers any sound, neither to the new created file nor when only exploring the video tape on my PC.
