View 4 RepliesIve got some burning software by the name of MySonicDVD on the PC but when trying to load it up comes up DMA disabled, well ive done everything to enable it no joy so thought ive got Nero 5 somewhere, dug that out installed it and tried to use that, but it first came up couldnt be used as not correct bundle package (or something similiar), then manage to get sort of somewhere but it didnt like the fact it was an .avi.Now nearly 7 hours to burn a dvd hmmmm, ive not got much of a life but a little bit of one to not waste 7 hours a time.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just recently ran in to a problem with the CD wizardof Windows XP.When I try to burn data on to a CD it keeps telling me to insert a disk into the drive, even though there is a disk in the machine.I have used other programs such as Musicmatch and HP's program called Recordnow and all work just fine.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI know it's maybe the wrong NG, but could you help or direct me to the right one.This morning I tried to burn data to a DVD......only burnt the intro then stopped with a error.Tried again ... same thing...Virus checked, spyware checked, all OK Did a sfc scannow, did a system restore to 2 days ago.Tried again, same results.Un-installed Nero and removed all traces from registry.Reloaded Nero.Tried again, same results.
I can burn to DVD-RW and CD-RW and CD-R but not DVD+ or DVD-I am adding the error message, I know its long but in other posts it has been said that not enough info is given.Nothing unusual happened at shutdown last night or bootup this morning.Problems seem to start at 8:48:15 AM #21 I don't know how to interpret this data
I had a bad HDD failure which corrupted part of my WinXP OS with the result that I am unable to boot into Windows. I have reloaded Windows on another HDD and I will be able to recover most of my data from backups. However, there is still some recent data on the bad disk which I am frantic to recover. I am able to find the "Documents and Settings" folder where I believe the "Outlook Express" data is held
I am unable to get into the folder as my username on the computer was passworded (the password is known). Neither am I allowed to copy the folder to my new drive. I cannot access the folder from my new OS even when I password myself with the same username / password. I have attempted to repair the bad drive's copy of Windows but that wasn't successful. I don't want to replace the bad copy with a fresh as this would reformat the drive taking with it the folder I want (and can't copy). Any work on the folder would need to be on the bad drive, it seems. I have run out of ideas.
Can I install XP on a hard drive which has only one partition with data without destroying the data?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I drag files to my CD burner and try to burn them by right clicking the driver and choosing Write These Files To CD the wizard always says there is no disc in the drive. I have no problem burning with Nero 6 or other burning programs that I use. The IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service is running. The computer is a Dell Inspiron 9300 running XP Pro SP2 with a NEC DVD +-RW ND6500A drive.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI first notice that an image burned onto my LCD screen a while back and I thought it went away oh by the way the game i was playing was persona 4 and that dam yellow screen i left on there for about an hr burned an image onto my lcd and I saw it in other windows like JTV when i watched someone play a game i would notice that image on there and now when I play Infumous on my ps3 there is another burn in that i can REALY see and it's annoying as hell lol.
it's green and resembles the JTV screen shot that I watch alot I need help figuring out what the heck I can do to make that image go away so that WHEN I play my ps3 I don't SEE that burn in anymore.
oh and my LCD is a SOVA 32" and Im using RBG cables for HD and it's set to 1080i as for my computer screen im using the same TV SOVA 32" and a DVI connector for my computer.

I do not want to go back to the file in a couple of months to learn that the file got corrupted during zipping or failed to decompress properly. But, the reasons I want to do it I suppose aren't really relevant. I realize I could write an iso and burn it in Vista, but is there just a way to get VPC to recognize my burner?My computer specs are in my sig, and my first burner is just whatever default comes with that computer (sorry, I honestly don't know how to tell anything more specific about it), and my second burner is an external usb dvd burner, called "ez-dub."

The problem is in burning the CD.I'm using Nero 7 Ultra. View 9 Replies View RelatedI was burning a DVD on my roommate's computer and the DVD burner quit doing anything about halfway through it. I click cancel, wait a few minutes, nothing happens. I close the program through the task manager, I get nothing. After waiting a couple more minutes, I press and hold the power button on the tower. Anywho, I restart the computer and it takes me to this screen here: What's wrong? BTW, no hardware has been installed/uninstalled since he bought the computer.

i have a hard disk that has been recently affected by Win32/Mywife.E@mm virus and all the .doc and xls files have been reduced to 1kb irispective of their initial sizes and when you open the files you get this error; DATA Error [47 0F 94 93 F4 K5] I would like to recover the affected files to their original state, i have searched the internet over and no one seems to have the solution documented currently i am trying to download QuickView Plus (Version 8), i have tried all aplications i can come across, including recover my files, winhex, get data back for ntfs, and r-studio.

The burning only goes for anywhere from one to five songs worth then stops. When I click on those that didn't burn I get a window that reads, "Windows Media Player cannot burn the files because there is not enough free disk space to store the temporary files. Delete some unneeded files on your hard disk and then try again".
