Nov 2, 2004I do not have a default viewer in Fax Console after uninstalling Adobe. How do I make Windows Imaging and Fax Viewer my default again.

Fax Viewer Is No Longer Default Viewer?
Apr 21, 2006I just sent a fax & when I tried to view it, fax console opened adobe photoshop instead of fax viewer. I installed adobe a few months ago & this is the 1st fax I have sent since then. APS is not clear & I don't like it for this function. I prefer windows FV. How do I restore the viewer to its original target (FV)?

The problem is, when I click on the "open image for editing" button, it opens Paint. I want it to open Photoshop. There appear to be no options (or any other) menus available.

May 24, 2005I've had this networked drive for photos going great for months. When I use the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, I can rotate clockwise/counter-clockwise and auto save on the spot.any ideas why? The properties an ALL jpg's are not read-only, File Sharing is still set to "allow network users to change files" - are there advanced sharing properties I should look into or do you think this is just another annoying MS bug? Very frustrating.

First 2 for the intended ini, the second the old improper, though still currently functional, boot.ini.old. Both of these are on separate partions on the first internal hard drive, and I have tried turning off my 1 external during boot-up as well as disabling my 2nd internal on the "boot settings", with the same results.The default should be the "Graphics" system, according to the Boot.ini

Sometimes I get programs that all of a sudden "wont respond" and have to end them and then usually restart to use again, like my MSN explorer and occasionally word or excel. When I tried to install .8 I got a message that read: "The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can acces it." So was going to just remove Adobe 7.05 in Add/Remove and got the same message. Went to C:program files and got the same message. I can't get Adobe off my computer. I really need help. The 7.0.5 won't open anything, get the same message. I don't know where the source file would be if it isn't in C:program files.

Jun 24, 2006I have been having problems actually opening the adobe website for the past 4 weeks.I realise that macromedia redirects to adobe and so therefore I also have problems there.Fortunately I managed to reinstall my adobe reader and flash installers from a cd.When I type in the address, after it seems to have searched for a while I get the seasearch from MSN that says the site does not exist and asks if i meant to go to adobe.com! On clicking any links to adobe I just get the page cannot be displayed message!The odd thing is that after I reinstalled the adobe reader from the cd, it came up with 3 updates from the website and I installed them.I am running Windows XP, and have run AVG and adaware scans with no problems. I also run zone alarm (adobe is allowed, must be else it wouldn't have updated itself?)
