Certain Programs Encounter Errors And Need To Close
Sep 8, 2006
i've just re-installed Windows XP SP2 and i'm getting some errors i've never had before:MSN Messenger (version 7.5) - a few seconds after start-up, it gives me this error:Windows Live setup gives me the same error.
A HP zv5000 dual core, 684 mb ram, 80 ghz. First problem I have is when I turn on, it takes forever to load up. I have to restart several times in order to work. Second problem is once I got in and the middle of my internet session, a window keeps pop up saying sp2 has encounter a problem and need to close. And third problem is that my laptop seem to run very slow even though it's a dual core chip sets.
I recive amemory error "not enough memory, close other programs and try again".This happens in Digital Image suite 10.I have used Disk Cleanup, Error Checking, Defragand and set my Performance Options.I am using a: Dimension 8400, Winsowd XP Hone Edition, 1 GB of RAM, Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00Hz speed 2992MHz, Total Capacity of Hard Disc 229.28GB and have used only 18.19 GB and have free 211.08.
When installing new software you are often instructed to close all running windows programs before installation. Does this mean programs you might be using and are still open such as Quicken, Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Printshop etc; or does it mean programs that are running in the background such as an antivirus program, screensaver, taskmanager etc.
my home network might have a virus, programs start up and suddenly close/disappear. On one of the computers an error comes up and says that windows is shutting down(lass.exe file), then it shuts down and reboots. My anti-virus software can't detect nothing. I downloaded the sasser fix and it doesn't detect anything.
I get this error message when I try to install new programs. Turbofloorplanpro.setup.exe Illegal system dll relocation. The system dll user32.dll was relocated in memory. This application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the dll C:windowssystem32shell32.dll occupied an adress range reserved for windows systems dlls. It said to contact vendor for an new dll.
When I try and install programs (and I've tried a few different ones to make sure it's not just the installers) my computer will either reboot or give me errors saying that the .exe for that particular program cannot be accessed.I think the whole problem is related to permissions, I've tried giving administrators full control over program files, but this doesn't seem to have helped.
my computer is weird to the max....here are some problems just to name a few: when running random programs, i get fatal execution errors, i get messages asking to debug random apllications or terminate them, i get messages to just terminate things, i get messages that start coming up whenever i try and open something and whatever i try and open it says it has to close....sometimes my whole screen turns blue with white typewriter font saying i have hit a problem and i need to shut down (blah blah if the problem persists contact blah blah if this is the first time uve seen this error just reboot blah blah) sometimes my computer locks up and i get stupid errors.....they tell me to send error reports, that does no good.....i get them 24/7 too....basically im getting error messaages with lots of zero's / name files in them and my only options really are to terminate things (things being applications im trying to run).....this varies from aol instant messenger, to games, to internet browser, to word, to paint....anything....ive run ad-aware, spybot, mcaffee, ive checked my hijackthis logfile and deleted unwanted things.....ive run chkdsk on bootup, ive run defrag, ive run system restore idno how far back, ive run clean disk, and other stuff.....i think most of these problems have started once i downloaded the service pack 2 package from
I got some problem during windows startup time . some message come like Winlogon.exe encounter a problem and need to close.i thought some virus attack. Pls help to solve the problem
I woke up to a blue screen on my desktop PC today and ran across this forum when trying to search for a fix. An earlier post by someone back in September is giving me hope that perhaps someone here can help me out, because it looks as if I might have the same problem.
Within the last week or so I've frequently encountered a very high CPU load that stays around 70, 80, 90 percent and sometimes even gets stuck at 100% at which point I usually just have to reboot. It occurs even when no programs are running except minimal background like McAfee and ZoneAlarm. P4, 2GHz, 512 DDR RAM, XP SP2.
A few days ago my pc wouldnt start. it started to load on the XP logo screen - progress bar moves across - then stops. so I use the power button to restart, which gives the option for safe mode etc. Ive tried system restore, scanning, starting up using boot disk. still not happening. Question I have is if I use the utility to reload the pc "as I bought it". will I get the same problem? I dont want to go to the trouble of reloading windows, software etc. (I only made a boot disk after this problem begun; will this have any bearing on reloading windows?)
I have been trying to install a HP PSC 1350 printer, but have encounter an error repeatedly. The installation runs smoothly until I am asked to insert the USB cable. When I do, the progress bar reaches 6/8 before I am notified that the 'RPC Server could not be reached'. I have check Services, and both the RPC services are on, but still nothing- what could it be?I am running Windows XP Home, with 171.2GB additional memory, 512MB RAM and and a 3Ghz Processor.
Long time since I posted for help but right now I have the Windows Explorer message Winows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience. in the middle of my screen It appears on boot and remains there .If I click close ,the desktop icons disappear and reappear and the message also reappears several seconds later,In those few seconds things seem to operate normally but after it appears, things on the screen just blink once when I click on them and nothing else happens. If I click something , and then click close on the message, it clears the desktop and reappears the previous click is then executed and the lockup is back .I can do things one at a time by repeating this closing process and the application on the screen does not close but reappears also
When I start the computer, I get a screen freeze and have to press Ctrl,Alt,Del once before any programs will startup. A lot of probs with internet connection and slowness while surfing as well as a lot of pop up ads in my face.
There are system boxes coming up with registry and dll errors and the whole system seems SLOW.
The family computer is playing up and to the best of my knowledge the computer in question just simply suddenly stopped working as it should. I am unable to get the 'default' welcome screen upon start up and am getting the logon box where you type in a username and passworld. I know how to get rid of this, user accounts>enable welcome screen - but it will not solve the problem. This is just the start of the problems. I get a whole host of errors which popup one after another.
I am being shown "script error","page error, you may need to change browser settings",and "behind firewall" when I try and send files and photos. I've tried everything I know to fix this, but I still see these errors and still cannot send photos while I'm online.
I was checking my daughters pc for some usual maintenance. The start programs on list suddenly dont open, computer freezes up, did the error-checking but I cannot seem to get some vital prgrams to open up. I am running a couple of recent worm tools from Symantec and so far, nothing. Could this be a hardware problem or can someone tell me something I am missing?
I reinstalled Windows XP. For some reason, all of my old programs show up in Windows Explorer, but not in the Start Menu or in Control Panel/Add Remove Programs. Is there a way to fix this?
Something has taken over my computer and I can't seem to find it. I think it may be in my registry somewhere because when i bring up task manager, i am not able to use i can only see the processes that are running. When TM is running i am unable to close it out. Once I bring up task manager the rest of the computer pretty much locks down and i can't gain internet access. Any insight that you guys have would be
I have Xp and i just installed a bunch of new programs and when i go into the start all programs menu there all highlighted in that orange tint and even after clicking the shortcuts they still stay like that is there a way how to get rid of it
Just did an upgrade install of Win2k on a Win98SE system. I've had this computer for ages and did not want to do a clean install. The upgrade went fine except for one problem. In my add/remove program section all of my previously installed programs are missing. They were not deleted, just missing from add/remove.How do I restore these programs back into the add/remove program section?
this error message is displayed when i try to launch internet explorer. i don't think they are really sorry like they say. the other browsers , such as firefox are no problem. this applies whether i use internet explorer alone, or through msn. the only way i can get to my emails . is through msn messenger, and then my emails. it's driving me nuts , and i am not massively computer literate
I have been getting this message for a month or so and since it hasn't seemed to cause any problem other than annoyance, I have just started to look into it. Unfortunately, I haven't found much information on t.exe and I cannot remember doing anything (like adding a new program or deleting a program) that would have interfered with the operating system.I have an HP laptop that runs Windows XP Home
I have been having problems with my screen freezing (first the screensaver froze - I turned it off, then the cursor froze - requires reset, every few hours). The last time this happened I also got a message saying "Dr Watson postmortem debugger has encountered an error and needs to close". Where do I start looking to solve this? Ive run Memtest - all clear (both channels, both modules). I did have an intermittent "Computer wont start" problem that I traced to an ill-fitting long plug on the motherboard - re-seated. A while back I installed Hijack This to problem solve something else but have since forgotten how to use it . I assume my system is producing logs of all this, but where do I look for them?
