Hijacked My Pc?
Mar 3, 2007My situation is this, my computer cannot conect to the update of Antivir, My Internet Explorer its been acting very funny, sometimes I cannot make my favorites to appear, and the shorcut of a link of Internet of Sympatico MSN, canot be displayed, I reall.y need some help here , somtimes I get like a flash on the cornerup right of my monitor, when I turn off a page of Internet Explorer.
I cant make with double click , of the mouse appear even a notepad in my desktop !!

My roomate downlad a patch for a game, today when I return from classes , she told me that teh computer start acting pretty badly, I realy dont know how long, Im gonna be able to control mu computer, I check first my computer and its was a Trojan URL blank.
So I perform teh remove Instructions for teh reg. infected, but this time its been far from my knowledge of Fix. I can post a hijack if required , righ tnow I scaning with antivir removal tool 3.0 but I dont know it, going to work .

my taskmanager shut down button etc disappeared or i didnt have acces to itafter reading some on the internet i found a way to work around thisI fixed most of the things but there is still the darn antivirus that is missingfiles but when i look at the map its there

Nov 26, 2004Last week, my home page was hijacked by spyware (I think), it was actually 2 pages in length, the bottom of first page was a note "Removal instructions". I have windows XP SP2.I was able to go into the registry, with the help of another forum, and delete the offending file. Now my home page is white with my general icons, (I used to have the pretty beach picture of windows XP). I can't seem to restore the picture.I have also discovered the same file in "my computer" in system 32. When I press delete the icon disappears for about 3 seconds and then returns. The files name is "Twain Tech" and in system 32 as "Twunk 16" and "Twunk 32"

May 25, 2005Earlier today, my main computer was hi-jacked by Antivirus Gold. I can uninstall it, but it returns immediately upon reboot. Try as I might, I cannot get rid of it. It's taken over my desktop and
will not allow me to change it, constant black background with a huge "Buy Me" advertisement.
It seems to behave like Spyware, but Microsoft's beta spyware detection and removal utility doesn't know about this and fails to see it. In fact, none of my housekeeping utilities, including SpyBot,
AdAware, Registry FirstAid, etc., see it or remove it. It won't leave me alone, constantly popping up with warning messages urging me to buy.

Jan 6, 2005I have NO CLUE if this is some virus or something i got while trying to remove adwear or when downloading something off the internet, or whether it was my own mistake or something that wasn't done correctly... yeah.. Jan 16, 2009I used the wrong xp upgrade disk for my PC - I used the xp OS disk I have for my Laptop. I tried to switch disks in the middle of the process. but after crashing the computer and making it unable to boot I was forced to do a repair with the wrong disk and complete the upgrade with it. NOW, I need to change the xp OS Key so I don't have an invalid install and can activate it. I tried MS Key-Update-Tool, but the program won't accept the key. PLEASE HELP.

The HP recovery utility then partially ran, but disk 2 is missing from my recovery cd's. because that is not what I wanted to do. Dec 18, 2004This will sound really like a really stupid thing to have done, but basically i followed a troubleshooting article on the microsoft website to try and fix an error on my PC, (every time i shut down i get a big blue screen thing). Part of what it suggested was removing a number of files from the registry. I did this but unfortnatly i seem to have just made things worse. The error message still appears when i shutdown but now i seem to have deleted something needed for my CD drive as this now says that the regisry is corrupted in its error box. Is there any way of getting the files i deleted back ( i did not make any backups).I am running windows 2000 and the files i deleted were Cdralw2k and Cdr4_2k

Feb 6, 2006I made a mistake when I moved into a house that doesn’t have high speed Internet. I signed up for netzero to get me through the months that I will not have high speed. I installed their software then their software downloaded some more software that is still locking my computer up on occasion, even after I have uninstalled their software. It doesn't lock it up totally it just doesn't let me run any other programs and it doesn't let me log off (even through CTRL ALT DEL). I use Mozilla Firefox and whenever I try to browse for certain websites in google and any search engine, I get a list of a whole bunch of sites. When I click on them, however, I goto some weird links like monster ware or some other sites instead of what I intended and when I try to type in specific URLs, sometimes, it takes three reloads to load an entire page. I have a crappy wireless DSL that connects with 11.0 mbps and everything was fine with web browsing until a few days ago. Any ideas?

Aug 20, 2005Recently my computer has started to freeze up or 'hang' (I think that's the right term). I use my computer for internet access almost exclusively, be it browsing, internet telephony, downloading stock data, or cleaning the fish at the poker tables (but more on the poker app in a second). I am using FireFox with tabbed browsing; everything will be normal then suddenly I won't be able to tab back and forth between open windows. Clicking on any icon on my computer brings about no response. The solution is always the same I click control alt delete and bring up the windows security dialog box. I click on Task Manager and nothing happens. THEN - I click on Task Manager a second time and the TM pops up. The weird thing is I don't have to do anything else. Task Manager shows all programs as running and then I simply close Task Manager and all programs are again functioning normally. Somehow the process of opening the TM clears the freeze-up. This is happening with all programs EXCEPT- my poker client, which doesn't freeze up at all - I can play poker or chess through the ICC BlitzIn client and there is no freeze-up. It is only when I am browsing, or using the Skype internet telephony client, that this happens, and I believe it is only when the browser is up. I have run complete Trend Micro Scans which discovered a few problems including asujuja.exe. I fixed all problems found at Trend Micro Housecall. I ran a bunch of other scans and cleaners that I have. I am going to do a defrag of my HD tonight. I downloaded the latest version of FireFox and installed it over top of the older version I had but this didn't work. Does this ring any bells with anyone? Why does the Task Manager clear this blockage and why must I always click on Task Manager TWICE to get it to work (this is the weirdest thing about the problem).

Sep 26, 2005I was downloading a online game (MapleStory) and browsing the internet while it was downloading. But then everything started lagging and stuff and then froze and I had to restart my computer. When I restarted it, all the icons on the desktop wouldnt work and had no picture. Also when I clicked start and looked under all programs nothings there. All the folders still there too but either its empty or same thing with the desktop. I was lucky enough to be able to get a browser up though and came on to this site through google. im using XP.
