Is Not Genuine U May Be A Victim Of Software Counter
Sep 27, 2006I am using window xp. but my windows is not licenced. One day by mistake i chose the option of windows update through internet. i did not get success to do so. Rather i am facing a problem from that day. The problem is that every time when i start computer i get a message that '' Your windows is not genuine, you may be a victim of software counterfeiting.'' and every time i have to wait for some time due to a countdown timer.An icon has also been automaticaly added in my system tray. if i click on this icon this gives the same message.

Dec 8, 2008I have an HP 6P laser printer that always prints three copies of everything. I have tried going into the advanced settings, clearing cache and nothing seems to work. In the mean time, I press Ctrl-P and set the copies to 1, but all too often I wind up forgetting about the glitch and make two extra copies that aren't needed. Any ideas of how to set the counter back to one by default?

Jul 20, 2005friend whose computer has crashed the screen had frozen. He could do nothing except reboot it using the power button but on rebooting, there was a 'no signal' message on a black screen. We have checked the monitor connections (the monitor works when connected to his second computer) and even replaced the video card but of course this made no difference (no signal) We've taken out the HD and installed it on his second system. Does this mean that the most likely cause now is the motherboard/bios or is there something wrong in our approach/deductions

Oct 18, 2009I have searched for some weeks now and have seen an increase in people who also found that while viewing in the Full Screen option on You Tube and/or Hulu.com that the "Press Esc to Exit Full Screen" message that appears in the center of the screen does Not fade away after a few seconds. Of course that makes Full Screen viewing unacceptable. I posed the question to the site itself and have never received a reply. One general forum said something about Unlocking certain Files (Adobe) that were found locked because of cookie handling upon installation, but as a novice that is beyond my comprehension.In any case, is anyone aware of a fix for this problem? (That message is not suppose to stay there) I am using Win XP IE8. I tried viewing using the Firefox Browser (3.5.2) and it did not help.

Mar 31, 2006hello, helping a friend, he has a screen msg which is actually the background now that says he has spyware etc etc and click here to buy a solution. It took over his settings for his background screen; and it will not let us do a system restore. It is linked to a site that says teslaplus but it may be a spoof. How do we get rid of it. Jul 7, 2008when i switch my pc in the spare room on which the kids use it starts up as normal but when it gets to the blue welcome screen a message comes up and you are unable to go any further. If you click ok to the message then the pc switches off. Oct 13, 2005I have a few computers at home and within the last 3 weeks or so one of them has been displaying and error message with the notorious "Blue Screen of death" as it's background. The computer is running Windows XP Home Edition with all the updates and is scanned every few days using SpyBot Search & Destroy and Adaware SE Personal. I have SpywareBlaster installed and updated daily (if there are any updates) and AVG Antivirus scans daily and it is always updated daily as well.I have not installed any new hardware on this computer nor have I installed any new software either. Just so ya know, neither has anyone else. If something is put on, or done to this computer, I know about it.
This problem has occurred about 3 times while the computer has been on and running for a few hours AND it has also happened once during the bootup and loading of the operating system. (That just happened today). What happens is this. the computer SOUNDS like it is shutting down. Or to be more specific, it sounds as if one of the cooling fans has quit, just like it sounds when the computer is shutting down. I have ruled this out by removing the case cover and visually inspecting all 3 fans, all of which were operating fine. These fans include the PSU fan, CPU fan, and the fan for the tower. That's all there is in this system.
Intermittent Blue Screen Message
Nov 25, 2008My old computer has a blue screen problem which is intermittent, and usually as it is loading windows, however can happen anytime. It is not a heat problem as it happens as well when the puter is completely cold and started. I ran Memtest for 2 cycles and there were not memory problems showing. I cleared the CMOS and installed a new BIOS battery after that and reset the BIOS to its previous settings. I am running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3; Board: MSI MS-6380E 1.0; 512 Megabytes Installed Memory [DDR]; 1566 megahertz AMD Athlon XP; Maxtor Hard Drive; RADEON 8500 SERIES [Display adapter]. My screen will suddenly go into Blue screen with the message Driver_IRQL_Not_less_or equal then Stop 0X000000D1 [0X00000004, 0X00000002, 0X00000001, 0X82F8839C] . The Blue screen will frequently then have wide lines appear across the screen so you cant read every line. I took out my video card and reinserted it. Does anyone know the code message translation to identify the area of fault?

Oct 2, 2009i shut down while pc was running chkdsk (yes, I now know how stupid that was). I rebooted and that brought me to the blue screen that I have not been able to get past yet. Message reads: stop:0x00000024(0x00190203, 0x83160AB0, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000) I was able to change setup to get it to reboot from the cd drive and used the XP Diagnostics CD to run diagnostics.
