When I right-click on a file and highlight "Send To", there should (I think)
be a shortcut to Mail Recipient. However, it doesn't appear on my computer

When i get a message in hotmail which has a couple of pictures tagged on the bottom it will only print the text and not the pictures unless it all fits on one page .If several pages are required only the first page shows any pictures,the other pages come out blank apart from the hotmail menu on the left hand side.

View 9 Replies View Relateda virus on their machine ,I don't know which or what, then tried to get rid of it by reloading windows. Because I teach office applications such as word, excel etc, they think I can fix it for them straight away. I have a little knowledge, they have none so to speak. Someone has pointed me to your site and so I thought I would give you guys a shot. What is happening. - The computer hard drive has got very little on it - but it is running very very slow. I know this is processor memory not storage memory that governs the speed, but I thought you needed to know that bit of info. The email doesn't appear to be working - it says the IMAP setting is wrong but I have checked the email account properties and they all look ok to me. It will log onto the internet - eventually - but is exceptionally slow and will not open any pages - although the browser window opens it keeps saying 'page cannot be displayed'. I have run adaware - but there wasn't much on it - although it did say that it could not delete 'deskadserve'.....

All you can see is like the shadow of the menu and you can only see things when you scroll over them. like i said above, i read about this on a previous board and tried the solution that was recommended, but it didn't work for me.

Since my upgrade, whenever I send an email to multiple recipients, each recipient gets multiple emails to the numer I sent out. e.g. If I send an email to 10 people in the "to" box, each person gets 10 identical emails.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI discovered that when I opened the Drop Down Menu in My Documents to move some image files into their appropriate folders, that My Documents which normally has the + next to it, that you click on to show all of your folders, well that is gone. Now I have to open an existing folder in My Documents and go back, in order for the + sign to appear. I know this does not seem like a huge problem, but I work with a lot of graphics and it becomes tedious. Does anyone know what caused this and how it can be fixed?

I just got a new computer with WinXPHome. All works OK except I can not receive my email into OE 6, all email stays with AT&T's Webmail, which I do not want to use. My old Win98 computer has no problems with getting my email. The settings on both computers are the same. I have disabled NAV email scanning. I have no idea what to do. I like OE, and want to continue using it.

View 14 Replies View RelatedMy OE has a glitch or is corrupt. I have followed step by step the following Microsoft site down to the instructions for uninstalling and reinstalling IE6.0 with does include OE 6.0 The strange behavior that I am experiencing is:
1. When I open OE and click on "Create email" the page momentarily comes up to write and email, but then immediately OE closes....vanishes. This all happens in a second or so.
2. If I go to Tools/options within the open OE program, anything I change within Options makes OE show "this program is not responding" in Ctrl/Alt/delete/Applications.
I have not attempted to uninstall and reinstall as shown on the given website above as it looks complicated to me with limited experience.Is there a simple way of uninstalling and reinstalling OE please. I have XP/SP2
I am trying to make a flash drive bootable into wxpro. I have several format tools inclucing hp format tool. When I tried to access 98 startup disk to format my rally drive I got the message "no media". I copied the files to another area and received the same message. I then tried the format tool in xp. I cannot access the greyed out area to include msdos sys files. I have a old dos 6.0 prog that I use at work. I have been able to get the prog to work in 98. The use of a flash drive would be excellent if I can get it to work. To access/remove computer is a hassle and if I could just plug in a flash drive in would be excellent. So far I havent been able to get the drive to boot into xp.

Unfortunately, all my settings, documents, financial files, etc are located under the original JohnDoe folder (still present).How can I redirect the JohnDoe log-in to look at the JohnDoe folder rather than JohnDoe.My_Computer?(side note, I set up my computer to share, and when I put in the computer name, I spelled it slightly different than the original. I have changed it back to the original spelling, but with no success. I have also deleted the new folder, just to have it recreated at log in!)
I don't know what happened, but my default e-mail program in MS Word changed
by itself and now when I try to send to and mail recipient it uses Outlook
instead of Outlook Express like I originally had setup.
Was never able to restart after that. Normal boot shows the windows initial screen, but eventually just restarts, safe mode does the same thing whether it's with network, command line or plain safe mode. Last known good configuration does the same.Needed to use a file so decided to remove the HD and re-install to another PC. I did have access to the file in question but now I'd like to fix the problem.
The other system uses AVG. I started a scan and it detected Cekar.d (A0003977.exe, wdfmgr.exe and initially ntldr.exe), Dropper.Inor (ntdetect.hta, A0003979.hta), PSW.Generic5.ABVW (ctfmona.exe), PSW.OnlineGames.AAFI (ctfmonb.exe), PSW.Generic5.AFYK (ctfmond.exe), PSW.OnlineGames.ZWT (LotusHlp.exe) and some others but for whatever reason the scan stopped. I restarted it and now the AV still finds most of the threats it was seeing before but not Cekar.d. in the ntldr.exe file.
Running XP with 'CLASSIC' style menus. When I display PROGRAMS in the START menu, it only displays 3 or 4 items and then it has two Down Arrorws at the bottom of the menu, which I have to click to get the full menu. Is there some setting causing this to happen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Windows XP/SP2 a newish computer and some things changed from how it used to be.From the *Start* Button, there is the further button *Programs*. This then has the fly-out menu which used to open only the most recently accessed programs. Typically, after a boot it would show the items which opened in *Start-Up*, the rest were accessible only by hovering the mouse cursor over a button showing downward pointing arrows (more chevron like). This would then open the entire sub menu of programs to choose from. However, in the past week it now opens in that expanded view all the time. There is no sign of the little arrows anymore, and I always end up with a screen full of program lists whenever I go to Start/Programs.

I also have Stopzilla, Spyware Blaster, and Spybot. Would the problem have something to do with one of the blockers? And if so, how do I fix it? You can tell everyone that uses the computer does not like popupads. And we surely don't want to be infected with viruses and all that other bad stuff.
