I go to "My Pictures" and then I select a picture I want to publish on the Internet. Using the Windows Publishing wizard, it only gives me MSN pages to put my pictures on. How do I get it to give me an option of publishing stuff to "Photobucket" or any other webiste like that?

I'm running Windows XP Home, with SP2.Currently, in the My Pictures folder, all my photos are represented as a thumbnail. However, on each thumbnail, there is a significant amount of white space at the top and bottom, that is left over. You will know what I mean if you look at my avatar.

Where did they go & how do I get them back? Stupid me erased them from the camera after I uploaded so please tell me I did'nt lose them & that they r on my hard drive somewhere!
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a collection of pictures on my pc,tranferred on to hard drive from a digital camera.they cover sep-dec'06. i have put them all,individually, in a folder,having renamed them to a,b,c, --- etc,to get them to burn to cd-r in sequence. i use xp's 'burn to cd' facility.however,they still come out jumbled and not in sequence as desired. i believe there is a way of correctly renaming them for this purpose but i can not remember how. i seem to remember some article suggesting using 0000/0001/0002 numbering etc to achieve this.is this correct/ correct numbering sequence?

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy daughter's eMachines PC has XP. She was moving some photos from one folder to another. Now they won't preview or open. The thumbnail images do not show up either.In Properties they do not say "Read Only" or "Hidden" and it will not let me alter anything. It will say "Error Applying Attributes"-"Access is denied".I asked her what happened and she said she was prompted if she wanted to move these "Read Only" files and she clicked "Yes" because she said it has asked her before on some.It lists the titles and the size of the files. The other photos in the folder show their previews and thumbnails, but these just show the generic JEPG icon.

View 10 Replies View RelatedAbout 2 weeks ago I went to open an attachment and it said i needed a different program to open this. Up pops a box with a dozen or so of my regular programs so I though I will try microsoft word. I now know that was the wrong thing to do as all my pictures on my computer (hundreds) if clicked on Microsoft word opens AND THEN EVERTHING COMES UP IN XO/ JIBBERISH.i THINK ITS CALLED SCRIPT.The only way I can get the picture to open in the right program which is Nero is to right click mouse and point to open .It then directly opens in Nero.Last night we uninstalled Microsoft word and Nero to see if that helped and it did not.Lastly if email is sent with attachment when it is open it also come up through Microsoft word in gibberish however the picture is in the bottom prevue pane.

I ran HP PC System Recovery, the non destructive version because some of my system files were missing. Problem solved on that, but now my photos are all gone. I looked at the hard drive space and I cannot remember what the exact amount was before, but it looks like I have about the same amount.

XP-Pro, SP2, Pen4,Internal Drive;Using the Windows default copier, I can burn DVDs from my video files using the DVD-RW drive, but I can't burn CDs from my photo file. If my burner burns videos onto DVDs shouldn't it burn pictures onto CDs too, it's the same drive. Until recently the burner did burn both types of files. I can't determine why it will no longer burn photographs.

When I open the folder as thumbnails the thumbnails show the original pictures, but when I open the file I get the new photo. View 3 Replies View RelatedThis morning I wanted to make a back up cd of my documents and I burned it. After, I went into Picasa, where I HAD thousands of photos. Nearly all are gone! The "My Pictures" folder is also gone from "My Documents" on the hard drive, as is all the folders I had in "My Documents." The files seem to be on the cd, but I am not sure they are all there. WHY oh, WHY would the files and photos be GONE from my hard drive? How could just making a cd cause the files to disappear? I can't tell you what a tragedy this is! I had thousands of photos that I had edited and projects I had created. Dates that were with photos are gone, since all the dates now show today's date since that is when I burned the cd. As a possible troubleshooting thought--twice I have tried to start my computer and it has frozen at the "windows is starting up" screen, not even getting to the place where I put my password as an authorized user. and after I selected the photos, I was asked if I wanted to resize them, and
then after I e-mailed them, the photos always appeared in the e-mail once it
was opened (not as an attachment). Now I use Outlook, and when I try to send
the photos from "My Photos" folder, they are sent as attachments, and they
are not viewable in the actual e-mail. I have searched for a setting to
change this, but I can't find any. Does anyone know how I can send multiple
photos in an e-mail using Outlook, so that they can be viewed as soom as the
e-mail is opened, rather than having to download and open each individual
photo as an attachment?
I need to know how to delete an item from the background list in Display
Properties/Desktop. These are digital photos from My Pictures that somehow
got copied to the background list. These items are not in
Windows/Web/Wallpaper. When I "right click" on an item, I get "whats this?",
not "rename, delete, etc."
