My Dell XPS Gen 3 from 2004 underwent a serious issue when I installed Kaspersky Internet Security resulting in BSoD when I booted computer. Long story short, I had to buy a replacement HDD as the original drive fell and now only plays music (Took it out to extract important files, all save, but when troubleshooting it back on PC with the recovery console it fell).
On my PC I had two extra HDDs, one at 170gigs for music/pics and some apps and a 500 gig for media and some apps. I unattached both those HDDs when I did a fresh install of XP Home Edition on my Dell XPS. After that install seeing everything loads and works as expected I powered down PC and attached my other two drives to get an Error Loading OS.
Couple weeks ago my friends computer got blue screen error message and we called Dell and they sent us a DVD: Operating System - Reinstallation DVD Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Version 2005 with Update Rollup 2. With one of user help i was able to reinstall Windows from DVD. I can not connect to internet through cable. or I can not turn the wireless adapter on ( F2 button) Or when i try to play sample music with Media Player it gives an error message - Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.
i'm using window's xp. whenever i start my i-tunes program, i get an error message telling me "i-tunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. audio/video lpayback may not work properly." at this point, i no songs will play, and the sound doesn't come through the speakers when i'm watching any videos on the web either. Every once and a while, my monitor will flicker, then power down, leaving me with no choice but to manually shut the pc down. in addition, the desktop and browser graphics have begun to deteriorate. they almost look like somethign from windows 95. i have no idea where to start,
I'm running Windows XP SP 2 and I get an error message whenever i connect my blackberry curve to the computer. if the usb device is stopped, it will go away, but other than that it won't disappear after clicking cancel. if it helps, I installed the roxio media manager only yesterday, when the error first came up. Its name is Exception Process Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6b
Every time I switch on my machine and try to connect to the internet, I get a dialogue box: Web page is unavailable while offline. To view this page, click connect. When I click connect, I can view the page and don't get the error message again until I switch off the machine. Why does this happen?
I while ago someone sent me a DAT file on this newsgroup that helped restore the msinfo32.exe file. I can't remember what the file was, though. Could anyone send it me again? Whatever happened to disable msinfo32.exe seems to have happened again, not sure what, but I think it's ZoneAlarm Pro cleaning out the locked DAT files.
I am unable to use the View / Remote Computer... option in msinfo32.exe to view information on remote computers with the Windows Firewall turned on.It looks like the firewall is blocking traffic on ports 137 and 138, among other things. What must I add to the firewall Exceptions list to fix this problem?
whenever i type in msinfo32.exe into the run box i get windows xp help and support... how do i go about viewing msinfo32 instead of the help and support

I am missing "System Information". I cannot get it from System Tools/System Information nor can I get it by going to Runmsinfo32. It just takes me to Help & Support.
With Windows XP Home shortly after using CleanUp 4.0, I noticed I no longer can access the System Information Tool (msinfo32.exe). When I enter msinfo32 in Run or use Programs > Accessories > System Information it takes me directly to the Help and Support Center. Before I downloaded CleanUp 4.0 I didn't see any "Known Issues" listed at the Steven Gould site concerning this problem. While during a Google search concerning any issues Windows XP and msinfo32.exe
a message keeps popping up saying the following: Cannot load dialog. Error 623: The system could not find the phone book entry for this connection. All I can do is click the close button and it goes away and nothing else seems to happen, but it pops up again in a few minutes.
after I reinstalled Windows XP with SP2 I cannot install my canon fax l-350 german title. The setup quits with the subject's message. I searched the web and found some other people having the same problem
I have a Dell Inspirion laptop and have formated the HD and removed the partions. Have tried booting from a USB HD and have also tried another burned disk. No change will not install.
Man, my computer for the last two weeks have been crashing like an emo. I mean, when I play GTA: San Adreas, in 20 minutes, I get a BSOD with a stop error. When I put hardware acceleration to full, in a half an hour, I get a BSOD with a similar error. Believe me, I got three kinds of errors, and some were from different time. I believe the problem either came from the either the PSU, new 512 mb of ram, old 512, CPU, system board, or the graphic card. I'll try to post the error as best as I can. So, is there a solution to this? Error Message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078) This is one of them, but there another one with KMODE that I can't seem to remember. Also, sometimes, after it tries to recover from a serious error, the computer shuts down during the bootup before I can choose which XP version I can choose. Also, I hate to say this, but I'm not using a legit windows copy sp1, but I have updated to sp2.
i had XP 2008 virus/spyware, which I think I managed to get rid of with Malwarebytes' Anti Malware and System Mechanic 7. Now I have a new problem. After receiving a recent download from microsoft, upon restarting, I get the blue screen of death with this message; STOP: C000021a (Fatal System Error) The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000)
I can't get anywhere into Windows, I've done F2, F8, F12, everything I could think of without risking more damage. I've booted from the system mechanic CD with the Hard Drive recovery, and while it said it found and fixed a problem, it didn't fix this one.
When I'm trying to start up Windows XP Home Edition I receive an error box without an error message, I can just click YES or NO. Neither option let's me continue. When starting up in Safe Mode, everything works fine.

I keep getting this error message when I boot. The entire message says, "windows explorer has encountered an error and needs to close." When I close the box, i lose my desktop, and can't run a bunch of programs, including the "run" option. I am able to run my browsers and get on the web. I did do a system restore, and it worked at first, but then on the next reboot, i got the error message again. Did another system restore, same thing.

When I turn my pc and windows loads up an error message appears saying that windows service pack 2 setup has encountered an error and has to close. However when I close the error message it keeps popping up every 20 seconds or so. When I went to microsofts website that told me that service pack 2 was installed on my pc. I have ran a full viral scan using the latest version of Panda and have also ran Reg-cure to see if the problem was in the registry but the error message still keeps popping up.
I'm getting an error message of exp.exe everytime I turn on my computer. It will load and then it will give me that error. Then, after about 2 minutes the computer will freeze.
receiving an error message box when I close any site The error, It says below debug then send report and don't send report. Sometimes this happens but rarely when I am surfing the site.
Every time they log on to the computer, there are 2 pop up messages that come up. They both say "Can't run 16-bit Windows program -- Insufficient memory to run this application. Quit one or more Windows applications and then try again."
When I boot up I get this error. How can I figure out what app is the problem it is complaining about Everything else on the system is fine I just close the window and the system boots fine.
Windows pops up an error message box, with an "ok" box in it. The server app cannot be restarted until that silly box is clicked in. This is very irritating to me, because it only crashes when I go away from home, of course, when I need the watchdog most
When I start up my PC I get the following error message after logging on: Error loading C:WindowsSystem32ridge.dll I'm on an XP platform. Is this a serious prob ? How can I rectify it ?
