Whenever I switch users then log back in after 3 seconds my computer goes into my screen-saver. The only way I can keep it from doing this is to franticly move my mouse all over the screen. This happened just 30 seconds ago and its really annoying

Since over a couple of months ago, I have been receiving a blue screen error when I log off a limited account and log into my administrator account. It only happens when I log off a different user and log in to my account and the error it states is: win32.sys error

I have two people (two user accounts ) using one computer. However when one wants to switch between users by going Start | Log Off there isn't any other user name to switch to and I end up shutting down the computer.

When I Switch users to logg on another account but still keep the previous one logged on, the other account I logg in after I switch users, the computer works really slow. Only after I switch users. It didn't do that before. Why is it slow?
View 8 Replies View RelatedBoth my wife and I are admins. On my side all things run ok. When my wife switches to her side everything comes to the screen correctly but there is no sound. No sound bits, wav., game sounds. I have checked all the places that I know and it looks like everything is ok.I do not know how to fix this problem, but I'm sure someong out there might be able to help me. I sure hope so. It runs pretty quick otherwise. It has a 120 gb harddrive, 256 mb of ram and a atlon processor 3100+. Has anybody experience this before. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We are 2 users, I am the main user and my partner is the second user. A problem frequently arises when he switches to his"area" in that an AVG box comes up for updating but then freezes . He then tries to shut it down gets the message "this program is not responding click on end or cancel" so we can't get rid of it.I have spoken to the Dell help line who a) want to charge me for any advice as they say this is nothing to do with the hardware, and only the hardware is guaranteed b) when I complain about this they say I have to get rid of

That is, it goes black and some messages come up on the screen saying the usual "check power etc" messages and the light flashes. I was using a screen saver with fish in an aquarium. With only my 8 MB card, the animation was really impressive. I tried my screen saver yesterday with my new 512 MB card and the picture was terrible. There were plenty of horizontal lines on the screen. What could explain this? Could it be that the program wasn't intented for this type of card? In those days, big cards like mine didn't exist. There might be a new update to this screen saver.

I did a system restore and now it seems to work OK but the colores have changed, I get a yellow background and my word page is yellow. I have tried altering settings in display to no avail. We have one group in particular that has a user complaining that they are being logged off of remote desktop rather frequently. I checked their VM and the screen saver wasnt set to go off for over 2 hours and they are complaining that they are getting logged off after 30min. View 14 Replies View RelatedGot my wife a new E-machine (i realize it is a cheaper computer but good enough for us) anyway, when it goes into the screen saver mode just a black screen if it hasn't been in screen saver very long you can just touch the mouse like you do with any other computer and it comes back on, however, if it goes into sleep mode and you leave it for say 15 or 20 min it is kind of random times it will not come back on by touching the mouse or clicking the spacebar button you have to push in the power button on the tower (just push it in and let it right back out) and then the desktop comes back up , it comes out of sleep mode. My question is ---what can I do to make it like other computers and just be able to touch the mouse no matter how much time it has been in sleep mode to get it to come back on.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy problem is that once the screen saver has been in use, on moving the mouse to resume Windows the screen goes black. Sometimes if the monitor automatically switches itself off the same effect is seen once the mouse is moved. At this point the LED status indicator flashes and activity on the hard disk but there can be 5 minutes or more before the display operates. Frequently the display will not operate and the only option is to restart the PC. The power management settings are for always on and the monitor is set for always on. There is no password requirement to resume from screen saver to Windows. I have checked the drivers for the monitor and they are current.

I can get into some areas with task manager. However when I opened C: there is no control panel. I ran some spyware and did get rid of some infected files.
