View 3 RepliesI am helping my sister fix her laptop. I am using mine to post and search since hers is very slow. When you try to scroll it rolls the screen (very irritating).MFDnSC was helping me but I think he went to bed (plus, i think I drove him nuts !)Sorry about that MFDnSC, my house is crazy with my 3 kids all under the age of 6.
So anyways I need Help. Below is the latest hjt log, I really hope someone can help me.At this moment I am running ActiveScan and so far it has found 3 spyware and 4 hacking tools and potentially unwanted tools.
I recently reinstalled windows xp and afterward my scrolling started to go slower. It's kind of like a ripple, like it's having a hard time loading something. How do I get it back to normal?

View 5 Replies View Relatedi have a problem with audio on all internet buffers and it wasnt doing this before i tried installing the latest version of winamp 5.56. it gave me an error message saying the file was corrupted, allowing me to ignore, retry, or abort. i tried ignore and it gave me the message again so i just aborted. after that, any internet buffers have problems. for example, on Internet when watching videos, the video plays just fine, but the audio is choppy but still in sync with the video. video and sound will play for like 10 seconds and then the sound will cut out for 2 or 3 seconds only to come back still in sync with the video.
i have the same issue with netflix and listening to online radio stations.
this is not a slow internet problem
My pc is so slow that it takes ages to play a song in wmp11. Ive used tools like ad-aware and registry mechanic, tune up utilities. But still no improvement. It used to be just fine, until I installed some pay-for-viewing add program. I have uninstalled it since then, but the slowness remains. And the processor is hogged, at the highest level, even though i killed many a startup processes.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI badly need your support. Day before yesterday (01-Aug-06) night I upgraded the yahoo toolbar and used their norton anti spy to scan. Then I shut down the system and started to work the next day. Every thing is perfectly ok except for one thing. In Windows Explorer, on any folder or drive if I double click or open I get a crash. If I do explore then there is no problem.

Both generate the same error: "Internet (or Windows) Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." The details show that ole32.dll is the guilty module.
