I have access to all other websites? View 14 Replies View RelatedFor a reason unknown to me, when I visit some webpages, instead of seeing some of the jpg or gif images that make up parts of a webpage I see the image box and a little red "x". Previously I have had no issues when I went to these pages, all the images would be visible. I have not intentionally changed any security settings, and dropping my firewall or Microsoft Antispyware does not seem to make a difference. I even dropped my security settings, but nothing. I have tried right clicking and then selecting "show
picture" but with no positive results.
I use Google as my home page and lately I been having intermittent problems with it. When I open my internet explorer, it says "Internet Explorer cannot display page". It's not my internet connect because if I type in an address other than my home page in the URL bar it will open. My AOL works too. After hitting the home button a few times, my home page, Google will open. But after awhile surfing the net, when I hit the home button, I get that message again that it can't display page. Right now as I type this, I hit the home page button and it says cannot display page so I hit the back arrow and I come back to this page and I can continue typing and I can send this thread. What's wrong with my home page "Google"?

I can gain access to the internet using AOL software but cannot gain access using IE. I have uninstalled IE and reinstalled, nothing. I have turned off virus protectionm nothing. The wierd thing is, I can get google earth to work, I can sign into yahoo messenger, but I can't open IE because it says "page cannot be displayed. Then I shut down the system and started to work the next day. Every thing is perfectly ok except for one thing. In Windows Explorer, on any folder or drive if I double click or open I get a crash. If I do explore then there is no problem.
