Hacking And Spyware Removal

I get alot of system crashes lately and completly being thrown off the internet. I then noticed blinking of the screen when asking to do certain tasks. I have Norton Anti Virus running and is up to date. Everything from AOL{my ISP} to main commands of the system act up and will not function. When I restart my computer, go into SAFE MODE, Click System Restore, the problem does not go away and keeps doing the same thing. I try running commands in the RUN box and the function comes up and then dissappears, I also try deleting some file's that may have currupted other tasks and it will not let me. I then had two viruses that Norton picked up and nothing happened and then deleted.." So either theres more I cant see" or, it's verry possible that my computer is being run by someone other than me

There are two excellent spyware removal apps available and they are both FREE so there is no reason to not use them regularly. The two best apps there are for removing spyware are SpyBot Search & Destroy and Ad Aware. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU USE BOTH OF THESE APPS SINCE ONE FINDS WHAT THE OTHER MISSES AND VICE VERSA, YOU ARE NOT SAFE USING JUST ONE OF THEM. There is one other app that I HIGHLY recommend is for spyware prevention, SpywareBlaster. This app sets certain registry entries that prevent spyware from ever installing, it DOES NOT run in the background using any resources, you just set it and forget it. Once you have installed these three MUST HAVE apps you then need to update them and keep them up to date. I would recommend checking for updates weekly, it’s just like your antivirus app, you need to stay protected from the latest spyware out there. To update SpyBot just open the app from your start menu (use the advanced mode option) and select “search for updates” it will then show you what updates are available for download, always install all the updates. Another feature that SpyBot has is called “Immunize”, you will see an icon for it. Select the icon and under “Permanent Internet Explorer Immunity” select “Immunize” this works in the same way as SpywareBlaster in blocking new spyware. It also gives you the option of locking your hosts file against hijackers, I highly recommend using this option as well. To update Ad Aware just open it and select “Check for updates now”. For SpywareBlaster it is mostly the same, open it up and select “Check for updates” once you update this you then must select “select all” and then “Protect against checked items” so that the updates you just did take effect. Anything these apps find is spyware and should be removed, if you choose not to remove what is found then you have no one to blame if your pc crashes due to spyware or your privacy is invaded (including these companies stealing your credit card number and identity

The machine: Compaq Pressario SR1103 Window XP Home, 256 MB PC2700, ASUS CDRW, NAV.I ran Microsoft Antispyware Beta 1. Found and removed eZula.WebOffer, eZula.TodText, Target Saver Trojan Downloader, SearchForIt.Adshooter, and Hotbar Shopping Reports. After rebooting, all the text in Windows is gibberish, (Symbols). Will a system recovery, using the recovery disk fix the problem, Are there other possible fixes?
The system has a D: partition, which apparently contains the Recovery Console. It's an option at the boot screen. Is it possible to repair this particular problem from the Recovery Console, or is the Repair install my only option

I did do the online scan with TrendMicro and Panda and found alot of adware and trojans which I deleted. The Windows Update site will launch but I get the 80070424 error everytime until I run the "regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll"!. Then the updates will DL but not install, The problem is I have to run this "regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll" after every reboot. The Security Center also reports that Automatic Live Update is off when in fact it is enabled. The above string fixes this but next reboot it goes back I downloaded the file and tried to run but NOTHING happens. The same with AVG or adaware. These just do not launch Other programs like Word and Excel launch fine. What is this! I am now at a breaking point

I have windows xp 2000. Anyways I used to download a lot of movies and anime off of Morpheus. Suddenly one day this black box appeared and stated SPYWARE INFECTION, also the entire screen behind it is blue. But most importantly of all is the run cmd function. The screen C:WINDOWSsystem32cmd.com comes up and there is this ridiculous long code of some sort with smily faces, spades, and all kinds of other characters that I am not familiar with. Secondly, there is a sub screen below this one that reads 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem.

So far I have tried to run Spybot S&D, Registry mechanic, ewido anti-spyware, Spyware Doctor and SpywareBlaster all of these programs seize when carrying out a scan and I have no option but to close the pc down with the power button. I am pretty much at a loss as what to do next and was hoping one of you kind souls could help me. I am running xp.

Back when I first installed x64 many months ago, I apparently installed the VIA USB 2.0 driver, before I knew that wasn't required on this OS. Looking for the cause of another problem, while looking through the Event Manager, I found a couple of system errors that turned out to be USB filters that the system was blocking. I didn't even remember installing the driver, and when I check in Add/Remove Programs, it's not listed. I decided to simply delete the filters and the USB driver folder. However, after rebooting, I wasn't able to use my mouse, so I couldn't restore the driver from the Recycle Bin. I ended up having to do a System Restore, which set things as they were. Still, I'm looking for a way to remove this that won't cause problems. The only thing that I can think of is to try a repair installation of the OS, but I'm unsure that would do this either. I'm guessing that the VIA driver fouled up the native USB on the system, and this is the root cause of some mouse problems that I have been trying to fix for a long time.

We had pcguard as the defences provided by blueyonder, our broadband provide,r for about a year and it worked very well. They then announced a new version and when I downloaded it, the windows were too small for the screens behind them and the procedure was unusable. I asked blueyonder for help but ended up with a frozen pc. I managed to restart it myself and then, tried to uninstall the new pcguard but it won't go away. There is a possibility to instal a new version of the pcguard, but it will not install because the former version will not go. The computer has been behaving strangely since. e.g. :
1] Saying it has to configure HP1Z423 for some things like email or internet, which it did not do before.
2] Starting up in something which looks a bit like safe mode screen, but when enter is pressed, it starts up normally.

So you are one of the hundreds of thousands of people that did not update your computer in time. No problem, just follow the instructions below to remove the worm from your system. Some users that are infected with the worm have a hard time updating and removing the worm because the system automatically pops up a message informing the user that the machine is going to shut down in 60 seconds. To stop your machine from shutting down one this message is displayed, simply go to the start menu and select run. Then type shutdown -a in the text box and click the OK button. This will stop the machine from shutting down. Now the first step is to apply the security patch to your system. We will remove the worm in step three but first it is important to update your system to make it secure. To update your system, click the link below for your operating system and download the file to your computer.
Windows XP Users - Click Here - Windows 2000 Users - Click Here - Windows NT Users - Click Here - Other Versions of this patch - Click HereNow that you have the patch downloaded to your computer, simply run the file from the location that you saved it at. Follow the on screen directions and keep clicking next. Now that the security hole in your system is fixed, it is time to remove the worm. To remove the worm, just download a special program that Symantec developed by clicking here. Once you have downloaded the program, run it and click the start button to start the search for the worm in your system. When it finds traces of the worm, allow the program to delete the files to rid your system of the worm. That's it. Now you should have a worm free system.
