Okay, I've been working on creating a logo for one of my company's products, so I've been downloading some potential fonts to use. But when I go to any of my programs (Word, Freehand 10, or Illustrator), they don't show up in the drop-down windows.How can I get my fonts to work?

I use firefox. My text is supposed to be set up like this:
Fonts for: Western
Proportional: Serif Size: 16
Serif: Times New Roman
Sans-serif: Arial
Monospace: Courier New Size: 13
Display Resolution: 96 dpi Minimum font size: None
Well...after a recent problem with my computer (which most problems have been fixed), I've discovered a lot of text-based problems with my internet. First, websites show up with odd font styles
Somehow my daughter has gotten several of the Asian fonts on her computer. In Wordpad and WordPerfect they come up at the beginning of her font list as Arial Unicode MS, @MingLui, @NSimSun, @PMingLui and @SimSun. I have tried deleting them but they are write-protected.When you go to the font list the fonts are all there but many of them are invisible. I have tried uninstalling Office and reinstalling it but to no avail. I uninstalled it tonight but figured I would try and solve the deletion problem before reinstalling - in case they are connected.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI understand how to make Office applications always show full menus instead of collapse to only show the most recently used, but I want to do that same thing in my Start button. I have Windows XP Professional, but I have it configured in Start Menu Properties to use the Classic Start Menu. So when I click Start, then hover over Programs, it pops out the side menu, and that side menu always only shows the two or three folders or solo icons I've used recently. That is sooo annoying.

View 14 Replies View RelatedMy problems began when I tried to download Microsoft Office 7 on a trial basis on my laptop. I wasn't successful (don't remember exactly what my problem was). I restarted my computer and came up with a Windows Installer problem that I couldn't clear with Windows Installer cleanup or an upgrade to Windows Installer 4.5 (?). I could access the Internet, but not my email on Outlook 3.I decided to do a full reload of Windows XP Pro on the laptop. That apparently went well, but now I cannnot connect to the Internet (Windows Firewall is disabled). Access to email is okay on my desktop, and experts at AT&T U-Verse assure me that the problem is in my laptop.

instead of the standard multi-colored cubed icon that allows you to unistall
the file or view dependantcies. Can anyone tell me how this occurs?

It has no virus no nothing, I deleted the files in it but the folder is the problem. When i try to delete it says cannot read source and if i want to enter the folder it says that refers to a location that is unavailable.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded part of this file and then stopped it halfway through. Now I want to re-download it but it still is only downloading part of it (I think from the cache). Can someone please tell me how to clear the cache so that I can re-download the whole file. I cleared the Temp. Internet Files, Cookies, ran disc clean-up, shut-down and re-started the computer, removed and re-inserted the RAM but it still only gives my part of the file.

I am going to install the drivers now. Before that I was just trying to connect to the internet but cant connect at all. It doesent show any ip adress and also doesent show the side icon where it shows the interenet connected. The etheren cable is in and the modem is also working. I've created a ToC using TOC1, TOC2 and TOC3. I can modify the styles in either/both the TOC itself or in the text of the document, but I want them to be different from each other.
For example, in the text of the document I want TOC1 to be 12 pt font with 12pt above paragraph formatting. In the TOC itself, I want TOC1 to be 10 pt font with 4 pt above. Does anyone know how to make the style appear differently in the two different locations?
ive been constantly downloading updates for my XP system but how do i get new visual styles such as getting different colours for my taskbar similiar to the vista visual styles..please leave some suggestions??

They are much more narrow than before and all are a dark grey. Even pop-up boxes are the same color. I've gone into properties but can't seem to make it the old blue color again.
