I cannot change the font of the Outlook Express Page -- where the messages where ALL the messages are listed on the first opening page. The body of the message is OK when you open it. It is only the IN/OUT/SENT list of names that has a messy font? I am using IE6 and Windows XP Svc 1&2 Home edition
I have Windows XP Home Svc with svc pk. I have tried numerous times to change the fonts in OUTLOOK and nothing. I was always able to do this before.A little background. I ran into the same problem a poster here did with being booted out when I signed on. I kept getting the blue screen indicating a stop error. I worked for hours with MS and believe it was an ordeal because in the end I diagnosed and fixed the problem which had to do with disk scanning. Since then my settings are different and I have had to work really hard but I can't seem to get the font and font size correctly in my emails PLUS they are all my messages are now BOLDED.
I can increase the font size in the reading pane easy enought but I cannot change the font size for the folder labels or the list of incoming mail.Is there a way to do this?
I'm using Outlook 2002 in XP Home. There seems to be options to modify the fonts for the appointments, but no option I can find to change the default font for the list of tasks as they appear in the "Day Week/Month" view. Is there a way to change the size of that font?
I willl start with the most important one. Outlet Express. I open it and it cl;oses on its own before a message can even be selected. Just started doing this this morning. I rebooted and no change.
I am currently unable to open a .PPS email attachment directly from the email.I get the usual 'This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel.I can save the slide show onto the computer and open it from there without any trouble. I am running Windows XP Home, MS Outlook Express 6 and have MS Power Point Viewer 2003 installed.'' The preceding message was posted on 02/08/05 by BigBad64.I am repeating it here because it applies to me as well. However, unlike BigBad64, the solution suggested by Cetin Denislam didn't work for me.
Just happing a little outlook express problem, All emails I open, including newsletters and things I get from sites, no pictures on the page show, I just get a little [X] instead, like, if I have a email from ebay, there are heaps of these [X]'s all over the place where a little pic should be?

You can easily create an icon on your desktop that allows you to compose and sand a mail by double clicking on it without opening Outlook Express.1- Find a free space on your desktop and right click on it on New -> Shortcut2- Enter in the space 'mailto:' (w/out quotes)3- Press 'Next' button.4- Enter in the space a name for the icon (i use 'mail')5- Click 'finish'.That's it.
I have Windows XP, using Outlook Express. How do I change my name that appears in the FROM area when sending an email to someone? Right now I have only my first name, but I'd like to have my full name appear when people get email from me.
I change the font for my emails? I know I can change them on an individual basis, email by email; but I'd like to know where I can find the controller. Like why do I have to have Ariel as a font?
XP Pro MCE SP2,IE 7 Outlook Express 6. When I send a message my full name displays in the receivers Inbox From column and Contact list. I would like to change from full name to something else. How to do?
I moved an inbox file (inbox (2).dbx) from one computer to another. I want Outlook Express on the second computer to open that folder when I click on the the "Inbox" folder in the list of folders, but instead, it creates a new (and empty) inbox.dbx folder rather that opening the inbox (2).dbx file. On the originating computer, the Inbox folder in the list of folders has a path to the inbox (2).dbx file, while on the newer computer, the path is to a non-existent inbox.dbx file (which Outlook Express creates anew each time I open it on the second computer). I would like to be able to change the path of the Inbox folder in Outlook Express on the second computer so that it opens the inbox (2).dbx file and does not create another inbox.dbx instead.
I want this so that I can synchronize my email account between the two computers (without having to change the name of the inbox (2).dbx to inbox.dbx every time. I can find no way to alter the path of the Inbox folder so that it opens the inbox (2).dbx file on the second computer. And if I click on the inbox (2).dbx file and tell Windows to open it in Outlook Express, it opens Outlook Express, but still there is no folder containing the contents of the inbox (2).dbx file visible in Outlook Express! How do I change the pathway so that the Inbox folder in Outlook Express opens the inbox (2).dbx file?
Somehow my clock was a month out for a short period and all my outgoing messages in OE were wrongly dated. Is there some way I can re-date them? Otherwise, these messages will not appear in the correct date order in the sent items folder and this is important to me.
I store *.EML files in various folders around my computer, and I use Outlook Exress File/Save As feature, to do this. Each time I open these files from within these folders, Windows Live Mail takes control. I have been trying to change the File Association, but I cannot find Outlook Express, listed anywhere.

After installing Windows XP Home it disabled my Outlook & Outlook Express. When I try to open either program, a message states that it is an out-of-date version, then the windows installer comes up, then an error saying it cannot find 'omint.dll' cannot be found. I have tried to reinstall Outlook from XP, then from Office 2003 disks (original and a second copy with service packs), but I cannot get installer to install the programs

can anyone tell me what the difference between Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook is?I am trying to sync my email (contacts etc.) with a new Palm Treo phone and I think I may need M.O. instead of O.E., but I am not sure what the difference is or how to fix it!
I'm having an EXTREMELY frustrating problem on both FireFox and IE. For some reason certain text in some places is bigger than the text in other places. Let me give you an example:
This is what I see in imdb.com:
See the two different size fonts? They should be the same size, but they aren't! I've had this problem for months on this machine and I've tried furiously to get rid of it. Of course, I've tried messing around with the general font size (Ctrl & +/-), but here's an example of what happens:
Before (Note that the text in the white area is too SMALL):
After (NOW note that the banner at the top is too BIG - it messes up the graphic even!):
I just reformatted and was messing around with WindowBlinds for awhile so that may be a culprit, but even though I've now uninstalled it, when I am receiving mail in Outlook Express the messages come in large fonts, I mean bigger and darker than what you normally expect. Then when I hover over them or even click on then they go back to normal size. It's not that annoying, but peculiar. I've tried repairing Outlook Express the best I know how but nothing's changed. Is there a setting somewhere in OE6 that can change that or a registry fix?
When I open my home page (Yahoo), the font size always reverts to "larger".If I set it to " smaller" , it will revert to "larger" when I revisit my home page. I change it at ;VIEW >TEXT SIZE > SMALLER. How do I get it to stay the size I set it at ?
I use CorelDraw and with it comes a little app called Bitstream Font navigator. I try to use it as little as possible though as it always messes up my system fonts. Normally it comes right again after a reboot. This time though it won't change back. Seems it's stuck on Tahoma or something. how to change it back to whatever the default system font is?
I posted about this a few hours ago in XP forum but I can't find it now. When I click on it in my profile I'm taken to a page in the Feedback forum but it doesn't seem to be their either.?At most sites I cannot changing the font size. I have tried using Ctrl > scroll wheel and View > Text size But the text does not change. When I use Ctrl > scroll wheel the View > Text size setting does change. When I attempt to change font size the scroll bar moves moves tiny bit as though the font size was [going] to change.I am able to change the font size on very few sites. On the CNET site the font is much smaller than others. In fact it is so small I can just barely make it out with my reading glasses. But after a moment I have to stop as my eyes start hurting bad.I am able to change font size in Word and such. The font size in this Message body box is normal but the font size in the Subject title box is tiny.I am using XP Home SP2 and IE6. No viruses, ad/spy ware, etc.I would appreciate any help to fix and/or understand what may have caused this problem. If anyone responds please send it in email to me via my profile as I probably won't be able to make it out in the forum.
