When I open my home page (Yahoo), the font size always reverts to "larger".If I set it to " smaller" , it will revert to "larger" when I revisit my home page. I change it at ;VIEW >TEXT SIZE > SMALLER. How do I get it to stay the size I set it at ?
After restoring my windows XP everything in print is so much larger including task and tool bar. How can I make everything smaller to be able to fit more in my screen
I dont' remember exactly what preceded the change (i seem to remember a windows update), but now all of the fonts on any webpage (including this one and my received emails) are font size 14 or bigger (im not sure) instead of the usual 10.
When I send an email I can't change the font size. I have tried going to tools and changing the size and I have tried to change it in the format box of the send screen. The number in the font size box will change to what I have set it to, but when I start to type in a message, when I hit the first letter the font size goes back to 12.

How would I set the home page for all users on XP when using roaming profiles? I would like to just set the home page locally for all users on that computer.
I have a font problem on my Windows XP professional. When any software uses some kind of system font, it is a bit to big. Looks like it is one or two pixels to big, og maybe in bold? This error shows up in some softwares, like in buttons and some texts. Its also there when a software crash, in the window that pops up asking if I want to send the error or Microsoft.
I reinstalled Windows for my sister, who is visually impaired. I just installed Windows XP Pro. Just finished it, and then handed it over to her, to customize her settings. Since she has bad vision, she usually lowers the resolution down to 800x600 and has the font size and title bar sizes larger. Well as soon as I left her alone with her computer, she messed up the windows or icon settings so bad, so everything is HUGE. Everything is so huge, that (what should be) small menus now fill the whole screen. We can't get to the part of the preferences window to change the resolution to something higher, and we can't get to anywhere (that we know of) to change anything back to something resembling normal. Basically, we can't do anything anymore.I know I can reinstall Windows XP all over again, but since I JUST DID THAT I'd like to avoid having to do it all over again. Is there some way to reset the preferences, without having to reinstall the whole operating system for something so seemingly idiotic?
I have finally decided to put my screen settings to 1024-768 or what ever that one is lol .. but my only problem now is the font size.. for example up top of this page where it says file, edit, view etc..is really small and same as the name thats down on my bar at the bottom of my screen where my open windows are they are really small and I want to make them bigger how do I do that? also .. my quick launch icons are super small can I make them bigger? For some unknown reason or cause, my internet explorer's font size became so small that it is barely readable. How can I make the font size bigger? I tried Tools>Internet Options>Fonts but its doesn't allow to change size.
Hey all. Today I just noticed that while using IE its displaying some website's in extremely small font. I run a Dell Inspiron 5150 with an external monitor hooked up. I have had UltraMon installed for a few days now, but the problem just started this evening. Any ideas?
Running XP SR2 on a new HP I am very visually impaired I was able to increase font size in all areas except one any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated. The area that I need to increase font size is the windows help information box when I enter a question in Windows or any app the answer box has this TEEENY font and I just cant see it. Is there any way to increase this font. (Would I have to reduce the resolution on my brand new LCD?) thanks
When I was trying to make my XP SP3 look like Vista, I changed something for the font. I used Movefile and a script. When the computer restarted, the font had changed, but is far too big and looks terrible. I didn't save a system restore point and I have tried changing the font size in 'Display Settings', then 'Appearance'. And I have tried changing the DPI setting and the 'Display Settings', 'Settings', then 'Advanced'.
In trying to enlarge font for my father so he could view things more easily, the font on the internet is much too large. Some web pages are not viewable because of it. I have tried the Accessibility, Display, Font via the Control Panel. Tried internet options via IE. Suggestions please. As always, thank you .
In diferent programs (example - WinRAR, Winamp) font size in some windows are too big (see picture), it don't fit the window . I can't find any setup to regulate this font size. I have Windows 2000.
Other than Window Blinds, which I've had it with becasue it's so buggy sometimes, is there ant way to increase the size of Fonts in those right click menus and the one you get when you hit start and all programs. I imagine threre has to be a registry fix for something like this. The only other way I know how to do is by going to properties/appearance and font size but that throws the other fonts I want to keep at their chosen size,
I can change the font size of everything except the window text (see screenshot), i.e. the size of 'themes', 'desktop', 'windows and buttons', etc.Under Advanced, there seems to be no option to change the font size of window text. Is there a way to do this?
When I print anything off a web page I almost need a microscope to read the print. This is a sudden development - although I haven't installed anything new or made any changes recently.I can increase the font size on the screen OK, but whatever I print is still the same tiny sized printout on paper. Appreciate some help and advice as to how to make my printout readable
I want to increase the size of the font on the different bars [don't know all the names of them], the one where file, edit, view, etc are. also the one at the bottom of the screen too.
We recently purchased a 22" widescreen Samsung EX2220 LCD monitor. Unfortunately the icons and labels on thedesktop and the teston the toolbars, taskbars, drop down menus are too small. I've changed the setting several times (Control Panel -display-Appearance-"Font Size" and all the "advanced" settings.) By doing this the fonts and text gets larger. However, every time we re-boot, all the settings go back to the way they were small. Does anyone know how to keep they large after a reboot?
I posted about this a few hours ago in XP forum but I can't find it now. When I click on it in my profile I'm taken to a page in the Feedback forum but it doesn't seem to be their either.?At most sites I cannot changing the font size. I have tried using Ctrl > scroll wheel and View > Text size But the text does not change. When I use Ctrl > scroll wheel the View > Text size setting does change. When I attempt to change font size the scroll bar moves moves tiny bit as though the font size was [going] to change.I am able to change the font size on very few sites. On the CNET site the font is much smaller than others. In fact it is so small I can just barely make it out with my reading glasses. But after a moment I have to stop as my eyes start hurting bad.I am able to change font size in Word and such. The font size in this Message body box is normal but the font size in the Subject title box is tiny.I am using XP Home SP2 and IE6. No viruses, ad/spy ware, etc.I would appreciate any help to fix and/or understand what may have caused this problem. If anyone responds please send it in email to me via my profile as I probably won't be able to make it out in the forum.
Is there a way to change the font size of the programs listing? I've tried every individual setting under the advanced appearance tab and none seem to have an effect on this. Is this one of the unchangables 'ol Bill put in Windows?
I can increase the font size in the reading pane easy enought but I cannot change the font size for the folder labels or the list of incoming mail.Is there a way to do this?
