I did a search in relative to my error but couldn't find a solution from some of the previous thread with the same error code. I get the following blue screen message:Error:A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. A wait operation,attach process, or yield was attempted from DPC routine. If this is the first time youve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer.If this screen appears again,follow these steps: Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need. If problems continue,disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components,restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Starup options, and then select safe mode.

I'm running Windows XP with all the latest updates on a Dell XPS 410. My on-board DVD drive is an HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H31N. Whenever I try to load a disk in the drive, it crashes. Insert, hum, crash. BSOD. Also, if there's a disk in the drive, the computer will go into a BSOD before it can boot. I have a few suspicions about Alcohol 120% causing this, but I've tried uninstalling it, and that hasn't fixed the problem. I also uninstalled several other programs (MagicISO, IsoBuster, PowerISO) and not seeing the problem change. DVDIdle might, I guess, be another possible culprit, though I don't know. I would think the fact that I can crash before even making it to the startup screen disqualifies a certain amount of software. But if you think I should go ahead and uninstall a bunch of things again, I will. I've tried flashing the firmware. It hasn't helped. I can't seem to find any new drivers for it. I've tried googling and such, but I haven't found a solution there either. This one really has me stuck.

I am getting a BSOD and the error says: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA STOP: 0X00000050 (0X81000078, 0X00000000, OXF9E129BD, 0X00000002) spooldr.sys - address f9e129bd base at f9e11000, datestamp 469e788d I tested to see what drivers are not digitally signed because I read somewhere to check that and it said that the omci.sys and tcpip.sys are not digitally signed. I am testing all the hardware as we speak with PC-CHECK, the RAM seemed to pass all the tests. I can log in to safe mode and I tried restoring to a previous date and it worked for a while. I was able to uninstall the McAfee Antivirus which I thought might be the problem, but still BSOD...

Have some strange problem that nags me every so often. when i boot up the computer i will periodically get a bsod with "bugcode_usb_driver" listed as the cause. I suspect it may be from some webcam i had tried to install, though i thought i had deleted everything. The error only shows up every so often randomly, and then sometimes when i do certain things. For instance, I disabled startup item Navcpl which i believe is norton antivirus (which just came with the computer, im using another program). the computer would not boot up until i went in in safe mode and reenabled it. Yesterday I partitioned my hd using a linux program (though linux is not yet installed, just a cd boot), and since then windows keeps asking me to do run a disk check when i boot up. if i skip it i will boot up fine, but if i let it run, i will count down to about 2 seconds (from 10 that it gives you to skip) and then give me the bsod. very strange.unfortunately the problem had started a long time ago, so i cant do a system restore (i thought i had solved the problem a while ago, but like i said every so often i would get the error on boot, i had been keeping my computer on for long times and so i didnt notice it).googling and checking the forums have turned up nothing. i saw some solutions online and on microsofts site about the same driver error, but under different circumstances, nothing like the problem im having.

A friend installed his copy of XP on my machine many months ago. I already had my own license for XP at that point, but as a matter of convenience at the time, we installed his copy. Now as you know, MS won't supply automatic updates anymore, because they think I have a stolen copy of XP. Technically correct, but realistically, not quite that bad. How do I tell the operating system my correct license code? Will I need to reinstall the OS, or can it be done with less fuss?

My problem has been identified and I have instuctions to fix it but they seem vague to me. Evidently, uninstalling Adaptec CD creator software has this effect everywhere. It locks out any and all CD drives. The solution is to completely remove the upper and lower filters values for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEM CurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

I am attempting to repair my install of XP (trying to avoid a complete redo at this point). When I pop my XP disk in, it does not allow me to do anything since I have SP2 loaded. So, my next step was to slipstream SP2 onto my XP setup disk. I followed the directions in this article:

computer about 5 years ago, it came with Windows XP Home edition reinstalled. The manufacture did not include a windows XP Home disc - instead there is a Windows XP Home code sticker on the back of the computer.
I have to replace the hard drive and do not wish to pay the retailer to reload windows XP Home -have installed other Windows operating systems and hard drives so I have the skills for this task. Now my million dollar question - Product key codes with Windows XP; f I borrowed a retail copy of Windows XP Home can I use the Windows code from the Microsoft Windows XP Home sticker on my computer to reinstall Windows XP Home on my system and activate it or do I need a new key code?

A friend of my daughters has a packard bell pc (4 years old). After ridding various virus from the machine and coming to a full stop they decided to use the restore disc (red floppy) and restore to factory default - all appeared to be going well. Machine froze after telling them to remove the floppy, when it came back to life it requested master cd1, which they dont have and dont remember ever having (bearing in mind machine is 4 years old). What do you think the best track would be to contact packard bell for master disc. I wondered whether my copy of xp home would work with their pc and their code - afterall they have purchased the machine etc. or am I being totally blonde. I am quite happy to reformat for them if this is a possibility but dont want to attempt it if there is the possibility it wont work. I realised xp is one machine one copy but not sure whether this is reliant on code or not.

Once I press cancel to debug it comes up with "No debugger found. Registed JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a JIT debugger with the following command resulted in an error code of 0x2(2). Please check computer settings." How do I fix this problem? It looks I lost my booklet with the instalation code for my computer system. I bought my HP Pavilion a1012x 2 years ago. I created emergency, recovery dvd as instructed at that time. It looks I missplaced the code for the installation of it(can't find it anywhere). I wanted to clean my hard disc due to the fact that my comp has become very slow. I think reinstallation of the system would be the best solution as I tried for virus search, registry reparation, creating new recovery points, removing some programs but all without result. Is there any chance and way to recover my installation code from my computer now in order to reinstall my operating system from my emergency dvd? My OS is Windows XP HE, SP2, with all updates(76477-OEM-0011903-00106

I am trying to get my usb flash drive to work, and I get this error message. Windows cannot use this hardware device because it has been prepared for "safe removal", but it has not been removed from the computer (Code 47). To fix this problem, unplug this device from your computer and then plug it in again.The only problem is, is that i don't have the device plugged in. I tried uninstalling the device and restarting, but there it is again at the start up. When I plug the device in, the computer will not read it.

I get the following message when I go to device manager and look at my cd rom drive, which has an ! on it."A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)"Recommended resolution The start type for this driver is set to disabled in the registry. Uninstall the driver, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall or upgrade the driver.On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard. If the driver is required, and if reinstalling or upgrading does not work, change the start type in the registry using Registry Editor. For more information, see the Registry Reference in the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Resource Kit I have done extensive research on this and all the work arounds that have been suggested do not work for me. The only course of action I feel is possible for me is to edit the registry. I have not been able to find any directions on how to do this short of buying microsoft's "Windows 2000 Server Resource Kit" which is suggested in all my research. This book is Hugely expensive.

Windows XP. I have bought two keyboards, one USB, the other ps/2, but neither has changed a thing as far as eliminating the code 39 message I am getting when I go to device driver. There's also the exclamation point in yellow, that hasn't changed either. Things I have done include uninstalling and reinstalling, but since I can't do anything more than copy and paste, there isn't much I have been able to do as far as msconfig or safe mode. (I've tried to go to diagnostic mode via misconfig but it asks for an administrator password and I have learned passwords can't be copied and pasted).

After a fresh installation of XP the onboard network card is no longer working with the error message "This device cannot start (Code 10)". I've changed no parts, same process on installation, bios settings are fine, formatted and re-installed to the same error so I was hoping somebody could help me find out what the problem is.I'm using the Gigabyte EP41-UD3L which has the Realtek RTL8168D(P)/8111D(P) as the onboard NIC running Windows XP Pro SP2. I just used the motherboard installation CD to install it initially as I did on the previous install and have also tried new drivers but had no luck. I've never run into this Code 10 error before so I'm not sure where to go from here and any help will be appreciated.The Windows knowledge base isn't much help either as it's explanations for code 10 are.If the device has a FailReasonString value in its hardware key, that string is displayed as the error message. The driver or enumerator puts this registry string value there. If there is no FailReasonString in the hardware key,

I have HL-ST CD-RW GCE-8481 B and IDE-DVD Rom 16x I run windows xp home edition. A few days ago I had to do a system restore, but couldn't go back any farther than the month of July.. At any rate, both drives show up in Device Manager as well as my computer. They both light up, but nothing plays. I have unistalled both of them, windows finds new hardware, but the same error message is still there "windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware, the driver may be corrupted or missing code 39" I have read about going into the registry and I usualy get into alot of trouble with that. What I would like to do is a complete recovery using the hp recovery disks that I made when I got the HP. Windows came pre- installed with no disks other than the ones I created. My question if I do this will I be able to use the disks since nothing is playing in either of these drives? My computer is a Desktop , HP Pavillion model is 220N.
