Graphic Cards :: Output Content Of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 To Dell Inspiron 7520 Via HDMI Or VGA Socket
Jul 15, 2014
Is there any way I can output the content of my samsung galaxy note 2 to my dell inspiron 7520 laptop via hdmi or vga socket? From my research I found that only the alienware laptops have hdmi input.
I have an ASUS s550C running windows 8 and my HDMI to my 32" RCA flatscreen doesn't work anymore. The cable works fine with the xbox, correct tv modes, but now as soon as I plug in the HDMI to the Ultrabook the Ultrabooks screen goes black and the tv screen says unsupported. I have tried extended, 2nd screen only, and all screen settings, 720/1080I etc.
Yesterday, I restored my Inspiron 15 to it's factory settings. Post-reset, I installed all drivers for Windows 8 directly from the Dell website except for the AMD driver which I took from the AMD website (just wanting to get the latest directly from the source, I guess). I also used that "Dell Detect" thingy to make sure I have all the latest drivers for everything.
After installing, everything worked great, but I realized that when the display turns off / when I shut down the laptop / when I close the lid, it does not turn off the computer or hibernating it or making go to sleep - it just keep running but there is no display, total darkness. Trying to press the power button / F4-F5 / any other button-pressing related solution did not work, only hard-reset.
Googling this issue, I found that it is very common, and many people with almost brand new Dell laptops, just like me, have encountered the same problem. In most of the solutions offered it was said that doing so would cause the system to mainly use the Intel Graphics HD card and not the AMD, meaning that for games and graphics, the AMD won't matter, which doesn't seem to be fair after paying extra exactly so I can have a dedicated card.
Either way, I started with the first which was using Windows Update. After checking the Windows Update updates list, I saw 2-graphic card related items - something called Graphics Adapter WDDM, one for the AMD card and the other for the Intel Graphics HD. After installing this update, I realized I can successfully turn off the laptop.
Once I turned it back on this morning, I got a pop-message:
I then realized that it just simply doesn't see/use/detect the AMD card. This is how my AMD Catalyst looks right now:
Looking at Everest, you can see it only sees the Intel Graphics HD:
However, device manager is still listing the AMD card as if it's properly working:
And if you look at the event log, you can see that initial driver was installed right after the Windows 8 fresh install I made a day and a half ago, and then there's other events, last night, around the time when I installed the Windows Update thingy:
I bought dell inspiron 7520 and tried creating the additional partition on the hard drive. After rebooting the laptop started showing blue screen and saying that the file Windowssystem32winload.efi doesn't exist or is corrupt. Error code: 0xc0000225
Since the laptop was sold just with the installed windows but without the CD with windows8, I'm not able to reinstall it.
I have an Inspiron 7520 and uninstalled and reinstalled the new version of Dell Backup and Recovery Manager -- upgraded to premium to make sure that I would have full ability to use the program. Note: the old version didn't work at all -- hung up on backup, etc. I have rebooted.
When I try and open the Manager interface, I can't. All I get is the clock logo with the hand spinning. I cannot set the destination. I cannot select what I want to back up. I've tried this several times and just get the spinning clock which I end up ending through Task Manager.
I have tried opening the Manager from the installed link on desktop, from my list of programs, from the Start menu, and from the tray icon. Nothing works.
Whenever my windows startup i get a popup error message which says "Your system does not appear to have Intel Rapid Start Technology enabled". I have a 32G SSDR mSATA Card. I have not received this message when I was having Windows 8. How to enable Intel Rapid Start Technology?
When i tried to install Intel Rapid Start Technology Driver from Dell Drivers (APP_iRST_W8.1_A01_Setup-7VYC3_ZPE) i get message stating "The Computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."
Recently, I got a new graphics card for my computer (the card was Galaxy NVIDA GEForce 620). Well, after install some things changed that I do not like:
I can no longer sleep my computer. The #1 thing I liked about Windows 8 was getting to sleep the computer/ wake it up real fast. After I put this card in, the only options I get are Reboot and Shutdown. (And I even had to turn fast startup off, because when I start the computer up with it on, my USB's loose their functionality).
So I recently bought a new computer. I was using the GTS 450 on the old one no problem not even a month ago. I have attempted to install it on my new pc. Switched out to a Thermaltake TR2 600W PSU which is operating just fine. I placed the video card into the primary pci slot and powered it with the 6-pin connector. Put everything back together and started her up. PC turns on fine, with even the fan going on the video card. But no video output. I'm stuck. What can I do? The drivers won't install themselves without the hardware.
-Running my PC with a Radeon HD 7700 on Windows 8, main display is monitor in DVI port, secondary display is HDMI running to my LG TV for playing videos (only enabled some of the time in AMD Catalyst Control Center under "Desktop Management>Creating and Arranging Desktops")
-Normally, I enable the 2nd desktop (my TV) through the HDMI output of my video card easily. However, about a week ago I ran into an issue: while the OS detected the display, it only recognized it as a monitor in 640x480 resolution.
-I tried several things to fix the display issue, but was finally successful by changing the HDMI cable connected to the TV side to the second HDMI port on the back of the TV (that is, going from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2). This fixed the issue immediately.
-Good till yesterday. Now the HDMI 2 is no longer detected as a valid display. HDMI 1 (the original connected port) is still detectable, but it's still having the 640x480 max resolution issue (and no audio output as well).
-HDMI 3 on the TV currently works, but that is the final HDMI port on the TV, and I don't want to continue moving the cable without resolving the issue. I have tested the TV HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 ports with other hardware, and they seem to be working without fault with a DVD player or Media box, so I doubt the issue is surrounding my TV.
my dell inspiron 7520 running windows 8 on it but i have purchase a windows 8 pro and wish to install on it.
i delete all the partition inside hard disk, put in the disk and boot on it but a message pop up "The product key entered does not match any of the Windows images available for installation. Enter a different product key."
how can i solve it? how can i install windows 8 pro with the windows 8 pro key? can i delete the license key in BOIS?
i finally worked out how to get full screen on my tv when connected via hdmi from laptop, which is great. only now found that when i shut the laptop screen i lose the full screen on the tele and it sizes down to about 50% with the black boarder. on my laptop control panel "what does computer do when i shut the lid" i have selected "do nothing" on both wired and battery modes. How I can close the lid and keep full screen? (the tv is a celcus full hd smart something or other and laptop is hp running windows 8.1,
When I hook my laptop up to the TV with a HDMI cable my laptop screen goes dark and the TV only shows the task bar and the desktop background. Sound works. No mouse or actual programs are displayed. I would like to mirror the TV to my desktop. My laptop is a HP Pavillion Dv7-4285dx running Windows 8 Pro 64 bit.
I have a AMD 5650 that shows a black bar that is 1 inch on the left and right and about .5 inches on the bottom on HDMI. I've used the drivers that Microsoft provided and also beta drivers from AMD from Febuary 2014, nothing seems to work. I've taken a picture, I've underlined where the back bars are in red.
Well I have been having issues with my monitor. I had a Toshiba laptop I had hooked up to my monitor, everything worked great. It then crashed, I got a new Dell with Windows 8 64bit and Intel graphics. I have an HDMI to VGA adapter cause my laptop doesn't have a VGA port and monitor doesn't have HDMI. So I hook it up and get it to work but "Input Not Supported" was floating around the screen.
So I changed the resolution. The only resolution that makes the "Input Not Supported" to go away is 1600X200. Well its clear picture but I have the annoying black bars on the side of my screen. I have looked around and everyone says to go to the CCC but I can't find it on here and from what I understand that is for AMD only(if I'm mistaken how to make it work cause I have attempted it). So is there an Intel version or how do I fix it?
My wife has a nice new VAIO laptop. We connect it to a Samsung TV with an HDMI cable. Initially there were video artifacts on the TV screen, but after some fiddling they seemed to go away. Today they have returned. I have tried another HDMI cable and it didn't work.
The artifacts are only on the TV screen and not on the laptop display. They cannot be captured with a screenshot (I just tried this and am posting from my computer).
The web search picture (HDMI.jpg) shows small vertical lines in a row after some of the text.
Last night I got hold of a 27" BenQ GL2750HM, so far so good. I have my main display from the DVI port to HDMI port on the screen and my secondary screen is my 60" TV which is connected through HDMI port on the graphic card into the HDMI port in my reciever.
The main scheme for my setup is like:
- Radeon 7970 DVI > HDMI Main monitor (BenQ GL2750) - Radeon 7970 HDMI > HDMI Reciever (ONKYO TX-NR609) - ONKYO TX-NR609 > 60" TV
So to the problem now. When the HDMI cable is connected to the graphic card, I need to have my TV ON in order for my main monitor, the BenQ, to work and if I turn off the TV the BenQ is getting black, like a standby mode, however, there is "no signal" to the monitor.
This was never a problem with my other screen, I could have the HDMI cable connected to the graphic card, the TV off and the reciever OFF without the main monitor went black.
I successfully got bootcamp to work on my iMac, and the only issue that I have run across is that I do not have any sound whatsoever coming out of my speakers.
The sound icon just remains at the speaker with a red cross, and no matter what I do, I just can't get it to work.
In Device Manager, the sound device that is being used is 'AMD High Definition Audio Device', and I can't seem to find an update for it anywhere. Under the sound area of control panel, if I go to the playback tab it says that the only available playback device is 'AMD HDMI Output', and it says that is "not plugged in".
I've bought an HDMI cable to connect my laptop to TV, i've gone into the control panel and checked that "show disabled devices" and "show disconnected devices" are both allowed and still i dont seem to get an option for HDMI for audio. The picture has come through fine, but nothing I do with the audio seems to work.
When i try to connect my samsung galaxy s3 to my pc via USB, it simply works the first time. But when i remove my s3 for like one hour (or more...) and i try to connect it again, Windows 8 wont recognize my s3. but then, when i restart my pc and i try to connect it again, it works...
I've used multiple usb hook-ups so I know its not a bad cable. I've tried searching for the device/ adding it manually nothing will work. I've also tried using different USB ports, no luck.
Ok after recently installing 8.1 and installing Kies 3 for my S3 Ive been checking my event viewer and seeing the below error consistantly , googled it but no real joy.
The device GT-I9300 (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 5 more times in its own process. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem.
Ive checked the drivers uninstalled and reinstalled removed kies 3 and reinstalled but still showing.
My Inspiron 7520 laptop arrived today and I've been trying to get the various Intel features to work on it. I've got the rapid storage (ssd cache drive) set up but I think I may have broken the rapid start feature of it along the way. Now when I start the laptop I get an error saying 'your system does not appear to have intel rapid start enabled'. When entering my BIOS, the intel Rapid Start Technology is greyed out and I can't click it.
I thought it may have been because i set all available space on my SSD to the rapid storage feature. So I changed it and made it so that it only takes about 20gb (of the 32gb) and tried to follow the intel guide of setting up the rapid start feature [URL] ....., however I received an error on the part where it said 'setid=84 override' which said my partition it was not of the right type or format. So after reading another guide online it said to try using the partition type of MSR instead of Primary. So I tried that and now the partition is hidden from disk management and I can't seem to delete it from diskpart either.
My windows 8 laptop will not connect to the wifi hotspot of my samsung galaxy s3. My windows 7 laptop connects just fine & the windows 8 laptop connects to my broadband router ok so it doesnt seem to be a physical problem.
I have a new Dell XPS with Windows 8. I was just starting to use it when I tried to explore bringing up a second monitor. For some reason the system doesn't recognize the second monitor. I then accidentally selected "second monitor only".
now I am without any monitor. When the system boots it recognizes the primary monitor (DVI) but then goes off to look for the second monitor. My system has AMD DVi video card as the primary video. The other video port is VGA, but I cannot get any monitor I have to work from it.
Is there a way to reset the video selection without having to use the mouse to navigate to the Devices selection?
My computer is hp envy dv6 7280sf notebook with 2 GPUs intel graphics HD 4000 and Nvidia Gefoce 630 M running windows 8 64x.
After making an free upgrade online for windows 8.1 which run successfully, both gpus were ok...
But after receiving a windows update with new drivers for intel graphics 4000 gpu , after install and restart , the computer freezes on blank black screen at windows startup with no mouse or anything only backlight.
So safemode was succeful but i figured that the update for windos update was the cause and graphics drivers were installed so i removed the drivers for intel graphics and itried to reboot the computer so the restart was succeful but the intel graphics card was unistalled and no drivers were automatically installed so i tried to download and install the drivers from hp and intel website for windows 8.1 however the install fails.
Automatic install from device manager failed both online and from computer and even from manual driver selection.
So therefore the install failed in safe mode , and the high def audio device ( on screen audio possibly) failed and the device was not recongnized (no drivers installed) so i'm stuck without anydrivers for the integrated gpu and the games are no longer able to run normally even if the nvidia card is on.
I tried downloading an installing Windows 8 drives but it failed to install also , for instance any new install of drovers seems to fail for me even for external usb hard drive.
I'm building a system for cryptocoin mining, and am having a little problem with getting Windows 8.1 (home, not pro) to run the 3rd card (GPU) My equipment is:
Here is the problem... everything boots just fine and runs with 2 of the GPU's installed. I have the latest AMD 13.12 drivers, and the AMD APP SKD installed. When I add the 3rd GPU though, windows will auto detect it as a Radeon 7900 with the caution sign, AND/OR a r9 200 series card, also with the caution sign, most times BOTH. Then it randomly freezes the system. A couple of times I got it to run long enough just by luck I guess, to install the 13.12 drivers on the 3rd GPU, but then in a few minuites the system would freeze again.
2 GPU's run just fine, the problem only shows up when the 3rd card is installed, and it happens on any of the 4 16x slots, or both 1x slots on the MOBO. It doesn't matter if the GPU's are directly on the MOBO, or on 1x16 risers. There are plenty of folks running this set up with up to 6 GPU's, so I know it can be done, but I must be missing something somewhere in the windows set up.
