May 4, 2014
Download and try to install: "Apple Application Support is required to run itunes helper" How do i get Apple Application Support?
Then "feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is not available" "Try to find iTunes64.msi." Can't find it. "users/mineAppdatalocal empIXP688.impitunes64.msi"
Need for my iPad. Tried on Firefox and Explorer. "installation package can't be found".
I have windows 8 pro. Trying to install Itunes 11.01 64bit for Windows 8. Keep getting message "This app can't run on your computer".
Did a Google search on this problem and tried running as an Administrator, and changing compatibility to windows 7, but still get the same message. A suggestion online was made to save file before u download, but no prompt comes up to save.
I have an online course where the audio/video files are in itune store, but everytime I click on the link, it said itmss protocol is not registered in Windows, so the only solution seems to download/install iTunes for Windows. I'm trying to use VLC for all my audio/video files, so if I can avoid installing iTunes and still be able to download and watch the course video/audio, would be ideal.
Here are my questions:
- how can I visit itune store and check which free video/audio files are available to download. The ideal would be just click on the link, but everytime I tried that, the FF responded that does not know how to handle it.
- what's the format used by apple for audio/video files in itune store?
- supposed that I could download the video/audio files from itune store, is it possible to play with VLC?
My environment: - Windows 8.1 pro - VLC 2.1.3 - 6GB RAM - intel i3 CPU
I've found that on my Windows 8 64-bit PC whenever I try to install a new version of iTunes it always gives me an error. The only way to upgrade to the latest version is to uninstall iTunes completely, reboot, then install the new version of iTunes. Could it be because I'm running the 64-bit version of Windows? It's kind of annoying completely uninstalling iTunes just to upgrade to the new version but it's not a huge issue.
I recently updated to a HP laptop with windows 8 and downloaded iTunes and transferred my music over which I can open and play, however when I try to go the iTunes store I get "iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I never get any notification and I can't work out the problem, I have uninstalled and re-installed and still have the same issue.
Ever since I tried installing iTunes on my Lenovo y410p (Windows 8 x64), it will crash after it starts up. I've tried completely un-installing and re-installing, but to no avail. I've noticed that it only crashes when I'm connecting to the internet
I was wondering if it's possible to take windows 7 from my first computer and install it to my new one that has windows 8 on it (windows 8 has problems with its wifi where windows 7 worked perfectly).
Ever since this new update with 8.1 I can't install any new apps... I first noticed when my Mail app stopped working and froze my computer. So I uninstalled the app and when I tried to install it back I get the screenshot below.. So I tried Yahoo Mail, some games, some other apps.. Nothing will work. Mail finally said it installed, but it's not on my computer and the app store says it's already installed. I have my own custom built computer, if you need the specs look under the specs drop-down, it's all there...
Is there a version of Itunes that's compatible with Windows 8? I've installed Version 11.0.4, which is supposed to be compatible, several times, but it just won't run.
I installed Windows 8 Pro on my now defunct computer way back when it was first released by downloading the files and saving them to hard disk before upgrading from Windows 7 Pro. I then upgraded to 8.1 and now 8.1 Upgrade, but that computer crashed badly. I have removed the hard discs and disposed of the computer. I am in the process of buying a new computer and want to install Windows 8.1 upgrade onto it, on a Solid State Drive. I can copy or clone the original "C" drive from the defunct computer onto the SSD, but, of course, none of the other specs would be the same. (I am taking advantage of the disaster to upgrade my specification. - A better CPU, and a better motherboard with more SATA and USB3 connections and, above all, a greater memory capacity of 8MB RAM, - the defunct computer only had SATA and USB2 connections with only 3MB Ram). Will a clone of the "C" drive work to give me Windows 8.1 upgrade on the new computer? If not, how can I transfer the licence from the defunct computer (I cannot get into it now, although I can get into the "C" Hard Drive)? I have the original download of Windows 8 from Microsoft available on the hard drive, although I do not think in a bootable format, just as a file on the harddrive. I can, however, install Windows 7 as I have my Windows 7 CD. how I can transfer my licence and install Windows 8.1 Pro Upgrade
I just purchased a new laptop 3 days ago with windows 8 and I am trying to export my movies onto itunes but they won't import. Previously on my older laptop I was running windows vista and the movie files played on itunes. They were mp4 files. I went onto the set defaults for programs and tried un-checking the mp4 box on the program "Video" which I think may be the reason I can't export them onto itunes but the box won't un-check.
My setup of Windows Media Player maybe the reason that my entire ITunes library has copied into W M P. I found out how to empty it ,but it keeps coming back. How do I stop this happening.
I recently re installed Windows 8 then upgraded to Windows 8.1 because I was having BSOD. Now on the fresh install, which is 4 days or so old, my computer BSOD on start up like before.
The windows 7 usb/dvd tool will not recongnize my flashdrive. I am trying to install windows 8 on my friends laptop but it will not work it says there is no compatible flashdrive in the computer.
This is the message it says : There is the flashdrive i using, there is the information about the flashdrive
Is it the flashdrive and how do I get it to work. I tired using a fat32 format on the flashdrive that did not work either.
I purchased a GMYLE Windows media remote to control dvd software on my computer which works fine but the remotes nav, play and pause buttons etc also at the same time controls iTunes, is there a way to stop the remote controlling iTunes?
Just some info, obviously it does not happen when iTunes is closed but I like to keep it running all the time to download podcasts in the background and don't really want to keep closing it when I want to watch a dvd.
Also I went into iTunes/preferences/devices and ticked the box "only allow paired or home sharing remotes to control itunes" but every time I open iTunes preferences again the box is un-ticked.
When I plug in my iPhone, iPad or iPod into my Windows 8.1 Pro PC it launches Windows File Explorer instead of iTunes. There's no option in Autoplay for iTunes.
If I launch iTunes manually the iPhone, iPad or iPod can be seen and used in iTunes.
How do I get iTunes to show as an option in Autoplay
I have a graphic card nVidia GeForce GTX 750, which has worked properly in some cases but in others something strange is happening.
Recently I was playing FIFA 14 and suddenly a BSOD pop up, with a message "whea_uncorrectable_error".
Before I used to use Google Chrome as my default browser, but when I watched a video from YouTube in Chrome the same BSOD pop up.
I think the problem is related with the graphic card, but when I play other things, for example, Assassin's Creed or League of Legends, the problem never emerged.Another interesting thing is that I'm unable to install linux in my computer, because it reboots automatically after some minutes, and based on what I researched is related also with the incompatibility from linux (fedora, ubuntu) with my graphic card.
I recently built together a brand new computer but after installing windows 8.1, the computer keeps BSODing with different error messages all the time. I've been trying to install my battlefield 4 but during installation, it will assuredly BSOD. It also BSODs when im transferring a large amount of files from my usb external hdd. Even in the process of trying to collect the minidumps and zipping the folder, it would also BSOD. I have already tried reinstalling windows but it has no effect.
My internet explorer also keeps not responding and while installing other programs they also "not responding"
Edit: after posting this, I was trying to install chrome from the internet but everytime I tried it kept BSODing, total of three times with each different error names
Experiencing issues trying to download game apps from the Microsoft Store. He gets a message stating that the install can not be completed and the error code is 0x80070091.
I used Team Viewer to connect to his and attempted to do several different free games and all of them do the same thing.
I ran Malwarebytes and had some Mindspark pups which we eliminated. Did several of those scans and they have come back fine.
Checked his Windows Updates and there only 3 optional ones, Silverlight, bing bar and something else, can't remember which right now.
Ran the HP assistant to make sure that there were no HP updates that needed to be done.
Then, ran a sfc/scannow and the 1st run through came back with some corrupted stuff and, I guess, it fixed some stuff?
Ran that again earlier today and the log came back much shorter than the 1st run last night.
At this point, I don't know where to proceed from there... I am attaching the log ...
How do I put apps onto my 64 Gb "Secure Digital Storage Device (D", (Micro SD memory card). I have it listed under "Libraries" in "File Explorer" at the moment. I have installed all my pictures in there, along with "File History". Now I need to put some large apps in there too, if possible.
How to authorize my itunes from my mac in the other room to come through the firewall. If I turn the firewall off it works, but I tried adding two new ports and that didn't work. The diagnostic program is useless.

I recently got the new windows 8 phone and when I plugged it into my computer after creating an Xbox Music account it automatically imported a handful of songs that are in my iTunes library... I literally did not do anything. I want to get all of my music onto Xbox music so that I do not have t bother with iTunes anymore.
If iTunes is launched with User A account, when I switch to user B account on the same machine, iTunes music is stopped and I would like music continue...like in Windows 7....
Is it possible to indicate to iTunes to not be suspended when user switch and continue to play music in background ?
