I have upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium, when I try to insall Pacific Fighters the user acct. control pops up. When I click on yes it does nothingWhen I right click the DVD drive to open , I have clicked on Install or run program, Open and nothing happens. So decided to do a clean install from the original disk. This is the same disk used for the previous clean install.Once disk started and accepted the terms of service choose Install - Custom and formatted the drive... really wanted a clean install. After the format chose next and the install seems to start normally. During the "Expand Windows Files"?, I think that is what it says the following error comes up...Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files for installation are available. 0x80070079.

My problem is, since I changed the OS to this "more advanced", I cannot play Flight Simulator 2004 without this error message that closes the game. "Insufficient memory, please check your hard drive..." My system only has Flight Simulator installed, plus microsoft office and Avg antivirus (not counting with all the system updates, drivers etc). I don't understand this problem, because before this OS, I had Win XP 32 bits, with a lot more programs and addons installed and running, and I never had this problem...even with all the graphics pumped up to the max in the game. My graphic card is Asus En9800GT nvidia with 1gb ddr3 and HD with 400GB still to use (same board and HD used with XP).

My computer shows Disk Volume Error every time I run system maintenance. I tried Chkdsk, disk cleanup and disk fragmentation, but it did not work. Also, my Local disk C is reporting only 8 GB of free memory. But in realty it has 17 GB free memory. Even I could not extend my disk volume through Disk Management.

So, ok I have Windows 7 Ultimate installation dvd and i tried to install it,everything goes well untill on the second line of the very beginning of windows installation 98% I get this message Error Code: 0x80070570.

My sister's computer has been running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 for more than two years. We obtained the copy from Amazon. The copy we have appears in a genuine box, with COA with interwoven holographic strip, and holographic cds. We went away camping for a week, turned on the computer on return, and the screen went black when the computer did the update check. Error code is 0xC004F200, and optional update delivery no longer works. There is an error code down the right corner, notification that build 7601, windows no longer genuine, etc.
This copy was only ever used once, and on this machine, and obtained for this machine. It has never been installed on anything else. We checked the product key via computer properties, and it said that the product key suddenly no longer matched the product key on the box/cds. On trying to change it, a dialog box came up and said that the product key has been blacklisted. We researched this, and the net said to contact microsoft.
BTW, we ran the diagnostic tool as admin.

I tried installing the virtual machine, running the install disk from within XP, no luck. I shut down the virtual machine, then tried running "Windows fax and scan", it sees the device, opens up the "new scan" window - then gives me the error message "An error occurred while setting scanner properties. If another program is scanning, please wait for it to complete and try again." (I had reloaded MODI and MS Photo Editor earlier, could that be creating a problem?)

In previous installations of Win 7, I've observed that about 29MB are copied to the System Reserved partition. In this scenario, only 11MB are copied. I've performed the following trouble shooting in order:
- Changed out the DVD drive. Tried installation again without success.
- Performed factory system restore on the hard drive. Tried installation again without success.
- Replaced the hard drive with a new one. Tried installation again without success.
- Removed all PCI cards, and tried again with just the PCI-E video card. Tried installation again without success.
- Replaced the PCI-E video card with a PCI card. Tried installation again without success.
- Cloned the "System Reserved" partition from another PC with a functioning install of the same OS. Tried installation again without success.
It should be noted that this specific machine was previously running Win 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. I was simply attempting to upgrade the hard drive. I've also tried to install Win 7 Home and Win 7 Pro, all with the exact same error code, which occurs during the same phase of installation. I also tried to perform an Upgrade install. The machine accepted a complete install of Win Vista Ultimate 64 bit (twice), but had the same error codes appear during the Upgrade install to Win 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. I reformatted and reinstalled same Vista 64 bit OS. I tried to install Win 7 Pro 64 Bit, and again encountered the same error codes. Incidentally, I have used 3 different Retail Win 7 install media. The machine passes all MemTest and CPU diagnostics.
i've recently decided to reinstall windows 7 64bit because my computer started freezing up occasionally while browsing, playing games or even watching Internet videos... the freezes would pass after a few minutes and the computer would recover and start up/shut down would take a long time as well. so i thought that reinstalling windows might work as i haven't done it in a long while. but i encountered a problem while installing windows 7 64bit, i receive these errors (0x8007045d and later after trying a few things it changed to 0x80070002 both times it stated something about files missing or being corrupt) while on the "extracting windows files" section of the setup.
i've done a clean install every single time and formated my hdd (seagate barracuda 7200.10 320gb) but got an error every single time but at various %'s (once it went up to 70% other times it would get stuck as soon as 5%). i've tried switching ram's, switching dvd drives, disconnecting my gpu but nothing seems to work... has my hdd died? or perhaps my mobo or cpu is acting up? i burned my windows 7 iso's myself via imgburn - i've used the slowest possible burn speed (x2) and did it multiple times but every single dvd gave same error. also i've tried multiple iso's and downloaded them multiple times as well to confirm they didn't get corrupted while downloading.

clean install to mechanical not SSD so you can use ASUS software once WIN 7 installed to merge them with the "Marvell 9128 6GB port"...Regarding BIOS funnily enough I have seen images of the UEFI BIOS in forums with all 8 ports on the deluxe in SATA configuration in advanced settings however mine only shows six (and no duplicate for UEFI like other images of UEFI i've seen"?and I have updated the UEFI BIOS to the latest version..
For some reason, I am no longer able to play MKV files through WMC on my 360.
The error message it's giving me is:
Cannot play Video,
The file type is not recognized and cannot be played. Either the correct codec (a file that compresses/decompresses audio or video) is not installed or the file is corrupt.
It used to play fine when I had installed K-lite codec pack as well as Divx direct show filters.
However, I had bad ram and had to re-install Windows 7 and since then, playing MKV movies on my 360 through WMC does not work!
Any suggestions?
