I attached a Minidump files.
Sadly my Advent 9215 has a habit of shutting off sometimes and it is annoying.I am aware of my laptop being fairly warm but no where near too hot!Weirdly it refuses to turn on afterwards sometimes without the power lead plugged in. Weird or what... and it wasn't low on battery
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy problem is when I go into computer (my computer) the search in the top right isn't working from within this window! However if I click to go into an individual drive the search will then work from within there on the individual drive. At first it told me the index had been switched off, so I turned it back on even rebuilt the index. & its still the same except it doesn't tell me about the index when I try to search anymore.
It will still search within the individual drives but not from within the computer window. Apart from this the installation works fine. I even run a scan with Kaspersky & Spybot S&D to make sure of any nasties causing it. & run a CHkdisk this morning. I would rather not have to perform a system restore or new installation. It took me ages to install all my apps & don't fancy doing it again.
Before this problem happened, I downloaded my GPU enhancing software. It kinda screwed the graphics and I think at this point the problem began.I don't know how to copy the what bluescreen said. But I think it said some new software or hardware causing the windows to not function properly. So, I deleted the GPU enhancing program completely (I thought it would be bertter to do recovery, but there was no critical update.) Deleting it fixed my screwed graphics but not the bluescreen problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I search in Windows 7, I want to have the ability to open found folders in a new window. If I r-click, that option is not there. Is there a way to add this to Windows 7?
Also: When I go to 'open file location', the file's folder opens in the same window - highly annoying. In Vista, it opens in a new window. Anyway to change this behvior in Windows 7 to act like Vista, so the file opens in a new window?
I am running into an issue where I can open a window/program with my mouse however once the window is open I cannot click inside of it. The window becomes inactive. I also have noticed I cannot right click on my desktop to bring up the properties. I can right click on the window in the task bar to close it but not in the window. Since this is happening I am limited to command prompt. I ran sfc /scannow with no errors. I tried with 3 different mice. I booted the computer into safe mode with command prompt and brought up the device manager to show devices not in use, and when the device manager window opened I could click inside it! since I could use the window I uninstalled all mouse drivers, and reinstalled my microsoft wireless usb mouse driver.. while in this safe mode I changed my mouse properties to system default as I read somewhere that can reset things. Next I booted the computer in safe mode (without command prompt) and still the same thing. I was trying to do a restore point as well however my Kaspersky antivirus 2012 is preventing that as i cannot find a way to kill the program through command prompt.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Huge problem on my hands! Please note, this is my first post on sevenforums. I got home today and tried logging into my laptop today and it took about 15 minutes just for it to get past the 'Welcome" Screen. Once I was in, it IMMEDIATELY came up with "Windows Explorer has stopped working" then it goes in an endless loop of that and that it is restarting windows explorer. I have tried going into safe mode and booting it that way but then it automatically kicks me out of safe mode and restarts in normal mode.

I have just changed laptop to one using Windows 7-64 bit. I have a Canon MP830 printer/scanner and have downloaded the latest MP Navigator software/drivers from the Canon website but when I run it I get a error "CODE : 2,155,0" unable to connect to scanner.
I have done all the usual things, changing USB cable, uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling etc. but to no avail.
I have just downloaded Vuescan as a trial and it works perfectly.

View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday i accidentally dropped my laptop (HP Pavilion G6) and the battery fell out, it was plugged in at the time. It didnt fall from much of a height so i thought it would be ok. Upon starting it up again it came to a black screen asking if i wanted to use startup repair or start up normally. i swear i clicked on start up normally but it chose startup repair regardless. I left it overnight on the startup repair function as i heard it could take a long time for the program to run.

So I'm trying to get this thing working; but I cannot find drivers anywhere. It is one of those Gamestop 3rd party controllers for the Xbox360, and I have seen these working on computers before. The model number on the back is Item #4716 Gamepad. There are no drivers on the madcatz website; and yeah I know I could just as easily go out and buy Microsoft's 360 controller for Windows, but I'm a little light on money and I'm trying to get what I have working. You'd figure it's a USB device so it would work, but hey; nothing's perfect!

View 3 Replies View RelatedA couple days ago, my keyboard and touchpad mouse stopped working. I thought it was a hardware issue and ordered a replacement keyboard. As for the touchpad, I'm just using a wireless mouse. I replaced the keyboard a couple days later with the new one, and when I turned on my laptop, it works again, but when I put my laptop to sleep and wake it up, I hit enter, and then it stops working. I cannot type anything until I restart my computer. I figured it has to do something with the drivers, but I'm not too sure. Here is my computer specs:
Product: HP Pavilion dv9700
Model: dv9925nr
Windows 7 home premium 64bit
I've gone to the HP website to get the drivers, but they do not support windows 7 for my computer.
