How To Connect Laptop To Projector
Jan 3, 2012When my DELL laptop is already running and I connect a DELL projector, using the keys Fn+ F7 to transfer the screen on the laptop to the projector does not work. To connect the laptop after connecting the cable to the projecter I have to reboot each time.

The keyboard is active and using the arrows I can send signal through the VGA port. Dec 23, 2012Following a Windows 7 update my laptop would no longer recognize my projector, which it had been doing for some years and immediately prior to the update. I also find that my laptop now no longer recognizes my monitor, which again it had been doing for some years. Different cables are used so it is not a cable problem. I have been through all the obvious things and have looked for updates to the graphic driver, but no better updates available.When I plug either of these items in to my laptop the screen resolution on my laptop changes as if it is recognizing the additional hardware, but in neither case is anything displayed on the remote device.

I got home today and tried logging into my laptop today and it took about 15 minutes just for it to get past the 'Welcome" Screen. Once I was in, it IMMEDIATELY came up with "Windows Explorer has stopped working" then it goes in an endless loop of that and that it is restarting windows explorer. I have tried going into safe mode and booting it that way but then it automatically kicks me out of safe mode and restarts in normal mode.

This projector uses a USB to Projector connection to allow the images to be projected through the projector. It says that it uses drivers to do this, but I called AAXA and they said that Windows 7 is currently officially supported - that it may work but they can't make any guarantees.
Has anyone ever heard of a USB to Projector type of projector before? Anyone try the AAXA M1 on Windows 7? The projector looks really cool and is cheap ($299) but I want to make sure it works first...

Laptop Keyboard Does Not Work After Sleep And Touchpad
Apr 4, 2012A couple days ago, my keyboard and touchpad mouse stopped working. I thought it was a hardware issue and ordered a replacement keyboard. As for the touchpad, I'm just using a wireless mouse. I replaced the keyboard a couple days later with the new one, and when I turned on my laptop, it works again, but when I put my laptop to sleep and wake it up, I hit enter, and then it stops working. I cannot type anything until I restart my computer. I figured it has to do something with the drivers, but I'm not too sure. Here is my computer specs:

I've gone to the HP website to get the drivers, but they do not support windows 7 for my computer.

It connects to my work wifi network just fine (automatically) but I can't get it to connect to any wifi networks outside of work. If go to network settings and look at the wireless adapter and view available wifi networks, nothing comes up. It looks like the laptop has an alternative program that controls network adapter (Dell network adapter program) but it won't open when I double click it.

After several reinstallations of Windows 7 and Sony drivers, however, I have identified the pattern. When the laptop is on AC power, connectivity is not a problem. When I'm on battery power, however, the network adapters cease to work and actually completely disappear from Device Manager. The is true even when the battery is fully charged and everything else works normally.I have already tried going into all the power management settings for the laptop itself and for the network adapters and made sure that they are not being shut down when the laptop is running on battery power, and yet the problem persists.
