My widget icons have inexplicaby moved from the right of the screen to abouy 2 inches to the left, thereby obscuring some desktop iicons. How can iget them to "snap" backto where they one belonged (get back-beatles)?
View 7 RepliesRecently with items pinned to my Quickbar, when a window is open and moved off screen the quick-launch shortcut is removed (so that when you hover over the quickbar icon, nothing displays). Normally you can always see the "shortcut" display of any window of that type open.In my opinion this is a great feature which allows me to remove clutter on the taskbar while still keeping the window open. This "feature" isn't working right now (i.e. no matter where the window is, minimized or off screen the "shortcut" display on the quickbar always displays it), and I was wondering if Windows was bugged, or if this is a toggle-able feature.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't recall any recent change before this issue, but everytime I start my computer, all my icons go to the left side of the screen. I temporarily downloaded a software to reset my icons when I start the computer, but I don't want to keep on having to go through this all the time. I tried the regedit...that didn't work. I tried right clicking the desktop and resetting them there...that doesn't work.

I opened my Lightroom 2.5 program and my pictures are really screwy looking. IS THERE A WAY TO EXPAND THE SCREEN TO FIT THE ENTIRE MONITOR---hope this isn't a stupid question, I searched long to try and figure this out.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHard to describe in a short title.I have been having a few strange problems here and there with the system. Not sure if it's Malware or if I've just done something wrong.Basically whenever I move a file the icon for the file remains in place and whenever I try to move the icon Windows recognizes that it isn't there even though the icon remains, exiting and re-entering the folder which contains the icon makes it go away. Similarly whenever I empty or fill the recycling bin the icon doesn't change it's appearance until I navigate away from the desktop.I've also been having other issues.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an Acer Aspire as well as an HP Compaq Presario (both running Windows 7). Both have had this problem, though the HP only happens every now and then. Now, on the Acer when I save an image/file/folder/etc to the desktop and then decide to delete it, the content is deleted but the icon stays. I have tried rebooting the computer and it does not work. The only way I can get rid of them is to create a new image/document/folder with the same name and then using the "Shredder" to delete them permanently. The shredder however is only temporary, in fact I can only use it 14 more times.

I discovered that if I operate the mouse quickly, the cursor would appear from the top right corner of the screen but as soon as I stop the mouse, the cursor moves quickly back to the top right corner and disappears. I do not have the time to click on anything. I tried rebooting my modem and router but that doesn't work either. Only thing that works is that I need to restart my computer.

I am on it all the time looking up reviews, and guides, and tips, and comparisons. I can't imagine that this isn't on the forums but couldn't seem to find it (sorry for repeat if so!). It's simple to describe - sometimes (not all the time) if I minimize, move, or close a window bits of it remain on screen cut off. It doesn't seem to be a specific program and it happens with the right-click menus too. Is this just a driver issue? That's the only thing I can think of.

PC name, network etc) but after it said it was preparing for first startup, nothing boots. After restarting.. besides the startup Acer screen, there is only a black screen with a blinking underscore at the top left. Whats happening :S?
I've tried F2 and running a setup but it just shows me some specs and such

I have installed Word 2007, the problem I have is that when I want to type something the blank page always appears to the left of my screen. This is frustrating me as I like to type with the page in the middle of the screen.

My daughter was using my MSI laptop and when she tried to start the computer all that came up was a black screen with the cursor in the upper left corner. That went fine, computer shut down and tried to install Windows updates. Now won't restart.Hangs on Fujitsu screen with options for "<ESC>: Diagnostic Screen, <F2>:BIOS Setup, <F12>: Boot Menu" and Blue progress bar. Progress reaches about 75% complete VERY slowly (hour) but then hangs on black screen with white cursor in top left corner. Been like that for 2 hours now.Have tried solutions from Google - click F2 then re-setting boot order in Bios to "default order", click F12 and choose different options, tried F8 for safe mode, but F8 doesn't do anything.I don't know if it's related to Searchqu, to the updates or if it's just a creepy coincidence and the computer itself is actually broken.
