I am trying out the split screen function - I move my web browser to the RIGHT side and it splits it half the screen - but when I move another web brower or notepad or anything to the LEFT hand side, it doesn't do anything. It just stays where it is. Any ideas?
View 5 RepliesI'm using the Lenovo multi touch driver for my X61T. With Windows 7 build 7000 the same driver when I wake my laptop from sleep the touch screen works. Starting with build 704x (i can't remember the exact build but it was the first leaked x64 build) when I wake the machine from sleep the touch screen doesn't work (both pen and finger touch)
I have tried to change USB settings but I haven't seen any fix. A restart of the machine means the tablet works again. Any ideas about a patch until Lenovo makes new drivers for Windows 7?
My little brother came home from work one night and now is screen doesn't work at all. no flickering, backlight etc. I connected it top the TV via HDMI and even that didn't show up anything.How high are the chances that his graphics card has died?
View 3 Replies View RelatedOne day i was on my computer and it crashed and since then every time i try and open up my computer normally it will reach the point where my user has to log in and cut out just before. Can still hear windows just my screen says "no connection with pc". Ive tried other wires/monitors and stuff and nothings worked.I have a Nvidia graphics card and ive tried completely removing my nvida files and reinstalling the drivers from the website. When i uninstalled the graphics driver it allowed me back onto windows normally except when i reinstalled the driver (on the normal version of windows not saftey) after the restart it went back to the same problems.

I am on a terminal server environment and when I connect to a Terminal server (windows server 2003) I can drag the windows to any screen but once I can't drag back any applications of windows i open on that particular server.. which is annoying.. any thoughts??

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to get two web pages displayed at once on my windows 7 system!! What I want to avoid is enabling the Aero Snap? I thought I overheard my IT guy say that it could be done without it? I have had problems with Aero in general. Like I wanted to do the cool thing with my files where they blow one after another through the screen like a deck of cards and you can stop to look at one or you can keep it going? How do I enable that feature? I think it makes the files like glass tiles and you can just see through them as they move along. Then I want to be able to have the two web pages at the same time on the screen? Is it true that you can not view secure pages when you use this feature?

I have checked around and I have done everything I can think of to see what could be causing the screen freezes including: Checking Processes for something hogging CPU, checking event viewer system and application for excessive errors, running memory diagnostics and running in safe mode but I have had no luck. What could be slightly more alarming is that I am fairly sure that this freezing problem is actually occuring outside of Windows, in the BIOS I could still notice the freezing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI received my sony vaio 15.5 eb series i3-370m laptop today. However, the left click on touchpad right clicks. Support told me its a hardware issue that cannot be fixed and that they can send someone over. Also, if i want to close the firefox window... pressing the left or right click works which is a problem with this touchpad. The scrolling of the touchpad however has no problem though. Would you guys suggest i sent this laptop back instead? If they send someone to come and repair it, they would have to open the laptop and i don't think that is good for the long run of Should i just request a new one instead?I would assume i don't have to pay the extra $50 now correct? The battery life i notice is around 2 hours just web browsing. I am thinking if i should just return it and get a sager 5135 because i heard battery life is 3 hours and it offers 1080P. But i know that laptop does not look as good as a sony one. I will mainly play online poker with applications on it and browse and listen to music.I just talked to support and did trouble shooting and installed a driver. What is funny now is that the left and right click buttons don't even work anymore. However, the left click and button button works if i click on those items on my taskbar such as internet explorer and windows explorer. But if i click it a 2nd time, a new explorer will show up. I cannot click on anything besides those 3 items on my taskbar with the left/right click now.Someone said this is a setting issue but i did everything with settings and it doesn't work. Sony support though say this is a a hardware issue and because when i plug an external mouse and it works perfectly fine, its the hardware and i would need to have a sony technician come over.Would you say my buttons work fine based on what is happening? I have checked the settings for it and everything is fine. This is so frustrating.

This can be resolved by right clicking on a blank spot in the program I am running. This has happened in Windows Explorer, Lord of the Rings Online, or even on the desktop. I have tried two different mice, re-installed the drivers for both, updated the video drivers.....everything I could think of short of using a restore point. The only software change has been the latest Windows updates. I am running Win7 Home Premium on a laptop. The two mice I have tried have been a MS mouse and a Logitech one.

I am on it all the time looking up reviews, and guides, and tips, and comparisons. I can't imagine that this isn't on the forums but couldn't seem to find it (sorry for repeat if so!). It's simple to describe - sometimes (not all the time) if I minimize, move, or close a window bits of it remain on screen cut off. It doesn't seem to be a specific program and it happens with the right-click menus too. Is this just a driver issue? That's the only thing I can think of.

PC name, network etc) but after it said it was preparing for first startup, nothing boots. After restarting.. besides the startup Acer screen, there is only a black screen with a blinking underscore at the top left. Whats happening :S?

I have installed Word 2007, the problem I have is that when I want to type something the blank page always appears to the left of my screen. This is frustrating me as I like to type with the page in the middle of the screen.
