Drop Down Boxes Close Too Quickly
Mar 19, 2012Drop down menus and windlows close before I can make a selection. This started after I stayed in a hotel with 1 gb/sec connect speed. The house computers always defaulted to switch user. After I check out I discovered that my lap top did also. I cannot even delete a progam using control panel. The window immediately scrolls to the top each try.

Auto-Right Click In Search Bar When Open Start Menu
Jan 13, 2012I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit. For other system specs I have added them to my profile.
When I open the start menu whether it be with the windows key or mouse click a right click menu pops up and appears to be right clicked inside the search bar, I tested this by copying some text and clicking paste on the auto right click menu.
It stays there until I click something but will come back within 1 second or until I stop holding the mouse button.
Quickly Hide Tray's Hidden Icons Menu?
Jan 27, 2012The little popup box in the tray that comes up when you hit the up arrow (to "Show hidden icons") is bugging me. It seems to have a timer built in that hides it a couple seconds after you click on one of the icons inside. This really bugs me. I would prefer that it either hide itself immediately after I click on one of the icons (but not if I right click one, obviously) or else lets me hide it by clicking directly on it somewhere. I know I can hide it by clicking on the arrow again, but some of my tray applications (namely my Portable Apps Launcher) minimize again if I click that arrow, leaving me with no other option than to wait for that annoying box to hide itself and get out of the way.

Dec 28, 2011I have a mounted .iso image file using DVDFab.I am able to play the file by going to my computer then right clicking on the mounted drive & choosing media player from the autoplay popup window to play it.But I want to use powerdvd to read the file and I am unable to do so because it doesn't recognize the image folder as a source.Is there a way I could add the cyberlink powerdvd to the autorun popup window where we can find listed windows media player, media player classic etc... I don't need to go to "view more autoplay options" and choose powerdvd inside, this is not helping in any way?

Jul 1, 2012When I start up my computer, my Steam starts up, then I manually start Chrome. Chrome comes up fine, Steam does too, but when I try to right click on Steam and click friends, all it does is create another steam process running at 100-108 K. Then if I close Chrome and try to reopen it, it will do the same. This happens with EVERY program after I start up. There's a 5 second window where I can open programs without issue, then after that it will only start 108 K copies of them. It takes me around 30 restarts just to get it working properly, if not more.

Dec 15, 2012The Auto repair was useless, and to make matters worst, I started getting the evil blue screen. After a week of headaches, I decided it wasn't worth it. So, I used safe mode to save all our pictures and my books on a flashdrive(nothing else, just so it whatever was hurting the comp wouldn't come back on). Then I decided to recover the comp so I could rid it of whatever was causing the awful blue screen. It fixed it, until recently. See, now the comp won't start up at all without the Auto Repair coming on. Even when I get the option to start up windows normally and bypass the auto repair, I still end up back on the auto repair. I'm totally lost on what to do.

Jan 16, 2013I ran across an issue when I booted my computer this morning. One of the tray icons was missing that usually shows and my cursor was spinning non-stop. Not to mention nothing else worked. When I went in there and looked gupdate was no started at either time. The first time 9:35:58am was when this whole mess started. I just happened to go back an hour later to look in Event Viewer and it was listed again and still not started with the same explanation.Would this have caused this freeze or crash and is there anything that can be done to rectify this deal? I know some people disable gupdate and everything to do with it but I do not want to get into this.

They don't start automatically in auto-play to load, and my reading of the file labels in the CD makes no sense to me.

Reset winsock settings
Ran SFC /scannow
Did system restore
Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers
I tried all of these in normal mode AND in safe mode. None of it worked. Then i thought the service dll (C:Windowssystem32wlansvc.dll) itself might have been damaged/outdated, so I decided to delete it and put a new one from donor pc. NOPE.It wouldn't give me access to the file. No matter what i tried, safe mode, unlocker tools, auto rename it on startup, doing everything in administrator or even messing with permissions under file properties. It just wouldn't give me access to the file.Wi-Fi was working smoothly few days ago and i literally have no idea why it stopped working.
